But then you come upon this hub of energy– this bulwark of a city, and realize that it’s a whole different story here.
It’s the Mega State of all Real Estate. It’s the machine that makes the wheels turn for every company that buys a plot of land, or every family that have ever had ambitious dreams. It’s the place that defines the American dream– for those that build factories, companies, schools or developments that can help give jobs to hundreds of thousands… to millions… to billions. Every major player in this market resides and works within this town… and Keller Williams NYC houses most of them. Particularly, the CBBL Group (Commercial Real Estate).
Huge statement you say?
Not at all. There are millions of people who flock to the five boroughs with basic living and professional needs. Keller Williams NYC have been growing their reach with excellent customer service and listings for years. Not only do they operate within a system of integrity and value («Trust, Commitment, Honesty, Loyalty and Integrity» — their mantra), their choices in real estate and prospects are extremely attractive.
Personally, as an aspiring Manhattan Realtor, I was drawn to to Keller Williams NYC. I attended a short training program through another group earlier this year (which I ended up not wanting to work with– the broker and his right hand woman and I did not get along, which was odd since I get along with most people; Also it was too small scale for me). However, through the group, I had met two very ambitious sales agents/​brokers: Jeffrey Chung and Chirag Batra. Call me old fashioned, but when a company’s mantra states values that are parallel to my own, I value it. When I meet people of the same values, I connect and bond. I truly believe that Trust, Commitment, Honesty, Loyalty and Integrity are the most important values that one should uphold within life, love, work and of course, Real Estate. The bigger the property, the more this holds true.
Now, I don’t work for them at this point in time, but I want to. I was given the option of joining by starting off with giving referrals. Jeffrey assured me that I would get compensated and that he would always go through me when working with potential clients, listings or buyers. This has held true since knowing him. He’s never been shady or held anything back. He’s followed up with me every time. He’s very direct when need be, considerate, generous, efficient and extremely professional. He’s also made an effort socially as well– great sense of humor! Above all, he’s placed my needs above his. I’ve had limited contact with Chirag, but he’s also professional and efficient. I know that they are building something special within their group and I’ve stopped by a few times at their office; Then at their large cubicle, where a team of interns were being mentored. I have to say that it was very nice to see that they’ve put that time and effort into guiding their interns properly.
The fact that both of them have backgrounds that prove their intelligence and their experience in the field is also very comforting! Stuyvesant, Carnegie Mellon, Finance, Hotels (Real Estate: Hospitality) et al. Good stuff.
Ask me in a few months– Heck, ask me in a few weeks, whether or not I’ll be a part of this team. The answer is, most likely– IF they’ll take me! I’d rather be in a Win/​Win environment, a team that works with the purest of all basic principles, with a company that exudes it and with the players that carry it out, than with a team that dreams but never follow through. Compare this group with other r.e. agents — You’ll see what I mean.
