Better Adventures

In January, I took the Better Adventures — Historic Downtown to Chinatown Tour. The tour goes from bottom of Manhattan, near Battery Park, to Chinatown.
First off, while I enjoyed this tour, our initial experience dealing with the tour company was not the best — a miscommunication about our scheduled tour date. Geovannit was also late to our tour — a fact that had seemed to have happened the previous weekend tour as well.
But regardless, he made up for it with his knowledge and personality! You can tell how much he enjoys his job and loves the city. Plus he got us amazing food at the end of the tour from nearby Chinatown restaurants (as this was a foodie tour). There’s a lot of history on this tour and we visited several downtown landmarks (churches etc) before heading to Chinatown.
I enjoyed this tour very much though — I would recommend this tour or take one of their other ones as well.

I was visiting from out of town with my husband and two friends. We are big foodie people, way practically planned our whole trip around where to eat. When I saw the Living Social I bought The Chinatown, the Midtown, and the Night on the Town tours. Had I known that they were all going to be so wonderful than I would have also purchased the Central Park Tour. We ate at some of the the most obscure amazing places, saw some of the most beautiful buildings, and heard some the most interesting history. We all had the time of our lives. Geovanni is remarkable, he is more than happy to suggest other amazing places to visit and locations to eat at. We all highly recommend Better Adventures Tours.

I have lived in NY for over 10 years, and my girlfriend has lived here for years as well. We have been to Central Park many times but we always thought it was funny that we didn’t find it to be that much of an attraction. I saw an ad for Better Adventures walking tours and planned to sign up for the China Town to Financial District tour. However, during the week we wanted to go (in August) the only tour that fit our schedule was the Central Park tour. Although we would still like to go on the downtown tour, we are so glad we signed up to see Central Park. Our tour guide, Geovanni, is an architect who so very obviously has a passion for the history and highlights of NYC. We saw parts of the park that most New Yorkers never even see, and we learned so many interesting things. The tour itself was a blast, plus it gave my girlfriend and me a new appreciation for Central Park that will drive us to come back there regularly now. Indeed, my girlfriend was eager to take her mother and sister (who were visiting for the first time) there after previously considering it nothing more than a nice park and tourist trap. Touring with Geovanni made it particularly great because he so obviously loves his work. We expected to enjoy the tour, but it surpassed our expectations. My girlfriend and I would both highly recommend the tour to others (I’ve told my friends) and we plan to take other tours with Better Adventures (in particular, other tours guided by Geovanni).

I have always wanted to tour Central Park but I could not find a tour company that only did Central Park and one day I got a Living Social notice for a tour of NYC Central Park. So why not try it. I have been to NY Central Park 100 times but I have not been to all parts. The tour that I took was a tour of Central Park Sroll with food. The tour guide we had was Geovanni and he was awesome. He was born in NYC and he knew alot of Central Park. The tour was great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about Central Park.
