There are only good things that I can say about Brides by SB. Sarah and Brenda were extremely easy to work with and are experienced professionals of their field. They were prompt to respond to my emails and very flexible. One look at my dress and the venue and they knew exactly what needed to be done. They really understood the style that I was going for and very responsive to my suggestions. I was going for a natural but elegant and sophisticated look. Sarah and Brenda captured this look perfectly and I could not have been happier and more relaxed on my wedding day. They recommended a light touch up for my husband to make sure the pictures would turn out nice. He was nervous about this first, but it turned out super natural and was great for the photography. I would book them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to any bride looking for a stress free and highly professional hair and make-​up experience on her wedding day!

Sarah and Brenda are super professional and really are as good as it gets! They arrived on time and know what they’re doing. During the trial, Sarah helped me figure out a simple updo hairstyle that would go with my wedding dress. On my wedding day, she worked her magic and my hair stayed in place all night even with several over-​the-​head dress changes and dancing all night long. I loved that Brenda cut up the lash strips to tailor to the shape of my eyes. I received compliments on my eyelashes and didn’t have to figure out how to do wingtip eyes myself since Brenda already did that for me. I felt like I received the ultimate beauty treatment on my wedding day and have never looked more beautiful. Sarah and Brenda are a triple threat! I am so glad I booked Sarah and Brenda! One week before my wedding, the stylist I had previously booked told me she didn’t really want to travel and that I had to go to her… on the morning of my wedding. No thanks. Luckily, SB were available. I was a little nervous about not having done a trial with them first, but it turned out great. I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I told Brenda to give me a natural look, but to do something about my oily t-​zone. Whatever she put on me really kept the shine at bay! I already had eyelash extensions in, so Brenda recommended that I put some falsies on my outer corners. Although I thought that was a bit too much to be natural looking, they looked great for the pics. Brenda also did my mom’s makeup and she ended up looking 10 years younger! Sarah also did a great job with my hair and my sister’s hair. She gave me a lot volume and waves, which I wanted. I basically left my style to Sarah’s judgment; she didn’t disappoint. These ladies finished with plenty of time for me to get organized. I highly recommend Sarah and Brenda!

Sarah and Brenda are AMAZING! Aside from their obvious skill and technique, Sarah and Brenda LISTEN to you. I looked into and worked with other wedding stylists, but they definitely don’t take your ideas and personal style into consideration. Sarah and Brenda kept each bridesmaid’s personal style and heightened it! The girls looked so beautiful, but still like themselves. It’s so important that you and your hair and make up team are on the same page. Sarah and Brenda were like my fairy godmothers on the day of my wedding! Not only that but they were very friendly and helpful during the trials. I was pretty indecisive in terms of what I wanted for my hair and makeup but Brenda and Sarah were patient with me and helped me reach a look that I ended up loving. They were very accommodating but at the same time honest with their professional opinions which helped me out a lot. The day of the wedding they arrived promptly and were able to do hair and makeup for me as well as 4 of my bridesmaids, my mom and mother-​in-​law. All the hair and makeup turned out amazing and lasted the whole day without ruining. They also touched me up before the ceremony and reception. Their attention to detail and making me comfortable was a definite plus! Sarah also did different hairstyles for the first dance as well as reception, which was so incredible. Overall I was extremely happy with their service and would use them again for future occasions.

Weddings are beyond stressful and I was so grateful to have Brenda and Sarah there making my bridesmaids and myself look absolutely amazing for my big day. Sarah was so patient with me from the start. I was extremely confused about my hair when my desired look just didn’t look good on me. Sarah had great suggestions and helped me achieve a new look that was stunning and classic. Makeup was flawless! I had a great experience with hew during the trail and absolutely loved the way my makeup lasted. I was weary about my bridal party, since everyone was so different and I want a cohesive look. Brenda listened to all the different styles of my bridesmaids and pleased the pickiest of bridesmaids. She is experienced with wedding photography and made recommendations that truly made a difference with enhancing everyone’s look. My pictures are amazing and I still get compliments from guests about how beautiful we all looked. They were both punctual and professional. They skillfully helped me create a time schedule that ensured we were all ready and beautiful on time! Brides by SB were great to work with! I knew right away from the trial they made a great team and was one less worry I had my big day.

Sarah and Brenda are the BEST hair & makeup duo in the NYC/​NJ area! I’ve seen some of their work before and I really wanted to use their services for my engagement and wedding photos. They did such an amazing job, not only on me but on my SIX bridesmaids as well! I really can’t say enough about how great my bridal party looked that day. they offer a full range of services and can accommodate to your every need — which is REALLY important on what could be such a stressful day. My girlfriend had a tattoo and Brenda was able to cover it up for her no problem. Sarah was able to give my bridesmaids the exact hairstyle they requested and was kind enough to touch up some of the do’s after the windy photoshoot! Their prices are really competitive for professionals who have worked in the industry for years. I know from my research that they have experience working on commercial shoots, high end salons and in nyc’s fashion weeks so I knew I wouldn’t get the typical Asian white-​face, glitter-​shimmer makeup that I’ve gotten from local salons when I was in other bridal parties. Their work speaks for itself but more importantly, I think their level of service and care sets them apart from other stylists/​artists I’ve worked with — they listened to all my requests, gave me their honest input, and made the biggest day of my life so relaxing. I definitely recommend their services!

I’ve had the most wonderful experience with Brenda & Sarah. From our first makeup and hair trials, to engagement photos and finally our big day. Not only were they extremely professional and accommodating, they were also honest to the fault. I originally had an idea of how I wanted my hair to look like for my wedding, and after the initial trial, Sarah convinced me to try a different up-​do that would flatter the shape of my face and accentuate the backless gown. Her profound judgment call really made a huge difference. I’m so glad that I took her advice.
Brenda and Sarah were definitely my favorite vendors out of all the groups I had worked with on my wedding day. Go ahead and book a trial with them, you won’t regret it!

The idea of hair and makeup makes me weary. Then thinking about makeup melting off my face towards the end of the night, my hair not looking like it did when it was first done and having the makeup and hair not «feel like me,» was not something I wanted to deal with on my wedding day. I actually contemplated not having it done at all until my friend introduced me to Brenda and Sarah.
They were very prompt in getting back to me with a trial date, pricing and were more than on time the day of the wedding to do hair and makeup for my mom, my aunt, maid of honor and myself. We are all minimalists but Sarah and Brenda made us all feel great comfortable in the hair and makeup they did for us: we felt like ourselves but so beautiful. They did the hair and makeup to what fit us most (my family and I are Korean, my maid of honor is Jamaican). Not only that, to my very surprise, at the end of the night when I finally had a chance to get to the bathroom, I found that my makeup and hair WAS STILL INTACT. (All ours were!) I walked into the bathroom expecting to wipe some eyeliner running under my eyes (I was basically bawling the entire time), and see some caking on my face but I didn’t have to touch anything! And I realized my hair didn’t feel like it was falling out place, or I needed to readjust anything! Their work is impeccable and they take the time to listen to what you really want.
I called them up again for hair and makeup a couple of years later for my son’s 1^st birthday party!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SARAH & BRENDA!!! they were hired to do my hair & make up for my engagement shoot & wedding and I LOVED THEM! They were professional & accommodating with arranging trials and scheduling on the day of the wedding/​engagement shoots. Both Brenda & Sarah were very good with understanding and capturing the style that I wanted. What I appreciated during the trials were how they were honest with what worked and didn’t work while still honoring what I wanted as a client too. Brenda’s make up styling was great but one thing I want to point out is how GREAT she is with putting on the fake eyelashes! (makes them look full and NATURAL!). For Sarah, I loved how my hair looked without looking like it was plastered in place with hairspray –thus allowing the hair to still look like it had movement in it.
Previously as a bridesmaid, I’ve experienced runny eye make up, thousands of bobby pins and half my updo falling apart by the end of the night. So for my own wedding day, I expected to experience some of this, thinking it was just inevitable. But NOPE! Brenda’s make up stayed the whole time! And the hair Sarah did was still gorgeous even with the few bobby pins she used!
All my bridesmaids were impressed with them too! To the point where two of my girls hired them shortly after for their own weddings.
I’m going to definitely use them again for any future occasions!

I used Sarah and Brenda for my engagement photos and wedding day hair/​makeup for myself and my bridesmaids. My hair came out stunning and stayed in place all night long and I didn’t have a head full of 20+ bobby pins to dig around for at the end of the night. The hairstyle complimented my face shape and my wedding dress so well. The makeup was stunning! It was extremely glamorous but not ridiculously over the top or gaudy. And it didn’t smudge one bit, even through all the tears of joy! Sarah and Brenda are amazing and they truly work magic to make you look and feel absolutely beautiful on your very special day! i highly recommend them to everyone i know!
