Burger Heaven

It was a very nice place with an even nicer location. However the chili burger I ordered was completely drenched in chili, and I was unable to eat it without scraping some off and eating it with a fork, but their mac and cheese was amazing! I also had the curly fries, which were pretty normal. The patty on the burger was cooked greatly, and I am considering going back for a burger without the chili.

Never heard of this Burger Heaven before so I went through a lot before coming here. It comes with the huge patty, cheese and the fresh veggie. So yummy and the fries in side also a good combination with the burger. Seems like they blended their fries and burger very much.
Grilled cheese is also the best when serve hot. Will come again.

Food is good for diner food, but service leaves something to be desired. It has degraded in the past few years, too. I used to be able to call and get an order delivered super fast, but now it takes forever. This morning, for example, I called three times over the space of a half hour, and they put me on a 10 minute hold each time. Not bothering again.

Doesn’t even deserve the one star. It was the worst burger I’ve had, ever. I’m not a good snob.
You’re charged extra for everything — cucumbers, tomatoes, onions… And when they bring out the $ 15+ ‘burger’ it’s dry bread with completely dried out meat. You have to drain it in ketchup to swallow it…
The fries are plain out disgusting. Made in old fat which isn’t hot enough… You’ll be eating warm potato sticks which leave a slimy fat trail on your plate.
The service by our waiter was very friendly but it could not make up for the terrible food they serve there.

The best cheeseburgers anywhere!

There are better burgers out there. I ordered a medium burger and it was ultra well done and pretty dry. It’s not terrible just would never be my first choice. If you are gonna go for it and waste the calories on this type of food, make the trip to somewhere else.

Not a bad spot to grab lunch and roll. Just scrolled on Unilocal and found it.
I got the turkey burger and fries. They do breakfast food and had I known that I’d have gotten eggs and bacon because that’s what I really wanted.
I got it to go and it came quick. It also stayed warm until I got back to my room. Once I got settled in I enjoyed it. Put me to sleep for a quick nap before going to workout.
I’m coming back for breakfast!

Do you crave horrendous low end cow served on wonder bread? It was obnoxiously overpriced mystery meat. Im thankful that i did not get food poisoning

Sometimes when you’re tired and you need food, you make impulse decisions on where to eat. My girlfriend and I were walking across town from West to East and ran across Burger Heaven. I dig a good diner so I wanted to check it out and they had turkey burgers on the menu so double bonus.
Burger Heaven appears split between two floors and we wound up sitting on the main floor towards the back. The décor is sort of a modern-​ish take on a classic diner where the primary color is white though some age is beginning to show in the interior.
At first everything was cool. Our waiter was there immediately, he took our order and all was good as our food arrived. The turkey burger was well done (and accounts for about 1.5 stars of this review). The bun was very tasty and the fries were fresh and crisp. From a food standpoint I have zero complaints. It wasn’t extraordinary, but it was good and satisfying.
The problem is, once we got our food our waiter basically vanished. I don’t mean this metaphorically, I mean we literally had no idea where he had gone. I needed a drink refill and never got one until I was done eating and someone came to take our plates. The bill sure came fast as our waiter mysteriously reappeared. This is a huge pet peeve of mine and this is where place went from a three star review to a two star.
This isn’t a bad place to get a bite in a hurry and the prices are reasonable (for the area) but don’t expect the best service.

Did a take out order and the veggie burger was average at best. The «toasted» bun was a joke, the fries were cold and flavorless. Totally disappointed in my $ 18 veggie burger. I could have had a better one from the frozen section at whole foods.

It’s really good burger but they didn’t put anything I asked for like the ketchup and mustard. The onion were on the side instead of the burger and no extra bacon ??? I suggest don’t do delivery. Eat at the restaurant.

Bad food, bad service, DON’T try!
The waitress didn’t like us because we didn’t order a combo, her attitude was so bad, and we already gave her more than $ 3 tips for just $ 20 food, and she was like «just 2 dollars!?». Very bad experience, AVOID!!!
We went on Dec 30 around 2−3pm.

I didn’t hate it. Boys seemed to like their burgers. I had the veggie bean soup which was warm and full of beans. Service was okay as was the place.

How my friends laugh at my decades-​old obsession with Burger Heaven – the one on 62^nd Street, the one on 53^rd, or the one by Saks, on 49^th! To my mind, there is nothing like the «tuna, whiskey down» (tuna on rye toast) that I get there, and have been ordering since I high school. It has remained consistent over time, and across the three outposts. My old reliable…
On the rare occasions when I am tired of the tuna (usually after three days in a row), I go for the always-​good prime beef burger (ground daily on premises), or the excellent grilled cheese. When I really want to indulge, the traditionally cut fries are just as I like them: Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, not too thin and not too thick. Other popular offerings are the salads, a variety of sandwiches, and omelettes. I also love the perfect black iced tea here, served, as the other beverages, in tall, cool glasses.
Any time you need to pause in midtown, or run in for a quick lunch by yourself, these counters and the overhead televisions (usually set to CNBC) are waiting. The service, though maybe rushed at busy lunch hours, is always friendly and «on it».
Burger Heaven has been a New York institution for more that 50 years, since the days when these sorts of restaurants used to be called «coffee shops». Imagine a time when «coffee shops» meant something other than Starbucks!
(The 62^nd Street location has less counter space than the other two, but ample tables, as at all three outposts. This location, near Bloomingdale’s also serves a selection of alcohol, and even has a «happy hour»; the other two offer beer and wine.)

On our way to MOMA we stopped here for a last minute breakfast. I’m glad we did and I’m glad we did before we read these reviews! The place was clean and the staff friendly. I had the fried egg sandwich and my husband the pancakes. Both were great and cooked fast. No complaints at all. It was exactly what we wanted, fast, friendly, cost-​effective and clean. We got it all in this place. Maybe we will come next time for burgers.

Worst ever experience for me! I had burger and shake on on the bar today, July 13^th, 2015 b/​w 2:30 — 3:00. The waitress was attentive first, but she asked me tip even before I finished the meal half.
Total was about $ 24.80. She said I had to give her $ 5 for tip. I usually tip around 20% so I would have given her that much even if she didnt mention it. Anyway I gave her $ 30 and just left without finishing meal.
I think that waitress isn’t under the control of the manager. I’d never been forced to give tips by people. It it totally wrong. I’d like to share my experience here!

This is an extremely convenient, well located establishment close to the A-​train in the heart of midtown, the neighborhood of overpriced, overcrowded establishments that revel in mediocrity.
Burger heaven has both solid breakfast and lunch options. For breakfast, there is tremendous value in their omelette offerings. They are well constructed and super sized. If you are a musclehead looking for your protein fix after hitting the weights, then this is your place. Or if you are just an overweight american looking to supersize your day, then this establishment is a little heaven on your plate. Just be careful or your wide bottom may not fit on the normal sized stools at the counter.
The burgers are relatively big and are decidedly very average. However they hit the spot. Supersize me and get it with the fries. Nice touch that I added an extra pickle, cucumbers and a fresh jalepeno — all at no extra charge. And did I mention that they had A-​1 sauce for their burgers? Now that’s some tasty taste right there.
I want to give this place a 3.5 and potentially 4 stars for sure because its not crowded, is well located, and is a reliable option for business breakfasts that don’t break the bank. However its food is relatively average and as such I need to stay true. 3 stars for you burger heaven, but you have my patronage.

This is a diner burger joint. Imagine your late-​night diner burger and this is it. No better, no worse.
Maybe it is because I am spoiled by burgers from Shake Shack, Unami, and even all the pubs in Manhattan, but this place is definitely a tier below. I was expecting more because of the name, «burger heaven».
It isn’t awful, and they will cook the meat to your liking, but I think if I wanted to indulge in this much unhealthiness (mayo soaked cole slaw and soggy greasy fries), I would have just gone with a fast food joint.
I prefer In n’ Out, Burger King and even McDonalds to this place. Service was fast, prices were inflated and everyone was cordial, but I would not eat here again by choice.

I will not say it is heaven… But I’ve had worse patty melts in my life. This establishment offers a quick efficient way of getting food into your belly, in a relatively clean setting without the need to arrange creative financing in which to settle your check.

I used to go their location on 40^th Street quite often, until they closed down. I used to love their Burger Heaven Burger with their special sauce, and the service there was pretty good.
So I tried this location since the other one closed. Have to say, service wasn’t as good. The burger was still pretty good. It’s huge and juicy, and the special sauce compliments it perfectly.
