Care One Home Medical Equipment Inc

Last week I was traveling to New York for work, and I left a CPAP part at my previous travel destination. I was rather desperate, and the gentlemen at Care one Home Medical Equipment stayed open late and worked tirelessly to make sure that I got the part that I needed to sleep that night.
I would easily recommend them to customers in the New York City area; while it is unlikely that I will need their services in the future (never say never), I would go back to them in a heartbeat (preferably this time without two suitcases and a backpack). I’d like to thank them for making it happen for me.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting one of care one’s respiratory therapist and it was the most professional and personal experience I’ve had with an RT yet! I had no idea what to expect since this was my first time with Care One but it will definitely not be the last. Thanks for the special attention and expertise :)

I have used Care One for several years, initially referred to them by my ENT. They’re great to work with, patient, professional, prompt and always seem to have the latest technology. The most stand out experience is that no matter who answers the phone, they can all help you immediately or get you to someone who can quickly.

The folks at Care One are always very helpful and are always patient with my questions and concerns and many times they have gone out of their way to happily accommodate my special needs or requests. I have recommended Care One to friends and they have been very pleased and continue to thank me. I’m generally a tough customer and easily recommend Care One. I’ve had experiences with other companies and they don’t come close to measuring up to what Care One has to offer.

Ben– I want to thank you and the owner so much for your help in getting me a Cpap machine after I arrived in the city to find mine broken. You guys went above and beyond. I was nearly resigned to scheduling a flight back to Nashville, canceling my presentations at the Universities. There would have been several hundred disappointed students (not), but definitely some angry professors and admin I and my company would have had to answer to. Your efforts will not be forgotten.

I brought a prescription for a 4-​wheeled walker with seat, along with my health insurance information, to this place a couple of weeks ago. Since I haven’t heard anything from them, I called, only to be told the following: «Your insurance doesn’t cover walkers.» «We’re probably out of network.» Both statements are false, as verified by my insurance provider. Furthermore, the insurance company has NO record of verification or any request of information /​claim from Care One on my behalf. Now traveling to their location was a hardship for me, so to be treated so disrespectfully is beyond infuriating. This company does not deserve the one star that I am forced to give them! I’m curious to know exactly why they discarded my order, and what was done with my information. I do intend to file a complaint with the BBB.

6 years ago I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea at the Cornell Sleep Center in NYC. I started to call the companies that carry CPAP Machines and was I in for a rude awakening.
I left messages on companies voice mail or had tried to speak to someone that I could not communicate with. CARE ONE Medical Supply was an amazing find! As soon as the company picked up the phone, I knew this was the right company to deal with. The company’s office is based in New York City just a short M15 bus ride from where I lived.
When I arrived to their offices, I met Ben the owner and he introduced me to members of his staff. I viewed every possible kind of equipment that was made for patients with Sleep Apnea. The staff was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question that was brought up. My doctor told me that it is very important that I was fitted correctly to prevent air from escaping. The staff took excellent care of me making sure the CPAP was the right unit, but also that the Pillow Mask that I selected fitted correctly to maximize my therapy.
Once I selected the machine and mask, the CARE ONE staff contacted my insurance company and made the transaction as easy as 1,2,3!
Getting supplies could not be any easier! I make a phone call to Dustin, Ben or any of the other professional CARE ONE staff members who are very pleasant to deal with.
I strongly would recommend CARE ONE for your medical necessities.

I’m an injured WTC 9 – 11 responder.
3÷19÷2015 I came to pick up my CPAP supplies, that I ordered the night before.
Luck would have it, I caught the mistake when I was picking up my supplies. I pointed it out to the new rep in training. It the wrong fine filter. It doesn’t fit my machine !!. New rep in training asked that asshole who sits in the front (grey hair) and he tells me that’s the filter. Him an I exchange words (politely). I told him again your wrong. He said take it or leave. I said to him «go do your job and go in the back and pull the correct one). I also reminded him he gave the the correct one last time in Jan. He said they don’t have it.
He refused to do it.
It took the new rep to find it and «Guess what» he did find them.
You have now been warned, be very careful in dealing with them.

The worst medical supply company in the metropolitan area for medical supplies, especially CPAP sleep machines.
In the beginning, when you first receive equipment, they’ll do a clipboard questionnaire follow up call. And that’s where the CareOne customer service and support ends.
You can’t get through to talk to anyone if you call them for assistance. their «great service» is a false claim on their website.
Even if you have an urgent, health equipment situation.
And the management is even worse. Negligent and incompetent when dealing with the public. The arrogance (and stupidity) exhibited by the CareOne general manager recently was beyond words. The man is a total excuse maker and lacking any sense of understanding for customers.
He ked more problems than he resolves. In fact, he’s incapable of resolving ANYTHING, including the pickup of his equipment after I switched suppliers. Yes, that’s right. I switched suppliers five years ago from these bozos. And I did it again last week. Apparently CareOne is as mismanaged now as it was five years ago!
Plus, the company, that is making a lot of money in the medical equipment field has ZERO accountability for the company principals. They aren’t listed anywhere on their website.
That alone is pretty suspicious. Why are they hiding?
This company should be avoided completely. It’s only a matter of time before they’ll be in the news! Avoid this «invisibly managed» company at all cost. No one should trust their health with fictitious medical equipment operators.

UPDATE: 3÷27÷15 I have switched CPAP provider through my doctor (Mt Sinai ⁹⁄₁₁ program) and i am expecting my new CPAP machine this Monday 3÷30÷15.
Meanwhile, the incompetent manager at CareOne stood me up TWICE for the Pick up of their CPAP machine! And no one at CareOne has contacted me to determine thenstatus of the CPAP machine pickuo It is still sitting here in my apartment and I will try to deliver it to my local precinct to viucher it for safekeeping. Once i get a receipt from NYPD, I’ll mail it to BA. the moron CareOne manager.
