So, not the best but not the worst either. Here’s what I would recommend: — A smoothie. You can make your own and they have a bunch of options. — Make a hot chicken cutlet sandwich with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion — Make a salad. Size small is plenty, and the honey mustard chicken is good — Order chicken salad on the side. It’s my go-to. If you’ve tried one or two things from here and didn’t love it, I wouldn’t write it off. Give it another shot, and watch out for some overpriced items like fruit and parfaits. Dessert isn’t worth raving about.

Cute café. Serves fresh fruit juices as well as cut fruit bowls. They make your eggs right in front of you. 3 stars because some of the fruit in my bowl were bad.

A coworker and I decided to lunch here one day during a video shoot. The place was crowded the first time we ate here, but the staff is very efficient. There is a lot on the menu to choose from, however, I definitely recommend the chicken salad wrap. I love spicy, and their chicken salad wrap has a good amount of jalapeños in it. It’s your typical NYC café, but the people who work here are friendlier than at most places.

My experience here was pretty bad. I arrived at about noon on a Sunday, there were about 10 – 15 people in the shop(about 1⁄10th the size of the line for a bagel place across the street). Waited a few minutes, placed my order for an everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and a slice of tomato(not the strangest order in the world, right). Waited another 5 – 10 minutes and got my order. Except they gave me an everything bagel with cheddar cheese and lox. I told them that wasn’t what I ordered and they offered me cream cheese and tomatoes on the side. I explained that I’m a vegetarian and wouldn’t just«pick the lox off». Finally the girl huffed and said«fine, wait over there, but it’s going to be a while because we’re really busy right now.» Excuse me? I was there before the other customers you’re currently serving and your team got my order wrong. If I hadn’t already paid I would have left. Probably could have waited in line at the other place and been eating my bagel in the same amount of time. Food wasn’t bad in the end, just the staffs attitudes.

I gave Cascade Café a second chance and they again failed. The guys near the grill are more concerned with stocking the rolls and the other guy never looked up. So much for customer service. I mean I can understand if they were busy, bit I was the only one standing there. The cashiers are awesome, smiling and always pleasant.

Their chocolate mousse cake is so delicious. It is fairly reasonably priced, considering it is one of the most delicious ones I have ever eaten. Cascade Café is a clean and quiet place to relax. They have at least one power outlet for charging your device, near one of the tables. Edited as of 12÷31÷15 Their recent change in policy requires that guests leave their tables within 10 minutes. Because of this customer unfriendly policy, I have changed my rating to reflect this.

Walked by this place a few times in the past few days that we’ve been staying around the corner, and finally just went in for some dessert. Blueberry cheesecake, pecan tart and decaf cappuccino(decaf for the preggo). The winner was definitely the pecan tart, and the cappuccino wasn’t shabby either. Just what we wanted before ending our last evening in NYC. The pecan tart was like a mini pecan pie and the flavor was wonderful. The crust was delicious. Blueberry cheesecake was forgettable. Take my advice and venture a few blocks down for cheesecake(see my other reviews for NYC). Total bill was $ 14 for the two desserts and the coffee. Extremely affordable and reasonable for NYC standards. Worth it in my opinion. Scoped out the deli and it looks like they have a great variety of fresh sandwiches and wraps. Also have a fresh juice bar inside. Looks like a good place to grab and go at all times during the day.

This place was alright. Tried the French toast and it was mediocre. Husband got the breakfast sandwich and he enjoyed it. Service was great. Overall, it was just an alright breakfast.

Beautiful store & the food is fresh. However, my one star review comes after the employees were extremely rude to my 70 year old Grandmother and me. Their attitude was unwelcoming and it was uncalled for.

Had a bagel that was reasonably good one daughter had pancakes and enjoyed then, other daughter had cappuccino muffin and loved it. My wife had the southwest wrap and really enjoyed it. All in all a good experience.

Solid food, albeit not amazing food. Cascade Café is a NYC café that features exactly what you might expect out of places of this type — lots of sandwich options, a small selection of breakfast options, and a random assortment of other stuff. Prices are slightly, but not offensively, high. The place is clean and convenient, so no complaints there. Staff here were super nice and quick — meaning that the meal was reasonably and quickly prepared — but didn’t really seem to do much other than throw ingredients together. The breakfast sandwiches I’ve had here range from good(sausage, egg, and bacon) to the mediocre(grilled chicken and egg whites). The bagels here are solid, but not mind blowing. I’d consider this«convenience food» — stuff I grab because I’m hungry, not stuff that I go out of my way to eat. All in all, an okay option.

A bit pricey but overall, a good standard lunch place. I came here Saturday for a quick bite and ended up getting a tuna sandwich, chips, cannoli($ 3.50), and Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups($ 3) for around $ 17 total with tax. For a corner café/deli type joint their dessert display case is surprisingly delicious looking. I couldn’t resist getting the cannoli, and it was pretty good! The shell was softened from sitting out prefilled, but this is a deli after all and not a bakery so I’m going to fault them for it. I was especially happy to find the Justin’s PB cups because they’re my favorite snack and not usually so easily found. The tuna sandwich was as expected, with good, crisp tomatoes and lettuce. My only complaint would be that it took a good 5 – 10 minutes of awkwardly standing by the counter before anybody acknowledged or offered to help me. I think they were maybe training a new employee at the cash register? There was some confusion with a customer when I walked in and the guys prepping the food were really backed up. Hopefully it’s a little better organized during the week.

I used to come to Cascade all the time. The food and drinks suck, but it was worth it for the free wifi right by my house for a change of scenery without the business of Starbucks. I’d grab dessert and tea and hang out on one of the tables with my laptop. I went there tonight and found out they’re not offering wifi anymore. So now there’s exactly 0 reasons to go there. The food is seriously disgusting.

I stopped by here this morning with my fiancé and her parents for breakfast. We were walking by and decided to pop in after seeing the deli cases full of food. The inside isn’t too big but boy was it cold in there. My fiancé and her mom were both shivering for quite a few minutes until they drank some coffee to get warm. For breakfast I decided to order the egg and cheese sandwich on white and a large coffee while the rest of our group ordered 2 egg white vegetable wraps. The coffee here was pretty miserable tasting which was confirmed by my fiancé. In addition to that, my first cup also had a slow leak out of the bottom so I asked for another. That cup also had a slow leak in the same spot and so I imagine that the whole case might have. Unlike the coffee my sandwich was awesome. The best way for me to describe it is a great grilled cheese sandwich with egg on it. A crispy crunchy exterior with a warm and gooey interior, it was terrific. The others at the table also said that they enjoyed their wraps. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I would certainly avoid the coffee, the food certainly hit the spot.

Definitely a solid place to get a sandwich or some breakfast. The staff are all nice and it’s very clean. I’ll be honest, I usually only come here if the line is out the door across the street at Pick A Bagel(and I don’t get bagels here because they don’t always have veggie cream cheese) but like I said, you can get a nice turkey sandwich for lunch or a tasty bacon egg and cheese on a roll for breakfast. Solid three stars… it’s a little pricey so that’s why I can’t give #4.
