My sister was physically abused by one of the black bouncers here last night at a private party, after telling him not to dance with one of her friends who was already there with her boyfriend. He aggressively pushed her against a wall told her he can do whatever ge wants because he works there then he roughly pushed her through the crowd then down a small set of stairs where she fell and then onto the sidewalk where she fell again like she was some sort of convict. This was unprovoked and completely unacceptable. The girl working the coat check rushed out to check on her thank god. I wouldn’t promote this place to my greatest enemy until this animal is removed from his job there permanently.

This place seems hard to find… I came here for a pasta poetry duel event and if there wasn’t people standing by this side door i wouldnt know where to go, but maybe thats the idea?
The place itself is very narrow with a gorgeous section in the front that looks like an enchanted garden. Due to the narrowness i felt it was tough moving around which can be annoying when you are trying to get to the bar.

After having dinner at Toro, we were taken through a back entrance to this bar.
As soon as I walked in, I loved how it looked. That tree in the back was everything!
The drink selection is extension, the music was good, but I do take a star away from fact that the crowd is not all that compared to the rest 14^th Street.
Anyway, I’d def come here again, but hopefully on a night with a more significant crowd.

Came here last night for a party a friend was hosting. Let me just say the décor is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. Definitely a hidden spot. Drinks averagely priced for chelsea ($ 15 cocktails, $ 8 beers…), buying a bottle might be a better option. The bottle service we had was wodka, unsure if our host chose that or if that is default. The waitress was fantastic.
The music choice was a little strange for the environment, they were playing rock. I think ambient music or chill electronica would be much more fitting.
For some reason people thought it was okay to smoke in the bar, which was strange to me. The bouncer would come in periodically and tell them to stop. Waitress never said anything to them.
Last thing — had a hard time with the bouncer. I wouldn’t say he was a jerk, but he accused my 25 year old boyfriend for having a fake ID because the hologram was in the corner (washington state) and not in the middle? Very strange. He let us in, but apparently he gave another one of my friends the same problem who also has a very real ID. Perhaps he should study different states IDs more before making accusatory remarks.

Great hidden gem in the edge of the Meatpacking. Dancing and amazing drinks without the overcrowded-​ness and posing of most other clubs in the area. Great garden décor towards the back and laid back crowd made up of mostly
artist types and models. Recommended!

Extremely disappointed about this «neighborhood bar». We get seated at the table and halfway thru the service, the waiters and «owners» bombard us asking us to get up. Hello, we didn’t even finish our drinks and we’re spending $ 300 on bar tabs… All because they want to push us out. Beware of this trick! Highly disappointed since the music was actually pretty decent.

I thought it appropriate to celebrate my 30^th birthday doing what I did regularly nearly a decade before: hit up a newly opened mpd club. As it were, three ladies are let in far more easily than any group of men. One bouncer was a dick and kept insisting we had to be there for an event but the other is much more reasonable, so lean on him for access. Once in, the space is angular, narrowing in around the bar. As much as the entry was guarded, the bartenders could not be friendlier. We perched ourselves at one end and remained there for two hours w/​o any trouble despite increasing crowds.
We headed over to the tables at the far end for a touch of dancing but it was more of a slightly swaying crowd, despite good music. The space is sparsely decorated, highly industrial, and has the amazing smell of newness, which in mpd time, will be gone before spring.
Drinks are prohibitively expensive, no surprise… 15 for an excellent whiskey ginger and 13 for champagne. The crowd is varied w a mix of bankers, male and female models, and young fashion folk. Come by before its old hat!
