Bensonhurst Park

Always crowded.
There is a playground, basketball and handball courts, baseball field, and benches throughout the park.
I like bike riding at night but it is quite inconvenient. People like to take their whole family, kids and dogs, out for late night walks and sometimes there are just so many people that you cannot ride your bike without feeling like you are going to run someone over.
There is free wifi in certain areas of the park!
This is a big park that offer a lot. I wish they would fix the ditches because they fill up with water, leaving huge puddles, whenever it rain.

This park was nice. I was there yesterday mid day for a little lunch date. But i felt discussed to be there. Bums and homeless people where all around. Sleeping and begging. I wanted to have a nice lunch in the park. And oh boy there’s no park anywhere around except this one. And the bums have occupied it more then visitors. Trash isn’t clean and maintained. It feels the city has lost it’s interest and the community doesn’t care about this park!

One of the reviewers said you see a few old folks practicing Tai Chi in this park. I guess we were a few of the old folks practicing Tai Chi in the park!
We actually stopped here for a Tai Chi break on the way to the Jersey shore as Tai Chi is helpful with reducing pain and I have a problem with pain sitting for long periods.

There is a sign maybe it was not there when Tina went. One good thing about this park it seemed to be mostly New Yorkers no transplants with a lack of respect for New York the way you find in Red Hook, Williamsburg, and other areas where transplants are going.
This park did not bother me at all but it was not the fanciest or most up to date either. Nice for a break in the middle of the day!

This park is without borders for no fence thereby no green/​white leaf signage with park name tacked onto the fence.
A full day of outdoor activities comprising from sea to land which includes kayaking and biking bring my travels to Bensonhurst Park in Brooklyn with a friend. A city operated park composing 17.50 acres which lack basic amenities as two water fountain exists where children hogged them to create mindless water balloons. The water pressure at the water fountains are extremely weak to dispel any decent sprout to lean over with your mouth.
Facilities are available where the sink faucets barely function, nevertheless I was able to intake water with my hands to form a cup. I was dying for a cool down from my near death experience of re-​learning how to ride a bicycle after numerous fall crashes and sustained bruises. I’ve never biked with gears on a chain in this capacity of my cycling realm. Grounds are not smooth for biking especially for the beginner learner as myself, but I was able to sustain airborne for four measly blocks! Chess tables and benches are available along with the common problem of vagrants inhabiting to claim refuge as their abode. The air residue salt water coming from Brooklyn’s Bath Beach.

My husband and I only recently started going to this park for working out in the morning.
We have this park at a walking distance from our apartment. This is not the best of the best but as good as it gets in our neighborhood.
I mean we have been to the Dyker Beach Park in the extended neighborhood and found that it is much cleaner and well kept than this one.
Usually there are only a few old folks practicing Tai Chi and walking in this park. At times you see a few young people jogging or biking too. It has a basketball court and a tennis court open to public. There is a dog park and children park too within the park.
One thing that I would like to see shall be to add the public convenience and a bit cleanliness inside the park.
We are going there everyday now and would really love to see this place become better with the passage of time.
