Wendy & Amenda have been doing my nails for years! I dont know why I haven’t written a review sooner. They are both methodical and always give me the best acrylic sets and fills. I recently moved and tried a new place near my new apartment. My nails were TERRIBLE! Wendy fixed them the next day, and they were beautiful. I will forever drive back to Astoria to have my nails done by Wendy!

Amenda does a great job on my nails. Takes her time to make sure everything looks great. Gives great massages. Always holds a conversation, love her.

I have been going here for years. Ask me why? Cause of the municipal parking next door. LOL My boyfriend yells at me and says that they do such a horrible job, which is true, I need to go elsewhere. My nail polish is always lumpy and chips the same day. I have seen Wendy add nail polish thinner solutions to the old polish several times to avoid buying new ones. Like, really are you people that cheap. It is kinda insane how I went there for so many years. If you make an appointment, they never are ready for you when you come in. They make you wait an additional 20 mins. Also, they are very very pushy with selling extras. They ask you if you want 1,000 different services within 10 mins, massage, quick dry, eyebrow, lip, Like no! If I want it I will ask you for it. What is funniest is if you say no to the extra services they offer, you can tell they start talking crap about you in chinese lol! Im so done with this place although KIKI was the BEST! I will miss her. She did great nails but the cheap old polish sabotaged her skills. Ps-They are also kind of dirty. They don’t practice the best sanitary skills. The Dept. of Health will have a field day with this shop when the nail salon grading system passes through

16 bucks for a mani pedi? Yes. So much yes. They are clean and very thorough as well. I didn’t have to ask my nail tech once to clean up anything. And they are super nice. And cheap!!!

I was recommend here by a friend. I’m 50⁄50 on it. The good part is they don’t rush and the staff are very friendly. It’s also very clean and all bottles(cuticle oil, acetone, etc.) are clearly labeled. The down side is the place is VERY small(4 manicure stations and 3 pedicure chairs) so when it’s busy it’s a long wait. It gets frustrating when you’ve been waiting for 20 minutes and when a woman walks in after you the staff says she was here and came back so technically is ahead of you. Not cool. Please tell me that when I walk in and ask how long the wait is. Bottom line-go before 5 pm weekdays and never on weekends and you’ll be fine.

The owner, Amenda, came from Forever Magic Nails on 21st Avenue. When she opened up her own salon, I decided to give it a try since they were opened until 9PM and Forever Magic closes at 8PM. The first time I went here, the job was the same that I was used to and I was pleased. The second time, I came near closing time and the job was rushed. She used force to twist and clip my nails and hurried through everything without caring about what she was doing. If Forever Magic is closed and I desperately need a manicure or pedicure next time, I would rather go somewhere and pay more for a better job.

I got a fantastic pedicure here — to the point where I won’t go anywhere else. It’s only $ 12! The 2 ladies who run the place are very friendly and even though they try to upsell every service($ 1 extra for quick dry… and they ask you if you want a foot massage with your pedicure) the results are beautiful and long-lasting.
