BLUESTARCOFFEEPERKSYOUUPONBLUEMONDAYS! Morning coffee should be more than just getting what is convenient. Let’s face it, this cup sets the tone for the rest of the day. Flavia single serve cups? You’re better than that! You deserve a fresh brewed cup of joe. Every café serves their own coffee and coffee trucks run the block every 15 feet. So how do you know where you should go? Maybe it’s the warm smile on the owner’s face, but no matter how cold or rainy it is outside a full cup of coffee from these guys is the only way I start my day. The drink choices here are no different than any other mud truck: Coffee(Hot or Iced), Hot Tea, or Hot Chocolate. There are also a never-ending assortment of donuts and pastries to choose from. Want a turnover? Take your pick: apple, cherry, or maybe something new. Donuts? You’d think they had a conveyor belt from Dunkin’ Donuts to get the variety that is packed into this cart. Whether a bagel or buttered roll, there’s more stuffed crammed into this cart than you’ll find clowns crunched into a mini-car. One of the best things I like about this two-man team is how they work together to get coffee out and cash collection. No matter how long that line is stretching they are ratcheting down the line by not only handling the incoming orders, but by eying the crowd and by knowing their customers chances are they will have your coffee ready by the time you step up to the front. On more than one occasion I have been walking up front the train and as soon as I hit the stand they had my coffee in hand. Now that Spring is in the air again, I’m going to have to throw these guys a curve and start ordering up some iced coffees. But chances are that these guys will know smell the winds of change and will hit me with a choice to see which way I feel for that day. These guys don’t take credit cards, but if you’re a regular they might spot you some credit. So stop drinking that single serve swill and start buying local. You’ll be hooked on their coffee from the first sip to the last drip.
