Ordered delivery and received cold food that was overpriced. I read the previous reviews that mentioned the food was poor quality but I chose to ignore it. My fault now I am left hungry and broke. Stay Away!!!

I ordered a lasagna for delivery and i received the smallest piece of lasagna for $ 25. I am the general manager for a hotel in the area and i will no longer send my guests to this overpriced establishment. Lasagna was mediocre at best.

Our group of four met here for lunch, unfortunately. As soon as the bread came out I knew this would be quite disappointing. The server suggested a $ 61.00 bottle of wine which I deemed undrinkable. The pre-fix lunch included a Ceasar salad where the dressing tasted like mayonnaise. Nowhere did it say what came with my chicken parmesan but when it came out with roasted potatoes, I requested pasta instead. I was told there were NO substitutions. My mistake for thinking for a $ 125.00 lunch for 2 people I could have it my way. After all, Burger King lets you have it your way. I wish I could find something good to say about this place but I can’t think of anything.

We stumbled upon the restaurant while wandering around looking for a place to grab a bite and get a drink. Our group of 4 sat at the bar and the bartender was so friendly and helpful when giving recommendations. We ordered the Sformatino di Pere — Warm pear and gorgonzola soufflé served over a parmesan cheese fondue — and it was unique and delicious. We also ordered the Melanzane alla Parmigiana — Eggplant with mozzarella and parmesan cheese served with fresh tomato sauce and cheese fondue, which was very good. I wish I had taken photos of the food — but instead I’ve posted a photo of two of us enjoying our wine. I would come back for dinner on my next visit to the city.

After walking out of a very well-known Cuban restaurant around the corner, we stumbled upon Azalea. It was 6:35 on Saturday night, we clearly had no reservation, the place was packed, and we had theater tickets at 8pm. But despite all that, we were warmly welcomed. Not only did the lovely hostess find us two seats at the bar, but both she and the bartender, Vicky, did everything they could to accommodate us and get us on our way to the show. The food was really delicious as well — my husband’s pappardelle was clearly homemade and the ragu was so flavorful. I also loved my chicken dish. After constantly checking on us and doing everything she could to make us comfortable, Vicky treated us to a taste of Moscato on the house and sent us on our way to the show. This place gets it and they definitely gained a future customer the next time we are in the area.

Although I planned ahead and made a lunch reservation for 11⁄2 at noon for 9 people a week before, it took 1 hour 22 minutes for our food to be served. Only after I mentioned the slow service did the waitress apologies and mentioned they got busy and only had 2 people on staff in cook and 2 serving. Again, I made reservations ahead so they should have staffed up. Food was ok. My coworker had to send her Gnocchi back to the kitchen because she found metal fibers in her dish. They did turn around quickly to get her a new hot dish out. I had the salmon. It was good, but the bed of grilled veggies it was laid on was terrible. They were really soggy and mushy and brown. Presentation lacked on most of the dishes. I do not recommend.

We dined at the Azalea before our play. The service was quick and our food delicious. I’m still dreaming about the Veal Stuffed Ravioli in a white truffle cream sauce. Great place for the atmosphere and food.

Great location, atmosphere, service and food! We loved it. Day trip to NYC for lunch, a play and dinner. Unilocal steered me right for both meals. Pappardelle and fish entrees were great.

Ok I rarely, if ever, give out 5 stars as everything has to be absolutely perfect. Well Azalea definitely earned it. From the hostess to the bus boy and everyone in between the staff was super friendly and very efficient. The waitress recommended a nice bottle of Italian wine which we all enjoyed. From the appetizers to the dessert the food was excellent and served at just the right pace. This place is a must for anyone looking for a friendly face and good food in the Broadway district.

REALTIMELUNCHREVIEW! Ordered up Pollo Azalea(Chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto, fontina cheese and black truffles in a demi glaze sauce). Ordered at 1:10pm. ETA in approx. an hour. Not too far from my office. Arrived within the ETA. Very nice delivery guy. However, bad packaging, as sauce had dripped into the bag, and the aluminum container pierced the bag. Food was hot at some point, as the cheese had melted out of the chicken chicken and into the container. However, it was room temp by the time I got it… and I’m only a few blocks from them. Generous portion of very good bread, though… Flavor of the chicken was good, as was the browning. Mostly tender and juicy, with some outer parts being a bit chewy(and this would be sections without prosciutto). Just enough truffles to catch that flavor. More grated than sliced and layered… though did come across one slice. Potatoes had no seasoning on their own, and we a bit al dente for my liking. The sauce from the chicken was good and helped this factor. Broccoli was steamed well. Entire thing needed a dusting of salt. 3-stars, as I feel it would be unfair to rank lower without experiencing their service, ambiance, or more of the menu, since there is potential, and the pastas look quite good. I’d be willing to try dining in, if someone else were paying. Delivery again? Highly unlikely.

The food here was excellent. The bread is very good and the tomato and olive oil sauce was delicious. The waitresses and servers were very courteous in general, with a couple of exceptions. The ambience of the place is nice!

I was in New York for work and by myself. I had tickets to Wicked so wanted to go somewhere close for dinner. I sat at the bar, had a wicked martini, and loved the Pappardelle. Literally walked out of the front door and was at Wicked. This was a wonderful meal and excellent service!

We were looking for a place close to the hotel after a long day at Liberty and Ellis Islands. We made a reservation and walked over. They sat us immediately, and everything went as quickly and efficiently after that! Wait staff was friendly and food was delicious. I had the Veal Scallopini special. It was enough food for me tonight, but it may not have been had I been ravenous. My 15 year old daughter, who was ravenous, had the Ravioli di Ricotta. She enjoyed it, but said it wasn’t enough food. We’d definitely come back.

Celebrated mom’s birthday there and the food was wonderful! Loved the shrimp pasta! The staff surprised us with a free birthday cake and complimentary champagne on the house before they all gathered to sing for us. The service was truly impeccable.

Azalea is an amazing dinner spot! My husband and I visited Azalea as a recommendation from a friend, so we drove in for dinner from PA and made a reservation at 8:00 pm on a Saturday evening. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was outstanding. Between us, we tasted salads, fresh fettuccini and mushrooms, branzino, prawns, risotto, and tiramisu. Everything was out of this world. Thank you for a wonderful evening, we will be recommending Azalea to our best of friends!

What a pleasant place to pre-dine before a show. The bartender, Viktoria was so friendly in a professional way, it was easy to warm up to her, not to mention she made the best lychee martini I ever had. Too bad I can’t finish it because I am ALDH2– deficient, but that’s another story. Fabio, the maitre D, was accommodating and efficient making sure that everything runs like a well oiled machine so that we can make it to our show on time. The servers were well trained that all we had to do was enjoy our meal and conversation. And that we did. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for The Last Ship(which was about to sink despite my love for Sting), but yet again, that’s a topic for a different website.
