Kerith Kilhenny is a licensed Acupuncturist in New York. Kerith earned a MS in Acupuncture from the Tri-​State College of Acupuncture, where she was taught several styles of Acupuncture; Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) with Myofasical Trigger Point Release and Kiiko Matsumoto Style (KM), 5 Element, along with Tui Na Massage. She uses a combination of these styles to tailor each treatment to the specific needs of each patient and the ability to change the course of treatment as needed.

Kerith is also a certified Yoga Teacher (OM Yoga) and Reiki Practitioner. She finds it essential to bring these and other modalities she has learned into her acupuncture sessions in order to create personalized treatments. She finds it important to focus on nutrition, lifestyle and movement/​exercise in order to inform and support the patient through the treatment, until the next one. She understands that each person has their own story and very different needs.

When it comes to acupuncturists, Kerith is as good as it gets! She’s got a great bedside manner, she’s very professional, and she’s got a fun sense of humor. She does listen to my body, and she also respects what I tell her about my own needs.
Most importantly, Kerith’s technique works! She is knowledgeable and skilled in a wide range of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. In particular, she is a pro at trigger point therapy (which, as other reviewers said, can be painful at first with any practitioner). If you have a connective tissue or muscular injury, other muscles often tighten up to compensate. This can cause pain much worse than the original injury alone. In my experience, Kerith can significantly relieve both the primary injury and the secondary pain. I have enlisted her help for a couple of different issues, and she knows human anatomy like the back of her own hand!
Most of all, Kerith’s ability to help me and others heal from pain and injury can be transformative. I would recommend her to anyone.

I Used Kerith for a shoulder issue — I couldn’t lift at the gym and it really affected my range of motion. I went in and got trigger point therapy. Oh so painful but in a good way. I immediately began to see results by the end of my 2nd session after 7 sessions it was like i had a new shoulder. I stayed because she said i could also use acupuncture for quieting smoking. And it worked. I could not believe it. I also have a huge scare on my stomach and she is helping me with appearance and its gone way down.
Her bed side manner is amazing — she has really helped me with my digestive system as well and gives me great tips like Bone Broth. She has given me so much great advice. I never really realized how many things Acupuncture can treat.
She is a total game changer and I have recommended her to 2 of my closest friends.

I’m a total newbie to acupuncture, so I was a bit nervous, but Kerith put me at ease. I wasn’t sure what to focus on, but I know that I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders, so we started there and after our discussion and looking over my paperwork, Kerith also suggested we do a little work on my headaches and my kidneys. It didn’t hurt at all. I felt a teeny pin prick and then nothing. I felt little muscle twinges in my shoulders (which felt like a mini massage actually) and then just calm. When I left I was so mentally relaxed that when I came home I went straight to the couch which is not like this type A personality!
The next morning my shoulders definitely felt looser although a little sore — normal since they had gotten a workout, basically. I had a bit of a headache, but that was my own fault. Be sure to drink lots of water before and afterwards — just like you would with a massage. Throughout the day I was somewhat involuntarily standing taller! It was amazing. I wondered why sinks and my keyboard were all of a sudden «so low». My muscles felt looser and I was more aware of when to loosen up. My entire day had a new outlook. All day and into the next I was more positive and energized than I had been in weeks.
I’ll definitely go back.

Kerith is a wonderful practitioner. I went in for a treatment because I was feeling sluggish and congested after a stressful week of little sleep, greasy food and a hectic schedule. Kerith is attentive and thorough. I felt like she really listened. My treatment was very relaxing, and I slept better that night than I had all week. Look forward to going back!

I went to try acupuncture with Kerith. I was having serious problems with my hamstrings and upper back. After our first session I really began to trust her. I was feeling an immediate change in my legs when I woke up in the mornings. The next time I went we worked on releasing muscles. I was scared at first– But after a few moments I was feeling more freedom in my body than I have felt in a great while. This is was awesome.
