We had the Red Bean Pearl Milk Tea, it was really good compared to other boba tea places. The Red Bean was really sweet and the boba was good. Suggest to get 50% sugar or less, the sweetness of the red bean will make up for it, unless you like it really sweet.

3 stars since workers could’ve been friendlier! Pathnames Plum Juice and boba was really good!

Have finished a spicy dinner, I was eagerly looking for a milk tea place to clean up my palate. My friend suggested this place, claiming this is one of the«best» tea places, so we decided to pay a visit. Really appreciated that they serve different sugar level and ice level. I opted for the oolong green tea with coconut jelly. Thanks to the less sugar/less ice option, my milk tea was just at the right level of sweetness, while still preserved a slight touch of green tea flavor. 8 dollar credit card minimum. Standard Chinatown setting.

The best of the best when it come to getting a really good bubble drink I have never had a moment where I can say I regret coming here. It is so worth the walk from Tribeca after a day of work, service is always great and the staff is always there to recommend something new to try.

They r nice! The tea is good! Wish they stay opened later tho… Will be back! My favorite cold drink is the classic milk green tea and their hot drinks are good too! For hot drink, definitely try the barley green tea but with low sugar.(My go-to) Good location right off the exit to subway trains

Tons of flavors and options. I had the red bean which was delicious but I didn’t really appreciate the pieces of red bean in addition to my bobbas. Nevertheless, solid spot to grab some bubble tea.

My go-to boba tea spot in Chinatown. It’s the cutest place, with the cutest packaging! I usually get taro or passionfruit. Would recommend this place even though there’s only a couple seats. It gets pretty packed depending on what day/time you go.

Disappointing compared to Toronto’s chatimes. But when you need your fix, ya need your fix. Usually I get the Taro Milk tea, and in Toronto they always make it quite thick and it’s a bit like a dessert but not too sweet. Blessed, I would argue. Here they do it differently; not thick at all, very watery and very sweet. I would not get this again here, but it is a nice joint to stay warm in when the city is — 20 Celsius. My boyfriend still liked their grass jelly milk tea so it might just be their Taro. Nonetheless, I would not come here again as I have belief that there are much better bbtea places in NYC.

Good location in Chinatown, right next to the trains. There are a lot of choices and they make it quickly. It’s nice to have the option for both hot and cold drinks on almost everything on the menu. We’ve always enjoyed ChaTime’s drinks without it being too sweet and giving you a cavity. Enjoyable!

It’s definitely hard to stand out as a bubble tea place in the myriad of options available in Chinatown, but I found this place to be solid! Really appreciated the sugar and ice selections(you can get each at different percentages). I ordered the lychee green tea with slight sugar(30%) and no ice. It was very refreshing and also had bits of lychee, which was a nice touch. The space is super tiny(has a total of 2 tables) but people generally do takeout. It’s a good place to grab a casual drink!

I was in dire need for some bubble tea on my last day in New York. It was well worth the hassle hustling and bustling through Manhattan just to get here. I didn’t even know of a specific business that sold it. I just took a subway stop to Canal Station in Chinatown and desperately peered through every window to see anything that looked remotely close to what bubble tea looked like. And here I was! Hands down the best tapioca milk tea I’ve ever had. Ever. There’s nothing else to say. It’s just good! If you love bubble tea wherever you are, you’re missing out. You gotta try Chatime. Oh, one more thing — there is a $ 10 minimum charge on credit cards! So unless you plan to feast on lots of bubbles and snacks, be sure to carry chump change with you.

This chatime served the absolute best, chewiest boba I’ve had since I could remember, and their grass jelly is great too. I got the rose tea lightly sweetened. It was perfection. Prices are actually cheaper than other Chatime chains I’ve visited. Definitely worth the visit in Chinatown.

The drink was great. They have a great deal of variety to include tapioca & lychee jelly to add. I ordered the Lychee Tea with Tapioca & Lychee Jelly. The portions and price was great. They even have a large option of how you’d like your ice portion to be for the picky people.

First time I had Chatime was not in NYC but in Toronto. And the first time I had Chatime in NYC was not at this location. I really liked Chatime but it seemed to have changed the way they make their drinks. And they are kind of inconsistent. But overall this location is just a typical Chatime franchise bubble tea nothing to be wow-ed about. It’s better than many other places you’ll go to but it’s certainly not the best. But if your in this general area you’re better off coming here than to Kung Fu Tea. At least you won’t feel like your drinking a container of honey.

The store itself isn’t much, with limited seating. However, it did seem pretty technologically advanced with all those flatscreen menus. In any case, it’s your standard boba place with decent tea, OK boba, and a plethora of menu items. I liked their creative ones! I tried the banana boba with grass jelly. Really loved it at 50% sugar. You can choose varying percentages of sweet and/or fat which is awesome. It’s also labeled on the side of your cup so you don’t get mixed up. Prices are pretty reasonable.

I love Chatime milk tea! It’s also one of the few milk tea spots in Chinatown that accept credit card. They have so many flavors to choose– from fruity teas, to different types of herbal tea, to flavored milk teas, the possibilities seem endless! You can also order your drink hot and add mix-ins such as grass jelly, tapioca balls(boba), pudding, fruity jelly, etc. My favorite has to be the roasted milk tea with grass jelly and pudding. It has a prominent tea flavor and just a great go-to drink overall. It’s not too sweet(you can adjust the sweetness level and ice too) –just really, tasty simple flavors. I also recently tried their honeydew milk tea because I wanted something fruity and different; boy was it delicious. The honeydew flavor really stood out and worked really well with the tea. The shop is small with maybe like three tables, so more of a stop-and-go type of place. It’s located smack dab right on a corner on Canal so it definitely generates a lot of traffic. Chatime satisfies my milk tea cravings for sure!

Chatime gets 5-stars from me because it’s straight up bubble tea at decent prices. More than that, they are open half an hour later than their counterpart Ten Ren… that half an hour makes a world of difference if you happen to be walking blissfully out from a restaurant at 9:30 pm on a Saturday and craving a taro buble tea(just saying). With no bakeries open, we headed to Ten Ren, opened the door, only to be turned away… Chatime it is! Flavors were decent. I prefer strongly tea flavors but this will do. Generous amount of tapioca and the bubbles were of good consistency. Not too mushy and not too starchy.

Popped in here after a really strong craving for milk tea with pudding and herbal jelly all day. Ten Ren or Kung Fu Tea is usually my go-to bubble tea spot for that whenever I’m in Chinatown but since KFT around the corner was full and the train station was close by, I decided to give Chatime a try. My order of a Large Grass Jelly Milk Tea w/Pudding(which was extra $ 0.50) ended up to costing about $ 5.15…kinda pricey in my opinion since I’m used to getting that for less than $ 5 at Vivi’s including boba. Got my order and couldn’t wait to satisfy my craving. Stabbed it with a straw, first big sip and… no flavor?! I ordered a MT so I expected a mild sweetness and richness of tea flavor but nope. Not even a slight bitterness or a hint smooth milk texture hence a completely watered down flavorless drink. Made me regret ordering a large :( Very disappointed in the end especially after reading all the glowing reviews for this place. The counter was full of workers and I overheard a girl asking for the sugar levels for tea so maybe they were training new staff when I was there? Chatime isn’t very big but compared to other Chinatown bubble tea establishments, it’s spacious enough for 3 – 4 small tables and lots of room to wait for your other by the counter. Next time I have a killer MT craving like this, I’ll make the extra walk down to someplace else.

Had a honeydew bubble tea from here a good while ago, excellent flavors. i remember the bubbles being better than at Kung Fu but I prefer the service/Longan tea at Kung Fu.
