My office and I work near this place and we frequent it on many occasions because of the convenience. We have not had any bad experiences with the food but now that I read all of these reviews, we might 2^nd guess going back. I am writing this review based on the 2 rude cashiers which I see many people have already complained about on here. I was overcharged 2x by them and when I bring it to their attention, they made it seem like it was no big deal. They acted like the amount was so small — how dare I correct them. The customer service is off, off, off!!! They are very rude. They never greet you. They never say, «hello», «may I help you», «thank you» except for next. They act as if they are doing us a favor instead of being happy that we are patronizing their business and essentially paying their salaries. I see many people have complained about them so maybe the establishment does not care to have nice and thorough people representing them. For that reason, I will give this 1 star.

Ordered a bao chao for dinner from here on seamless because i once had it for lunch at the place… the food came 20 minutes late, the chicken was overcooked (see picture below) and they even got my order wrong (I ordered it with chili paste and got some other sauce). Don’t order from here. The owners don’t care about their customers either, as I’ve tried calling the restaurant on numerous occasions and the line just keeps ringing without even going to voicemail.

Came in for some pancakes and eggs this beautiful morning. Part of the menu goes something like this: pancakes/​waffles with any two eggs:$ 4.99, then next line blueberry pancake $ 4.99. So i order my two eggs w blueberry pancake, guy writes $ 7.99. I was confused. I asked the cook he deferred to manager. Manager storms out screaming at me saying its $ 1 more because its after 11 and $ 1 more for addition of two eggs. Long story short, i try to tell him the menu makes no sense, everything is listed as $ 4.99 its very confusing. He again, screams «2 thousand customer walk in here everyday and no one questions but u».he goes on and on screaming about how busy he is and he doesn’t have time for this. He screams to the cashier to «give her $ 1 discount». He rushes to the back then came back to me screaming «I remember you! you ordered take out on snowday!» Again, confused, i told him i didn’t even know the deli delivers. The store itself is convenient most of the staff are genuinely nice. Food is not great, cleanliness of cooking surfaces are questionable. The owner of this facility needs to check the manager, i’m very nervous for you that he is managing your store. He is unprofessional, rude and terrible at customer service. He is too busy to do his job. To verbally abuse a customer thinking they were a different customer is absurd. Moral of the story: check your receipt agin and again to make sure they didn’t tag additional fees. according to the manager, they do this ALL the time and not one of their TWO THOUSAND daily customers question it. Its not even about the money, its the principle and poor attitude. Don’t treat your customers like they are fools.

They do not allow me to eat there with my friends because I bought my lunch from other place, even though my friends bought their lunch there. The reason I did buy my lunch there is because their food has too much sugar, and expensive for normal test food.

Solid place with lots of great choices. Salads are great.

Our office just moved nearby and I went there this AM to get some coffee, which I take with milk. It was the most vile undrinkable beverage I have ever tasted. It seems as if both the coffee and milk were both bad. I stupidly went back to get a sandwich for lunch and of my three simple requests, two were ignored. Never again.

Huge selection, nice people, clean store with a polished feel. They really know what they’re doing! Love this place.

This place is consistently over an hour late with delivery (within less than five minute distance), so if you’re hungry or impatient… try elsewhere.

We arrived in our hotel (Waldorf) after midnight and they had no food available.
This place was around the corner, and delivered to your room (well actually, to the elevator).
It wasn’t the best in town… but after midnight, late flights, exhausted with and early day the next day… Great choice! Pretty Happy!

Worst place ever. Only 3 – 4 blocks away from my place, and wouldn’t deliver to me unless I gave them $ 5 tip with my $ 13 food, are you kidding me?

I’m staying at the Lexington hotel down the street. At midnight I looked at my room service menu and found 24.00 hamburgers ect. I decided to give this place a try! 15.00 for a sandwich, chips, and a quart of water. Omg delicious and affordable and they delivered!

Walked in, and walked out around dinner time on a Saturday. Soup bowls had soup crusted on the edges of the crock pots. That was enough to take a pass.

Great selection in food including grab and go items. This spot is very fast so if you’re a Mr. and/​or Mrs. Pokey, probably not the place for you to grab food at.
If you’re a Y employee and show your badge you get a 10% discount which is equivalent to not paying taxes.
Staff at the juice bar are awesome and the cash register staff are speedy, yet polite.
Totally recommend going here.

We were just looking for a fast breakfast so expectations weren’t high. However, we were ignored at the counter for a while. The egg /​bagel sandwich had what looked like 4 – 6 eggs on it which might not be a problem for some but was overkill for me. The bagel was good (not sure where they get them) but there are certainly better bagel egg sandwich places. The upstairs seating area was extremely hot (and the only place to sit). We had buyers remorse when we walked out and saw that there was a much better option right next door.

Not to mention horribly rude cashiers at checkout. I was shoved out of the way before I could even grab my food off the counter.

They have all sorts of delicious food, and the staff are always friendly. It’s my go-​to place for a quick bite.

I ve been come to this place since they opend up i love their hot and cold buffet selection, n fresh squeezed juice!!!
And i tried their catering from my office n it was awsome

Always fresh, and the service is outstanding.
I’ve never had any issues with the food or the employees at this location. I highly recommend this place to anyone around the area!

This location of Bread & Butter is actually one of the better ones. In particular, their Japanese and Korean options such as bibambap, fresh raw fish salad or over rice, sushi, ramen, udon, and etc. Very big portions, I must compliment on. Salad bar have really fresh ingredients but it’s limited toppings (the location at 44^th Street, between Madison Avenue and 5^th Avenue offers unlimited toppings, if you’re interested).
It seems to be very tight in space here but it is a great lunch spot for the immediate area. I liked that it is not as crowded as compared to the other locations. Overall, a very respectable deli buffet.

Got the bibimbap here one night on the way home.

Cons:
The seaweed wasn’t very fresh in my bibimbap, which put me off the rest of it pretty quickly
