amazing, amazing, amazing! great doctor, very compassionate and informative. even though i was just a patient just like any other patient, they made me feel like i was VIP. very clean, and modern office also. i went in for a yearly OBGYN check up because my previous senile gyno misdiagnosed me with HPV — in a frantic state, Dr. Fahmy and his staff were able to accommodate me ASAP to be provided with with a second opinion. went to my appointment, did what we had to do, and i was even able to get my results in about 1 week, via email pretty much. unfortunately, i no longer have health insurance coverage since my coverage was from a previous job but as soon as i get a new job that offers insurance coverage, i really want to go back. this is your go to doctor. i wish every doctor was like De. Fahmy!

A wonderful human being and healer, Dr. Fahmy has been a special person in my life and I am grateful to have him as my doctor and my friend.

Doctor Fahmy has been seen my son, my husband, my daughter in law my friends as myself for many years now. He is super human, friendly makes jokes to make you feel comfortable. He has been always available for us, I rarely wait like for hours like the typical doctor. He is competent and listens to any concerns I may have. I also relay on him for specialist and have always be super satisfied. Definitely a special Doctor!!!

I went to Dr. Fahmy on for a UTI, saw him and thought the experience was fine. He made some awkward jokes while giving me an obgyn exam («Pain is optional in my office, you have to ask for it»), but I thought nothing of it. I got my medications and moved on.
Nine days later, I got a call from Dr. Fahmy saying that I had gonorrhea, and that I had better get myself and my boyfriend tested for HIV and other STDs as well. This was a huge shock as both my boyfriend and I had been tested (negative) just two months before, and neither one of us had been with anyone else. Dr. Fahmy told me that the positive result was 99.99% accurate, so I called my boyfriend, and to make a long story short, we both had to assume either infidelity or inaccurate results. We both got retested (not cheap when your insurance doesn’t cover STD testing every other month) and both of us came out negative. So in the end, it was a very stressful and unnecessary saga, all brought on by an (apparently very unlikely) false positive STD test that I had not requested, and which Dr. Fahmy only called to tell me about a week after he received the results (I later called and had him fax the paperwork to me, which was dated exactly a week before he called me).
Of course, the above could just be a medical abnormality — the lab could have mixed up my results with someone else’s, or the test could have just been that 1/10,000 false positive chance. But I did not appreciate being notified a week after the results were returned, and I felt that Dr. Fahmy was less than willing to discuss the possibility that the result could be a false positive (I called back twice for paperwork and to ask whether there was any likelihood that the test was wrong, and both conversations were terse — I felt like I was wasting his time, as he spoke extremely quickly, did not elaborate, and seemed hasty to end the conversations).
In the end, I don’t blame Dr. Ahmed as it’s impossible to say what exactly went wrong with the test — but I do think there are better ways to handle one’s first STD diagnosis, whether it is accurate or not.

Dr. Fahmy is an excellent, attentive doctor. I was referred to him by another doctor and he far exceeded my expectations. He and his staff immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. I highly recommend him. Never thought I would look forward to going to the doctor again!

Made an appointment with him on a friend’s recommendation to establish a PMD. Seems like a very observant & knowledgeable doc. Easy to talk to & makes you feel at ease. Office is comfortable with no stuffiness about it.

After reading Sunny’s earlier post, I can only think that she was having an off day, because Dr. Fahmy has been more than attentive, kind and helpful to me. I was referred by another «satisfied customer» who has also referred her entire family. Everyone has given Dr. Fahmy rave reviews. Further, I referred a friend for cosmetic work, who was thrilled as well!
Take it from me, a woman who was considering paying $$$ to a well-​known Columbia-​Presbyterian MD, just to get the support I’d always hoped to receive, but never got… In my experience, Doctors always seemed to be to be disinterested and condescending; then, I was referred to Dr. Fahmy. He is my PCP now and for as long as I’m in the NY area!

There are better, more attentive doctors out there. If you read the reviews on the 2 other websites, they are great (that’s why I went), but because of my experience, i now believe that those reviews may not be done by actual patients. His staff is great though — very attentive. And btw, his sense of humor was just awkward…

Dr. Fahmy is the most attentive doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. Not that the business of lady business is exactly a pleasure, but if one must attend to such things (and one must), it’s best to be in the hands of a true professional who actually takes the time to sit down and listen to your questions and whose bedside manner makes your visit as painless as possible.
