Do not come here. I came and this place is a scam. Highly sketchy walking up, and the whole thing made me feel horrible. I lost 80 dollars (paid up front) plus a 15 dollar tip (and they made me feel bad about giving a 20 and asking for 5 dollars back). You’ve been warned.

This place is not worth paying a penny. I went with my boyfriend for his birthday but ended up in another spa because this place didn’t feel like a spa to us. The scrub bath was ok but when they started making the massage the two massagers wouldn’t stop talking to each other. Hello I thought a massage was supposed to mean peaceful and quiet not Chinese words in my ears. Then after 40 min they said ok finish. Oh and the worse part is that I have psoriasis. She wouldn’t touch it. So only got a back massage. Worst place ever.

Decided to take my husband here for his Father’s Day gift and I must say June your hands are magic lol my husband enjoy this experience so much and is now hooked to this place!

I came for a couple’s massage on Sunday night.
When you come in, you’re sent into the massage room to change. I put on a towel, but there are robes folded up on the bed, and they want you to use the robes. (One was pink, one was blue. Hah.)
Then you move to the sauna. It’s pretty small and not very hot. Or warm. There are baskets with rose petals and some green stuff, but I think they are long past their «smell by» date. We asked to turn up the heat, but she said it would make the fire department come. Okay.
Then we were split up to go into rooms for the table bath. This was my first time… and it’s just that. A bath. On a table.
(Note: spoiler alert!) You’re naked, and you lay down on a massage table. There is running water and she takes a cup, scoops it up, and pours the water all over you. Then she puts on a pair of loofah gloves, pumps a bunch of body wash, and rubs you down. Then repeat on the water rinsing. I nervously giggled through the first half, and she asked if it were my first time. But then the water was warm, and I felt so… exfoliated, and I started to relax. When you turn over, don’t worry about being shy — you get a little towel for your lady bits. She asked if my boobs were natural (yes), and said, «very nice!» So of course now I love her.
After the bath, you dry off and then head back over to the massage room. Look up, and you’ll notice a horizontal pole — your masseuse will be walking on your back for a while. The massage is a mix of hot stone and deep tissue.
At the end, you get dressed and then they give you some lifesavers mints.

Wow! Couples massage with a table shower and body scrub! The ambience is relaxing. The staff pleasant, and punctual. Couldn’t be better, especially for the online offer of $ 135!

We bought a couples massage online for $ 135. Had no problem redeeming it and the staff were very nice. Loved the horizontal shower. It is amazing but you are basically completely naked lying there so be forewarned. Don’t skip it though even if you are a Never Naked. Have had a lot of massages before and really liked this one. They play music they think westerners like ie it sucks and you could hear the party going on downstairs but it made me feel like I was back in Asia. It has that distinctive feel. I did think it was a tad short though. I don’t think the massage was 60 minutes but it felt great.

So I wanted to do something nice for the boyfriend when he got back from vacation. I decided a couples massage would be fun so combed through Unilocal reviews to find a great couples massage place. There werent too many reviews for couples massages (c’mon people!) but Big Tree seemed to have some good ones so I made an appointment. I also purchased the couples massage on their website. Its $ 135 online versus $ 160 in the spa.
When we arrived, the place looked very zen, with plants and dark lighting for the décor. When I told the receptionist I paid online already, she was very confused, called someone on the phone and asked me to speak with the person on the line who also had numerous questions for me about purchasing it online. You would have thought that this had never happened, which makes no sense because they offer the packages on their website.
When it was sorted out we were escorted to a room and the massage began. It was a nice massage, relaxing and covering the whole body. I liked the hot stones they put on your back, that felt good. I did find it funny that the masseuse stood on my back and legs during part of the massage.
The masseuses kept asking us if we were alright and would talk to each other some times. The reception also came in the room during the massage and talked to the masseuses in Chinese (i think?), which is pretty unprofessional I think. The talking bothered me a little (I felt like Elaine in that episode of Seinfeld when she is getting her nails done at the Vietnamese place), but aside from that it was a good massage. Dont think I will come back though, I would have expected better at this price point.

Solid place. The other reviews describe it well, and the only thing I need to add is that if you go online to their website you can get the couples massage for $ 130 instead of $ 160 for two people. Boy, am I glad I did a quick search.
It’s a very «rough» massage, stronger than others that we were used to, but all in all definitely a positive experience and a professional place. You just gotta get over the ‘being naked’ thing.

Wow!!! What an experience! Finally took the fiancé to a couple’s massage after all of his whining about his arm and lower back hurting and man oh man did they work him! lol. I was cracking up cause he scared his masseuse a few times and all I’d hear is a loud grunt followed by «Too hard?» hahahahaha. My massage was perfect as I am still flexible but was still pleasantly surprised when a felt a few kinks worked out around my lower back that I had no idea needed «tuning».
It was almost 90 today so of course we skipped the sauna as all of NYC is a sauna and went straight to our table shower… Awkward does not begin to explain how you’ll feel when you are told to lie down on a wet, warm plastic covered bed completely naked, but the massage therapist who I’m pretty sure was also the owner made me feel right at ease; «you have ass, I have ass» she said to me and we both laughed. She told me to relax and to remember that when I was a a baby my mom bathed me too but I don’t remember so to just let go and relax. By the time the 4^th bucket of warm water was poured on me I felt as if I was laying at the beach in Bora Bora being washed over by the waves, extremely relaxing. The price for all of this is AMAZING! and you will not find another spa in the city that offers such a great pampering service for 80 bucks (160 for us both). We will definitely try to make it back here at least once a month. When we left the spa I vowed to not try and pick any fights with my fiancé for the rest of the day, We were feeling fresh and relaxed in the middle of bustling midtown in almost 90 degree weather. It just doesn’t get better than that.

I loved the table shower and the couple massage. The atmosphere is good and the deco is very comforting and relaxing. They have good services and awesome massages!

Eugene K. has a very good description of this place so i’ll skip that. I’ll just add that I thought the massage was great. It was my second couples massage, and I enjoyed this one more. They went much harder on this massage then at the first place I went to, and it was perfect. The masseuse was very friendly and professional.

I think I may be ranking it too high because well, I was a first time massage receiver. $ 160 for a couples massage, access to the private sauna, a private table shower (awkward but so awesome), and a little over an hrs worth of 4 types of massages: hot stone, shiatzu, sports and swedish. SUCH a great deal. Oh yea, this place is also BYOB. Pretty sweet.
Location wise, big plus: right behind Penn Station, so you can get here by any means necessary.
So basically, you walk up to the second floor and see this big camera. Before you reach the door, they buzz you in. Shady. You walk in and are instantly greeted by the receptionist/​owner. You take a look around and it’s simply an office building converted into a massage parlor. You get taken into the dual massage room, are given two robes with keys for your private locker, and are asked to strip nekked and cover yourself with the robe. Next, you go to the sauna, which is really funny because it looks like a closet that’s on fire (minus the flames of course). Soon, you are led to a large bathroom for your table shower. She tells you to take off the robe and lie face down. She proceeds to wash you with this salt water and scrubs you down. «Turn over» she says and hands you this small hand towel to cover your hoo hoo. You lie down and she washes the top. Quite the experience. You dry yourself off and when you exit the bath, you’re led back to the massage room.
I’ve done some research and this is probably the best deal I could find.

Got recommended to this place by a friend and co-​worker of mine. She told me that I could get a table shower and hour long massage for only $ 80 bucks so I was all for it. The front receptionist was a very nice woman who should me to a neat and clean room where I was able to lock my stuff away. They then took my to a sauna where I got to sweat it all out, followed by a relaxing table shower. It was a bit weird being in my birthday suit in front of a small asian woman but she was very professional and the table shower was extremely relaxing. The girl who gave my massage did a wonderful job. She did a swedish massage as well as a hot stone treatment and when she was done i had to wipe the drool of my face (that relaxing!) All in all I had a great experience and tipped the lady. Def. going back there and would def. recommend this place.

i was sooooo hoping for a «happy ending».
ok i arrived to the spa for the first time wednesday morning. i walked in quite annoyed and physically sore. (my day wasnt going all that great).
i was greated by a nice talkative receptionist. she instructed me to pay first and then lead me to my room where i stripped, put on a pair of slippers and a rope that were supplied for me, then i stored my things in a secured locker.
moments later a cute asian lady came in my room and motioned for me to follow her, (she only knew like 3 words of english). she lead me into a bathing room where i took off my robe and lay face down on a warm, wet table, (a very nice feeling). i was bathed and gently scrubbed; the exerience was very nice and relaxing. her hands were very soft and i have to admit that it was very soothing.
after she was done with my back side she asked me to turn over. she had a hand towel waiting to cover my special area.
when i was all done i dried off and went bacxk into the massage room and watied for my massage. a soft spoken asian guy walked in and was very polite. he asked if i wanted a strong, medium or soft massage. he also informed me that at any point if i needed him to change the pressure to just let him know. this therapist was very very thourogh and professional. i loved the way that he didnt talk throughout the massage. he was focused into his work. i feel that he paid a great amount of attention to detail. really.
when i was done he handed me a cup of water and three cute little mints.
like i said before, when i walked in i was not in the best of moods but i left feeling very very relaxed. the ONLY thing that would have made it perfect was a little «extra service»… but im a perv at times so i think a little «extra service» would make everything better.
oh the cost was 80 dallars plus tip. and i didnt get the feeling that the service was rushed.
