WARNING! This is no longer. BLT property. The outside space is CLOSED. The menu is very limited and more suited for dinner, with entrees up to $ 30 — for lunch. The service has gone downhill. They«ran out» of Chardonnay. There is nothing vegetarian on the menu. The«wild mushrooms» are standard cremini with no hint of truffle flavor. Burger, the only sandwich on the lunch menu, is ok, as are the fries. Broccoli rabe came out in a generous portion but cold. No reason to come here anymore.

Came here for breakfast during a business stay in the W above. Perhaps the worst service I have ever experienced. I think we had 2 dedicated to our table waitresses and maybe 4 other tables in the whole restaurant were in use. Yet somehow, the service was awful. Several of us asked for coffee, she said OK and then just went missing. After 15 minutes someone stood up, walked over to the bar where the staff was chatting and asked if we could just get a thermos pitcher of coffee for the table. This nudge, of course, meant that they had to come and get us our coffee. So sorry to put you out. We finally ordered and the food arrived in waves so you never really knew when they were done. They forgot my side of bacon, but we didn’t see a waitress again until everyone was done eating. She comes back and says«anything else for you today?» and I said«So I had a side of bacon that never arrived…» and ended up eating a plate of solo bacon while everyone else watched. It wasn’t even busy! And the food, wasn’t even good. This is clearly a restaurant of convenience and not one that would exist independent of the hotel.

Okay. *cracks knuckles*. So let’s start with the fact that its in a hotel and it was my first time here. So getting to the place was kind of cool because you ride this fancy elevator which brings you to this fancy kind of chandelier entrance. The seating area is nice nothing extravagantly different but nice nonetheless. So I find my group of friends and I sit and the waiter comes around and of course Bc I came to f sh** up, I said I’ll take the bottomless mimosas that never end like the lamb-chops play along song. So I’m conversing with my friends and two of them say they’ve been waiting for a while for their refills which to me is dooms day when you order bottomless right. So ironically, the manager or supervisor comes over and says«how is everything» and my friends are all«oh good, great, thanks«and I’m like«WELL actually. It’s okay but my friends say they’ve been waiting really long for their bottomless mimosa refills» and the guy looks all concerned. Well long story short. They definitely made up for it. He came back and had everyone of us double fisting mimosas and made sure we were not neglected — you gotta respect and love a place that does something like that. Now, the menu from what I remember had some decent items. I came for French toast Bc I had a craving and of course the goddess of all brunch-BAECON. But I saw something I never had before that was better … I looked down and there it was. A bacon bit covered donut sandwich that comes with cheese, eggs, bacon, and I think something else-can’t remember: blame the mimosa and patron shots I had. Now, I don’t like extra crap in my bacon so I just swapped it for the bacon donut with bacon and eggs. When it arrived. It was waiting for me on a plate with a golden dancing sparkle that could only be surmised as the collection of all great brunches. This damn thing was INCREDIBLE. I’m so glad I had it. It was so good that I don’t even really remember what anyone else had– I do remember everyone looking at me with fury green eyes angry they didn’t get it — idiots! Lmao Overall a good experience and I would surely return. Because a bacon breakfast donut that good deserves to have a home in my stomach once more. For this, I can only give this place 5 stars.

Excellent service and very tasty dinner. My daughter had the salmon, which looked perfectly done. I never even got a chance to slip my fork over for a sample before she devoured it completely. I had the grilled shrimp which was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Perhaps the best thing I remember was the foldover bread that introduced the dinner. I must say that was the best bread I have ever eaten. So delicate a tasty. Like an egg soufflé with crust. Definitely worth a return trip just to share with others.

The salmon burger is to die for! It is sooo tasty & fresh. It also comes with some of the best french fries. The mac and cheese, fried calamari, blt burger and pizzas are also highly recommended. Go upstairs for drinks and a good view!

I loved the location, awesome outdoor seating. I usually eat a light lunch and the salad I ordered was packed with veggies and very tasty. Drinks were awesome, not watered down at all. Best of all, Our waiter Paul was so welcoming and we never felt rushed at all! We wanted to check the place out a bit before picking a table and he had no problem with it and was happy to let us look around. He even was nice enough to let me charge my phone and kept an eye on it for me. He actually cared that we had a good experience and it showed. Great conversation and even better service. I recommend this place to Anyone staying in or near the financial district!

We were in town for the Freedon Tower stair climb and made a reservation for breakfast. The put us upstairs and we had a nice spot. The server, manager and waitress took very good care of us. We were a party of 20, so breakfast took a while to be delivered, but everything was served hot and fresh. My omelet was very tasty and prepared perfectly. We had a nice meal and the service was great. I would highly recommend.

I won the NCAA bracket at my job, and to reward me, myself & two of my buddies went here for a fancy delicious lunch(we work in FiDi, so it was decently close and came highly reviewed by one of my coworkers). For starters, we ordered the deviled eggs and the cheese & olive plate. Both were awesome. My coworkers both had burgers, which were cooked perfectly medium rare and came with a big cup of fries. They both enjoyed thoroughly. I ordered the skirt steak salad, which was delicious as well, with a blue cheese crumble and big leaves of lettuce.(I asked for medium rare and the steak, I’d say, came out more on the medium well side, but, yeah). I also had a mimosa, and the coworkers had beers. For desert, they both had a glass of Macallan 12 Year, while I went with the lemon ginger cheesecake. The food was definitely delicious. What I didn’t like was, the service for the prices. To be charging that much for ehhh service, what off-putting for me. I’ve eaten at $ places that clear away dirty dishes, provide plates, silverware, fill waters etc WAY faster than this place. We got our appetizers and didn’t get plates for these appetizers for several minutes. Additionally, they left empty plates with olive pits on the table through the whole meal, my empty mimosa glass, the empty beer glasses, etc. I am not super high-maintenance but if I’m paying a lot for a meal, I expect the service to match it. Leaving dirty dishes all over the table instead of clearing them away once the food is done, is a standard, in my opinion, as is providing small plates for a group of diners who are obviously splitting 2 appetizers. Although the food was good, and the meal was paid for because of my NCAA bracket win, I still wouldn’t go back. Can’t justify paying so much for mediocre service at a place that was literally not busy during lunch on a Monday. I see from other people’s reviews that they, too, didn’t have great service. You’d think this would be an easy fix…

Eat at BLT on regular basis, the restaurant serves the best variety type of foods. From pastas to Steaks. Never disappointed with the food or service! Waiters take the time to explain how the food is prepared & do not hold back with recommendations! If you are in the area highly recommend the buffalo shrimp! The absolute best ever!

Stopped here while staying at the W. Conveniently located right on 1st floor near valet. Very cozy lightly lit atmosphere. Waitor we had was french and he had a very thick accent. Making it a little tough to understand him at times. No reservation was needed for us. We had gone around 6−630pm on a saturday. Comfy booths for seating. Also a decent sized bar. Food menu was a bit limited. Wine menu was large. I ordered the BLT burger with fries. Medium sized burger, very juicy! Tasty as well, no salt or pepper needed for me. The bread was a crispy on the outside soft on the inside buttered sesame bun. It was very fresh. Fries were a good portion, a bit salty but hot and also fresh. Dinner was served with a pickle, ketchup for dipping, and a savory mayo sauce. When we sat down we were served 3 large popover breads. Very hot with butter. They reminded me of a bread similiar to a croissant on the inside. Melted cheese topped on the popover breads added a little kick. A delish start to the meal. Happy hour was from 5−7pm but our waitor did not introduce those drink options to us so we had to pay full price for our own drink of choice. I had a malibu rum and pineapple. It was good but not a lot of alcohol. Not worth $ 11 !!! Also, i gave 3 stars because i had asked for ranch dressing for my burger and fries and they didnt have any. What restaurant doesnt serve ranch? Also, the fact that our drinks were expensive and not too strong. The beer also had a funny taste, almost as if taps needed to be changed. If your looking for a convenient spot to eat without walking around hotel then try here. Just dont expect to be blown away.

Stopped in for the cheese ravioli. It was pretty darned good. The one thing that baffled me the phony sounding accent of European origin our waiter threw at us. It’s strange how the accent disappeared when he was in earshot and talking to his fellow purveyors of phony accents. Han shot first.

Came here for lunch with coworkers for restaurant week. Had the goat cheese parfait, the roasted duckling, and the profiteroles. All were delicious. Portions were very small but I was glad they were because I didn’t feel stuffed afterwards. My coworkers had the lamb ribs, the fish(dorade), and the panna cotta. Everyone was happy. The place is decorated very differently. They’re are chalk boards with cool drawing on these and bookshelves with books wine and vases on them. Gives it a very homey and trendy feel. I like it.

Staffs are lazy and very very slow to respond, never come to the table unless I waved hands… I even left my table and asked the female server on the bar corner to bring spoon and fork to the table, which was not set with dessert. Some staffs were chatting each other and did not focus on job. Also I noticed the sign of ‘Grade Panding’ on the storefront! …Would never come back.

Wait staff were professional and very courteous, Salmon Burger and Ahi Tuna salad were delightfully mouth-watering entrees, the green jalapeño mash had just the right amount of heat. We were on our honeymoon and they gave us a scrumptious ice-cream cake on the house!

BLT Bar and Grill is a bit tucked away in the W hotel in New York, but it’s a real treat. It’s quiet during the early hours so it makes it an ideal breakfast/brunch place if you’re in the area and looking for a nice sit down place. The eggs benedict are pretty standard, but the salmon bagel is well done. The best breakfast item, however, are the pancakes! They are incredibly filling but very crispy around the edges and the surfaces, with moist and soft insides, with cornmeal. Would definitely recommend the pancakes if you ever stop by, though they’re probably a good portion size for 1.5 adults!

Came here for a lunch meeting with our clients. I think it’s a great option for the area if you are looking for a menu offering a wide variety of choices from meat to seafood, salad to sandwiches. Atmosphere is pretty good, and they are spacious so you don’t feel like sardines. Lunch menu is reasonably priced. The salmon burger is certainly a great option, perfectly cooked and came with the right kind of buns. Soft and yet at the same time holding up quite well. The fries are also quite good. Our server was quite observant. The cleaned our plates and filled our water just at the right time. Also noticed that we are in a time limit and helped us get our check pretty quickly. Overall a great business lunch venue option which is key in this part of Manhattan.

Came at 10am for Father’s Day brunch. We all had a hankering for either a mimosa or a bloody mary. But sadly, no alcohol can be served before noon. Food was overpriced. I ordered corned beef hash, only to find 3 small pieces of corned beef under the eggs. 18 bucks! No one else had anything positive to say. Service was a bit on a slow, incompetent side I guess you can call this a tourist trap since it is right next to Ground Zero

We are staying at the W hotel residential apts. BLT is in the same building and they provide room service. BLT has really yummy food. Very well seasoned and fresh. I had the awesome French Toast that was cooked too perfection. Crunchy on the outside, wArm and succulent in the inside. Scramble eggs were light and fluffy, bacon tasted GOOD :-) I’m so happy right now :-). However they are extremely pricey. For both of us our breakfast was $ 94.00OUCH. But, it’s good. I’m going back for the Brussel Sprouts tonight. :-).

Ah, New York. The place where you can find any type of cuisine, some good, some bad. The W Hotel in lower Manhattan sits in the shadow of the new World Trade Center tower and is home of a great place to dine– the BLT Bar and Grill. BLT is a collection of restaurants started by celebrity Chef Laurent Tourondel who started with a place he called BLT for Bistro Laurent Tourondel. He has since opened a string of BLT restaurants such as BLT Fish and BLT Steak in New York City. However, he left the BLT group to pursue other projects, but some places have kept the BLT name. At the W Hotel, the BLT Bar and Grill sits on the first floor below the hotel and has two floors of dining along with a large full service bar. After a day of shopping and exploring lower Manhattan, Mom and I were hungry on a cold day and decided to duck into the Grill for lunch. Filled with both tourists and locals who work in New York’s Financial District, the place seems pretty popular. We both opted for a nice salad. My Mom ordered the Chopped Vegetable Salad with a Creamy Oregano-Mustard Dressing. It was a large salad filled with mixed greens, radishes, red and yellow tomatoes, avocado and large chunks of feta cheese. The dressing was perfect — adding just a little bit of spiciness to the already flavorful fresh veggies. She loved it. I opted for the Crispy Goat Cheese Salad. On the menu the description stated that the salad had«speck», «mache» and«frisee» and I had NO idea what any of that was but the crispy goat cheese sure sounded delicious. What I learned was that«Mache» and«Frisee» are both types of fancy lettuce– the mache being lamb lettuce and the frisee being a type of endive. «Speck» is a cured smoked Italian meat– the meat being pork. Oops. Maybe I should have asked if there was meat in this dish– but oh well– too late now. And actually, the speck was needed for that extra flavor that made the salad delicious. The crispy goat cheese was unbelievable too. Large fried chucks of cheese(I didn’t even know you could fry goat cheese) spotted the fancy lettuce and was topped with a light herb vinaigrette. What flavors this salad had with so few ingredients! I had also spotted roasted brussel sprouts on the menu with mint yogurt, beets and walnuts. I think roasted brussel sprouts may be one of my favorite foods in the world so of course I had to try this gourmet version. The mint yogurt was very subtle in taming the sourness of the brussel sprouts and the beets and walnuts add both sweetness and crunch. This side dish was so good that I have since gone home and tried to replicate it, with some success. We had a great lunch. The restaurant is casual, open and airy. Huge windows line the building for views overlooking the 9⁄11 Memorial. This is a place I would add to my must do list in New York City.
