My favorite thing about Café Patoro, after four consecutive daily visits, thus far, is the incredibly warm and obliging staff, and the extremely inviting environment they create: a perfectly comfortable and charming scenario to enjoy some lovely pastries, to which I will frequently return.
In my opinion, the pão de queijo («pdq») are a little expensive, because even though they are delightful little creations, it’s really only one big bite (or two little bites) for $ 2, so it would be a lot more encouraging if they were priced at 3 for $ 5, which would also encourage sharing or buying a dozen of them for the office. And as tasty as these little treats are, my favorite items so far have been the Ham and Cheese puff-​pastry and their signature fresh Cornbread with Coconut.
