I am so happy with my Laser Genesis treatments! My skin’s texture has greatly improved and the staff has been so supportive and attentive!

I had the best IPL in NY last week! I’ve had pigmentation issues for years and had many different treatments including IPL, but I’ve never been so impressed with the results. Isis (my aesthetician) is so knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with Melasma and countless other skin conditions. I’ve never noticed such a drastic change! The dark patches on my cheeks and forehead faded quickly, and the acne scars on my chin are barely noticeable anymore. My skin tone is even and glowing! I’ve seen doctors for these issues and never been so pleased with the outcome. Isis is very informative, and made me feel at ease throughout the procedure, and the staff were all courteous and professional. I’m looking forward to trying out their other services.

Central Park Laser offers the best services! Laser genesis has done wonders for my skin! The staff is amazing; they have really taken the time to educate me about what really works. Central Park Laser offer the best dermatology services that I ever experienced. When you visit make sure to ask for Zarah she is super nice and will provide the best treatment plan for your skin. I came here with severe back acne and I am on route to full recovery.

My one stop shop for all my skin care needs! The ladies at CPAS are super knowledgable and accommodating. I had awful acne before I started getting treatments here; but with their knowledge and equipment, my skin is almost super clear. I’ve been to other offices that would do complete no no’s for acne skin, like microdermabrasion (which I learned from CPAS that it actually spreads/​irritates acne and makes it worse). With this office, I know I’ll be getting the best treatments for my skin.

I just relocated to NYC from Toronto and was looking for a place to get laser hair removal done for my underarms. I was nervous but had a great friend recommend Central Park Aesthetics and Laser. Per her suggestion I booked my first session and ended up getting a great deal on a package! Customer Service was excellent and helpful — whole process easy, painless, and very informative. I obtained a groupon for my first trial of laser hair removal and after my first visit, decided to purchase packages for 3 more areas. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional, they give very helpful advice and are accommodating to all your wants and needs. I’d heard so much about the benefits of laser, I finally had my beard line tidied up by you guessed it laser. previously I’d tried electrolysis and threading No real success there. Having recently moved to NYC I wasn’t too sure where to go, did the usual online search, looked at reviews, then decided to have consultations. This was far the best, greeted by hospitable staff, If I’d just gone by reviews I may have decided not to come here, but I’m glad I did. They did a skin type test, and from the results told me I’d be a successful candidate for laser treatment. recommendations were given for better housekeeping how to better care for my skin, as a bonus I was given a free facial too. I can’t recommend this place enough, if you’re looking for great skincare you have to make Central Park laser your no:1 choice, it’s a fairly new company based inside a medical office, on the Upper West Side. The B & C trains drop you right outside, 1 2 & 3 trains are a 5 – 10 minute walk on Broadway. Birch Coffee, Starbucks, and Wholefoods are all within walking distance which is convenient, if you get there early like I did. Or the Park is just across the road can’t knock this place for location or service. Great people make businesses, these people have a great business.

OMG — Alvina is amazing and helping me get my skin back from disaster. I previously went to Dr. Karcher at Sadick Dermatology (who was arrested this week!) and have been battling discolorations ever since. So happy I found Central Park Aestheticians! Thanks Alvina!

My original review gave this establishment 2 stars and I am editing it to 1. The owner contacted me to make amends and was quite lovely. She explained the misunderstanding of my lost appointment and leaving the door open for a male customer during my consult (need to monitor him after a delicate facial treatment even though there was another employee in the waiting room with him). I decided to give them a second chance. Everyone can have a bad day and come across in a negative manner but the line of elective aesthetic services calls for an understanding of customer service and making a customer feel comfortable enough to return and recommend to others. The aesthetician calls in the owner after the treatment (which was fine), the owner was very polite and nice as she was before, the aesthetician was a bit confrontational as she argued her case with me stating some conflicting details as she recalled my initial visit and then glared at me! I agreed to schedule the next appointment only to get out of there quicker. I didn’t want to waste any more time and energy with someone so negative. I will not be returning and will find somewhere else to resume treatments.

At first I was nervous about starting laser hair removal, but after my first appointment with Alvina I am so happy I did! She is so friendly and made me feel very comfortable. With such professional bedside manner I knew I was in good hands. So far I am in my third session and already see a big difference with the removal of the hair on my legs and arms. I highly recommended Alvina and this location!

I would give this place 3 stars as I am up to my third treatment and I am seeing results, however I do feel a bit gypped. I did a lot of research as to where to go and what would be the best deal (I eventually used groupon) and this place offered the following: Medium Area «Brazilian Bikini (this covers only the front)“and Large Area «Brazilian Bikini extended Brazilian everything off.» (This is exact quotes from the website). I was looking for a pull front and back Brazilian and this sounded great. So I paid for the Large area. Also, if you google what Brazilian means it’s very clear: here is a quote from a website «the Brazilian covers outside the panty line, inside the panty line and the labia.» A Brazilian extended mean «Brazilian plus entire back area.» Usually if a spa has a policy about not including the back it has a separate option for the back side. This place didn’t have a separate option. Given these known definitions I paid for the large area.
When I get to my first appointment I advise the technician it’s my first time and she escorts me into another room to prepare. Once I’m on the table ready to go the technician advises me that Brazilian does not mean everything off. Being that I’m half naked on a table I’m not exactly in the position to argue. I told her okay but it includes the back correct? And she advised me that if I want the backside I will have to pay extra and that she can only do a small portion of the back side (like a strip) which I don’t even know if she covered Bc nothing has changed down there. (Note I was not requesting to laser my entire butt cheek, just the strip and around it). It might be my fault for not fighting it but I felt gypped to say the least. My bikini is basically a deep bikini NOT an «Brazilian extended» as they advertised. I could have just paid for the medium area Brazilian bikini. That being said I suggest you explain what you paid for and what you want and don’t wait to be on the table to make your requests. Sadly I am now looking for another place to do my back side.

This is my first review in Unilocal,and i usually only write review or recommend any place or a restaurant only when i am very well pleased with the service. I am a physician and i can tell you that I am very selective and cautious when it come to my health especially if it about cosmetics. I had facial hair removal, micro-​derm abrasion, chemical peel and agenesis done in this great center. It is very small, however, they provide great services to you. It got an offer in Groupon for hair-​removal and I thought it worth trying since it had good reviews in multiple places. I ended up getting other services… and you won’t believe it… I am very happy with my skin now.
I have very complicated skin that it hard to manage and with my life style and the stress… it contributed significantly to fall behind in my skin care. …
I it have started with Central park Aesthetics and laser center in April and it has been only 6 weeks with them and i am very pleased… every one at work and in my social network has complement my skin, the purity of it and how smooth it is.
Alvina and her wonderful staff have been great. Alvina has given me great deal and discount on many services. They are very social and very professional. They respect my strict schedule and always on time. I never experience a delay in the center. the maximum waiting time was 5 minutes only.

I’ve been going to Central Park Aesthetics for laser hair removal on multiple areas and I’m extremely pleased with all my experiences, so I decided to go in for an Isolaz laser facial treatment this time around. My skin is really sensitive so I’m always a little apprehensive, but my skin post-​treatment feels SO calm, soft and clean and I’ve been getting lots of compliments! Their offices are very clean and well maintained, and their aesthetician is fantastic! She’s incredibly skilled with the machine and has a lot of experience working with sensitive skin types. She took extra time to understand and address all my concerns and made me feel at ease.
As for the laser hair removal: the Cutera laser they use is highly effective and relatively pain-​free (the cooling tip definitely helps!). I’ve had unsuccessful laser treatments with different machines in both Florida and the Middle East, where I lived before, but with the Cutera, I saw hair reduction and a thinning of hair texture in just 1 – 2 treatments. The staff is also wonderful with post-​treatment care and follow-​ups.
Considering the excellent quality of their treatments, I was pleasantly surprised with their pricing, especially since treatments in Manhattan can get so pricey. Great value for money! I’ve been highly recommending them to family and friends without hesitation. So happy I found this place!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. YUSUF MAMDANI for mole removal. HE is an OB/​GYN and should stick with his expertise! Their website is deceiving. this is an OB/GYN’s OFFICE… they do mention it on their Unilocal page but after my experience I would recommend going to a spa with licensed estheticians and dermatologists. Also, I DEVELOPED an INFECTION from my mole removal. and here are some comments from DR. YUSUF MAMDANI during and after my skin tag/​mole removal.
«Ooh this is very deep… OOOH my goodness. OH my. VERRY DEEP!!» He was making me feel like I had some giant growth and honestly my moles were tiny. nothing more than raised beauty marks!
When I asked him if he had a band-​aid to cover up my newly cauterized wound, he said. «Oh, OK I will but I wasn’t going to because since it was on your breast I FELT a LITTLE SHY!» WHAT!!! This man is supposed to be a PROFESSIONAL and that made me even more self conscious! And he is an OBGYN? No bedside manner!
Then that week, the cut on my breast developed an infection so I went to City M.D. for antibiotic. When I went back to Dr. Mamdani he looked at it but didn’t say anything just that it looks better. No explanation as to why or how the infection could have developed or for taking care of it. then he said, «Oh, I probably should have put stitches in it but didn’t because it was on your breast.» Huh?
READ ON. While taking the stitches out of the wound beside my ear, he REOPENED the cut and it started to bleed. he said, «Oh, I should have left the stitches in one more week because it’s open again.» Then proceeded to send me home with band-​aids and told me to squeeze the skin together so the cut can close. as if a band-​aid can do the same job as stitches!!!
Dr. Mamdani IS a sweet and pleasant man, but a bit unprofessional and doesn’t seem knowledgable with mole removal. He gets OK reviews as an OB/​GYN and I can’t speak for that but I think it is terrible that he is trying to make more $$ by dabbling in a field that isn’t his specialty. I would NOT advise anyone to go to him for skin tag or mole removal.
