Just wanted to say thanks to CC’s for helping salvage a surprise gone wrong! I wanted to send my hubby his favorite breakfast sandwich for his birthday as a surprise and set it all up to be delivered but for some reason my cell got lost in the order in case he didnt pick up(since, duh, he wouldnt be expecting them). They left without delivering it but found my contact and let me know and we got it all handled and the sammie was eventually delivered without extra charge for the 2nd trip. I really truly appreciate it… and will leave another proper tip when I visit again in the near future! Heartfelt thanks!

I love everything about CC’s! Especially the mushroom avocado wrap. The owner is great, and sometimes her cute dog is sitting outside. A great neighborhood spot.

Tried a delicious veggie wrap with warm mushrooms, avocado, sprouts, and pesto mayo(they make their pesto – along with everything else – onsite). Very friendly staff, a few tables to dine-in, and magazines for thumbing through. Lovely spot!

A nice refuge from the long line of Starbucks. Very friendly. Great coffee, if. Or better than SB. Fresh baked goods. The almond croissant it’s super yummy. Soups and fresh veggies for all your sandwich needs. If your looking for goodness all day, this is the place.

Nice little place to stop for a drink! I just had a coffee and my companion had the Banana Split smoothie, which I found creative and tasty. Nice woody décor and big window with a pleasant view. Extensive food menu looked good but can’t comment on it. Friendly service.

The food is adequate, but the owner(or the morning manager) ties her dog up outside the shop nearly every morning and it yips and whines and barks starting at 7:45 a.m. Incredibly obnoxious and annoying — not to mention cruel. She’ll tie her dog up regardless of how frigid is it outside. For this reason only, I can’t recommend C.C.‘s. Get a clue, owner. Real pet owners don’t leave their pets in the cold, whining and barking and annoying the heck out of the neighbors.

LOVECC’s! Wraps and soups are my go-to lunches. She’s great with flavor combinations. I get the West Village Wrap weekly and it never disappoints. Sometimes I make my own salad and love her dressing.

With lunch on the mind, walked down hudson aimlessly until I stopped next to this little café in a very quiet part of the neighborhood. Got the $ 7 and change soup/sandwich combo(harira soup and tomato/chedder sandwich). The soup was very good — a regular chicken noodle with a good amount of vegetables and strong spices that gave it a nice kick. The sandwich was bland, with it being more of just something to dip into the soup. Service excellent, and got a table despite it being extraordinarily small space. Baked goods look tempting…

Throwing ice into a hot mocha makes it– at best– a watered-down, lukewarm mocha. It does not make it an iced mocha. Save your money for a business that understands that distinction.

This place is so small, and so slow, and so expensive. Maybe if the atmosphere was more pleasant it would be ok to make someone wait so long. Plus, there is almost always a dog tied up in front of the door, which I think might be the owners, and I think is kind of mean to the dog, and annoying for patrons.

Although a bit tiny, Hudson street’s CCs café packs a full menu. I came here on a Friday an hour before closing and ordered the dirty chai iced latte(chai latte with a shot of espresso) and a House(portobello mushroom, bacon and jarlsberg cheese) egg wrap for dinner. The egg wrap I had is definitely a winner. There’s 3 whole eggs scrambled and mixed in with your toppings. The taste of these wraps are so simple and homey but with an artisan twist of ‘gourmet’. The dirty chai latte is amazing as well. I wish there was a bit more spice taste in the latte but its expected to be toned down since there’s a really strong pang of espresso added into the drink. Overall I would definitely come back for more dirty chai latte and I’ll try their half soup and sandwich deal for 7.50 next time. Oh not to forget, my cashier was super fast and friendly. Yay for egg wraps and dirty chais!

I’m writing this review on my latte experience only. I’m particular when it comes to coffee. I saw this place as I was walking by during lunch and seeing café in it’s name thought this must be a great latte-sure thing-in the west village-kind of thing. For more than $ 4/large latte I knew I was in for something lousy just based on the the print on the cup and coffee cozy. The latte I threw away a third of the way through. This is one the all-time worst coffees I had ever had. Haven’t tried their soups, salads, or food. Maybe they succeed in in these departments. Coffee? F

Good tiny neighborhood place to grab a sandwich for lunch or dinner. I love their chicken quesadilla with chipotle mayo, and their creamy balsamic salad dressing is delightful. Just be sure to call ahead for takeout, since it takes about 10 – 15 min. to get your food.

Dear CC, whoever you are. Your bagels are an epic fail. Not only is the bagel itself severely crippled by its mediocre taste and texture, but the cream cheese, cut very sparingly from the cheapest block of food-service-industry type of drek, is borderline offensive in taste. Sincerely, SM

This quaint café has its share of competition for coffee goers on this corner of the Christopher St PATH stop. I chose it given its obscure location behind scaffolding and figured it could use some patronage. It was empty but full of warm service. My friend and I remained for 4 hours with one almond croissant and two coffees sitting in the main window as a steady stream of people walked through and picked up an assortment of pastries and warm beverages. Everything smelled good, it was as if we were in the kitchen itself. Happy to come back to this pocket of the West Village anytime!

It’s a quaint little café with limited seating and even tighter standing quarters. Well, clearly the fall weather has arrived with a vengeance or does this mean it’ll be an even colder winter. Either way Mother Nature’s coldness made me crave a little bit of a warm escape — by way of soup that is. And this spot is just what I needed. I opted for a half soup & half sandwich: chicken salad sandwich & split pea soup. I haven’t had split pea soup in a long time and it really hit the spot. There is an assortment of sweets too. But I passed on it… besides that will give me a reason to pop on in again.

I pass by this place everyday walking to work. Occasionally, I’d poke my head in and look at their menu(but really, to drink their soup). I’m a soup guy and this place is probably one of the few shops in the area that has a wide selection of soups that definitely tastes home-made(or home-inspired) and not from a can. I’ve sampled about 4 – 5 different types. I really like their tuscan white bean soup. Next on my list will be their gazpacho(perfect for summer!). They don’t have crackers but they can toast up bread for you to use as croutons. Excellent! I also got the Chicken Tarragon sandwich and it was good. The bread was fluffy and the chicken salad was not doused with mayo, which is a plus. Their iced coffee is one of the better one’s I’ve tasted among small cafes and adding soy does not cost extra(unlike some coffee shops I know!). Service was friendly but I wish the prices were a little cheaper. 3.5 stars.

So NOT that cute little sandwich place around the corner. I tried a cuban with small cappuccino. Everything was sub par. The cappuccino wasn’t small, it was tiny, might as well have been a shot of espresso. The sandwich took too long to make. The meat was really tough, chewy and thick. Kinda greasy. The side salad was warm like the lettuce had been sitting out on the counter and it didn’t have any dressing. Mmm plain warm lettuce. PASS.

I debated between three or four stars. I’d give this place a 3 ½ if I could. It’s a very tiny café. There are about 3 or 4 little round tables near the window and that’s about it. It wasn’t crowded when I got there but I’d hate to see it when it is because there just wasn’t much room. I got a soup and sandwich combo: cream of broccoli with a curry chicken sandwich. The soup was okay. But not what I expected. It wasn’t very creamy or as thick as normal«cream of…» soups. I still ate most of it, but not impressed. The curry chicken sandwich was delicious however it was tiny. On one of those tiny little round rolls. I dunno what I expected but it was just too small to really thoroughly enjoy. I may give them another chance and try more sandwiches.

Went here craving soup, left realizing it’s one of the best soup spots around! They’ve got so many different soups to choose from. I wish I could try every single soup in one sitting. Hmmm… that’s an idea! I wonder if they could do a sample platter of soups? I got the split pea soup and it was wonderful, but my husband got the cream of tomato and it was amazing! Definitely the best cream of tomato I’ve had in a very long time. The service is very friendly and the place is very cute and small. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet afternoon lunch for two or to-go orders. It’s pretty small. The chicken curry sandwich I got with my soup was good, but very small and a little dry. It complimented my soup well though.
