I love Bond No 9. They have cute star shaped bottles, frags named after NYC ‘hoods and attractions, and you don’t really smell them on many people so its not too mainstream. I decided to convert the hubs and get his holiday gift here. Charlene was helpful in selecting the perfect scent and threw in some samples too.

Love the men’s colognes but didn’t care for the service at this location. Maybe they don’t expect guys to be their customer base? I’ve been to the UES store twice and the only reason I ever wound up buying Bond fragrances was because of the service at the 9 Bond St location. All of my visits have been with my girlfriend so I suspect they thought I was just the annoyed boyfriend tagging along. The first time I entered a Bond shop I was completely unaware that they sold men’s products. The second time I visited the UES shop, I had to make it clear that not only was my girlfriend looking for something but I was too. The saleswoman mentioned a special but didn’t explain it very well so my girlfriend and I kind of blew the buy two items get a bottle free thing. I wouldn’t be so down on the UES service if I hadn’t been to the 9 Bond St location which was amazing and in a small way, changed my life. What I love about Bond fragrances is that they are unique, complex and high quality. Two sprays an arm’s length away will last all day. They definitely have more women’s then men’s fragrances and I know my girlfriend likes to blend them and I will say she smells fabulous. While I first balked at paying $ 240 for a bottle of smelly water, I very quickly changed my tune and now call it a bargain(ok, sure, it’s probably a 2000% mark up from cost but that’s the beauty biz). A 3.3oz bottle will last a couple years of daily use(and is good for 4 if you don’t use it everyday). Bargain.

The salesgirl is lovely, helpful and unobstrusive. I was really hoping to love Bleecker St., but unfortunately it smelled completely different than what I remembered. Sadface. She answered all my questions and stood by ready to help as I sniffed all the *many* perfumes they had.
