Asaf Ferber MD

I have to agree with the other reviewer who referred to Dr. Ferber as «a true angel». I have delivered two children with Dr. Ferber, and to quote my husband, «they just don’t make ‘em like him anymore.» He is an incredibly kind, gentle, caring, and knowledgable doctor who goes above and beyond time and time again. When I went to him for an issue that did not involve my pregnancies, he came in on his lunch hour to see me and made several calls to ensure I was seen in another facility quickly, and with preferential treatment. When he was not on call during my second child’s delivery, he promised to come in during his weekend off to deliver my baby. I could not recommend Dr. Ferber more highly… he really is the BEST OF THE BEST.

I recently referred a close girlfriend pregnant with twins to Dr. Ferber and I have to say that was the best decision she made for what turned out to be a complicated pregnancy. I have yet to see a physician who cares so much about his patients (and I work with physicians so I do not make this comment lightly). It felt throughout the pregnancy as if Dr. Ferber was caring for a family member as he was involved in every single step of the pregnancy. 7 months into the pregnancy my friend was hospitalized and was on bed rest for a month. Dr. Ferber literally was in the hospital every single day (even weekends) just to assure her that the babies would be healthy and made sure she was monitored ²⁴⁄₇. The Lenox Hill staff has such a deep respect for Dr. Ferber that I am sure that must of helped on how attentive everyone was. My friend has no family in NYC so I cannot imagine how her pregnancy would have been had she not had this deeply compassionate and caring physician by her side. I am happy to say that my friend gave birth to two beautiful and healthy babies. Even after they were delivered, Dr. Ferber drove over an hour into the city on the weekend to make sure they were getting the best care in the NICU – in the hospital. I told Dr. Ferber he is a true angel and I am on a quest to tell everyone I know about this physician. Funny, but as I have met more patients that have used Dr. Ferber in their pregnancy… I keep hearing stories much like my own. He is definitely a rare find.
