Al Araf Halal Fried Chicken

I think this place is a good choice for take out meals. A large variety of items are provided, and they open until very late. The food is not quite delicious, and too oily for me, but the price is unbelievable.

Okay last week we came here since my husband loves fried CHICKEN! I am not really fan of it but it’s okay I guess I’ll have it since he wanted to, so we came here the price is pretty decent! But the place is super filthy!!! While we were eating I was telling my husband the health department should really visit this place! The tables are sticky, crumbs everywhere and dirty! The are so cheap as well they serve you food with 1 napkin are you kidding me? And no spoons or knife and when u ask them for one, they give you the look like you asking them for their kidney! The bathroom the worst thing ever is dirty DIRTY DIRTY!!! Water is dripping everywhere, smelly, the have no toilet paper, the soap is mixed with water!!! And the mirror is tiny from 99 cent store and cloudy! I will post pictures so you guys can see. After reading people comment I am so not going there anymore sorry I don’t want to eat hair! Also it’s super hot there!!! You can cook an egg in top of the table! The place is smelly and filthy! Save your time and money and go else where! They sweep the floor while serving you food and the owner wife or who ever the hell she is her hair is so long all over the food no wonder people were saying there is hair in their food YUCK!!! Gross!

Went today for the first time and wow I’m impressed. I ordered 4 naan, 1 kebab, 1 Philly cheesesteak combo, fried chicken and cheese pizza slices. This totaled to $ 11! So cheap and great quality! I love American food but I always wanted it to be halal, this place has it all. I love it. And the service is amazing. The lady at the front works so quickly and she’s so nice! I highly recommend this place. It was amazing!

I think this place is efficient for a late night snack. I usually order 2 chicken burgers for $ 5 bucks. For 2.50 you can’t beat that price but here’s the best part Im pretty sure they make it to order because the pattie is pretty crispy. I wouldn’t say this is a type of place to take a date however it is a place to get a quick meal or pieces of chicken for your family. It’s decent food and gets the job done.

This was my first time coming here and I had the most terrible experience with this place and I don’t plan on ever going back there.
I picked up an order of fries with chicken leg and chicken breasts and once I opened it at home, I found a huge clump of hair wrapped around the chicken. (Pics are included) it was disgusting, disappointing, and unappetizing to find that there.
We drove all the way back to the place with the order to ask for a refund but instead the owner yelled at us saying we were unfair for asking for a refund. I think anyone would want a refund for their order because it’s just disgusting and i don’t know how they can miss something like this when they were putting it in the box.
His argument was «Don’t you find hair in your food at home?» After hearing that I told myself I can never go back. If the owner has to argue with a customer for a $ 10 order instead of just giving a free order or refund then it tells you something.
Not to mention this place got a B rating for sanitation (I saw the sign after leaving the store).
Be careful guys! I was really so displeased with this place.

I came here on Friday evening to enjoy some halal fried chicken (2 chicken breasts and 4 legs) and fries. What I expected was a nice crunchy meal fried to perfection to help my starving hunger.
What did I end up finding instead? Several strings of hair in a clump attached to the skin of my chicken breast. (pictures attached) yummy! I live about a 20 minute drive away and was already home by the time I noticed this disgusting find. So, I had to drive back to this disgusting hole of an establishment and waste my time further.
As if finding the hair wasn’t horrendous enough, the customer service was further an abomination. I asked to speak to the manager and asked for a full refund, and had no interest in receiving another chicken breast because clearly the quality of care in making the food is lacking.
The rude manager tells me he is willing to refund the one piece of chicken breast with the embedded hair and not the rest of my meal. Excuse me? You are not going to refund me fully even though I found nasty hair in your food that is cooked with the same oil and the same preparer as the rest of my meal?
To make matters worse, the manager yelled at me to understand the situation because «it can happen at home and you can cook with hair any time.» He claimed that I was being «unfair» in asking for a full refund. Um, no sorry, I do not consume hair on a regular basis although, thank you for your half assed defense.
All in all, what a disgusting establishment, food and management included.
I will NEVER be returning and hope others do not have to deal with the bs I dealt with today.
It is baffling to see how a place can have horrendous customer service AND they can add hair into your meal as a bonus!
ALSO, keep in mind that they have a B for their health inspection grade. Something I should have noticed before ordering obviously so my mistake!
THE ONE STAR IS FOR THE BOTTLED SODA I PAID AND KEPT AND WELL, ITS MANDATORY.

Cheap fattening food we love our greasy fat food. Quality well” its «fried» any thing fried tastes good fried, just ask any southern man. Halalaa doesn’t make difference, if it is cheap eat it. other wise there’s KFC OR POPEYES. yuummm

Very nice decoration. They menu really affordable 10 $ 15 pcs chicken. Cheese burger 2.75 $. Place was busy and clean.

I visited this place for the first time today after hearing great things from my sister and a friend. I was really surprised by the selection! They have burgers, steaks, fries, tons of side orders to choose from, fish, gyros, lamb chops and even breakfast until 12PM! And this is only the stuff I remember. My burger was pretty good. a regular beef burger with cheese, meat was cooked well and the lettuce/​tomato was fresh.
And just wait until you see the prices. holy moly it is cheap! My burger was $ 2.75! Maybe they’re this low because the place just opened up but I don’t care. if it was 3 or 4 dollars more than what they charge now it would STILL be cheap. Three lamb chops for $ 5?! I’ll be coming here again and again for sure. Can’t wait to try their other stuff and I’m so glad I live nearby!
Oh and the place is pretty spacious compared to others in Jackson Heights, so you can come with a group and grab a table.
