I absolutely love this place and the DOH scandal/rating definitely does not stop me from craving my Spicy Chicken deluxe The line here is always long, sometimes out the door and down the block but I guarantee that you will be able to order AND get your food within 20 minutes(hey! that’s not bad for delicious food). This is no typical fast food since all chicken that they use is ORGANIC! YUMM, and they give you a solid piece of chicken. Not that skinny, sad piece of chicken they would give you at Wendys(no hate to Wendys, I love Wendys in their own way). I love the spicy chicken bcos I love most things spicy and the breading of the chicken is DELICIOUS, well seasoned, and crunchy! There is nothing bad I can say about the sandwich! Their waffle fries are hands down, the best, EVENBETTERTHANSHAKESHACKFRIES! They are full of potato, consistently crunchy & I LOOOVE the ketchup packets they give. You can actually conveniently put ketchup on your fries while standing, sitting, without a desk or in any situation– such a big plus to me compared to the crappy ketchup packets at McDonalds which are a mess to squeeze out and you don’t even end up with that much ketchup. I tried to dine in once but it is impossible to find a seat even though they’ve allocated an entire floor to seating. I think there was even a line of people waiting for a seat, that’s insane haha. PS: Ketchup, mustard and other sauces are not available at the condiments table. You have to personally ask the cashier so do not forget!

One word Amazing. I Love Chic Fil A. I got a deluxe spicy chicken sandwich and it was so delicious, along with that I got a tasty cookies and cream shake. It was pure heaven. I can’t wait to go back again ! The size of the place is decent, there is seating upstairs. Depending on how crowded it is, will determine how quickly you will be able to get a seat. The staff is amazing, I’ve never seen such happy people in my life. They are all super happy and pleasant friendly people.

Right before I board the Amtrak from Penn Station, I’m always looking for some quick and yummy fast food bites to bring along for the ride. Most options around Penn Station are unfortunately pretty mediocre, so thank goodness Chick-fil-a is here to the rescue! I had the spicy chicken sandwich meal with waffle fries(~$ 9 in total). The spicy chicken sandwich here is my favorite from any fast food chain. For one thing, the chicken is actually spicy, rather than just a piece of semi-flavored dried-up chicken breast, and the bun is just the right level of butteriness. The waffle fries were a bit soggy so were very lackluster in comparison to the sandwich. Next time, rather than opting for a full meal, maybe I’ll just get two sandwiches instead. Finally, I was so impressed by the service here. The line moves really quickly, and the food comes out even quicker, so don’t be intimated if you see a really long line.

Second visit and this was better than he first. Line was considerably shorter since it was a weeknight. The worker at the counter(I will assume manager since his uniform was different) was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made me excited to get my food. Able to find a table fairly quickly and an employee was right there wiping down the table and picking up after the last customers(even though there wasn’t much of a mess). Much appreciated. We both got the Chick Fil A deluxe meal. Him with the waffle fries and me with the superfoods salad. Both sandwiches were tasty and juicy with a nice balance due to the lettuce tomatoes and pickles. We also used the Chick Fil A sauce on the sandwiches. The fries are meh for me. I’m used to seasoned and/or super crunchy waffle fries and these are definitely not it. They were good but not a standout. The superfoods salad was small! But very tasty. It has kale and broccolini, with dried fruit and packaged granola to toss on top. It comes pre-dressed with maple something dressing to counteract the bitter greens. It was tasty but I don’t know if I would order again. Good location and nice staff. Will be back.

Chick-fil-A knows how to run a business. Though you’ll often see a line outside, it moves FAST. Servers take your order as you file in through the line, letting you simply give the final order to the register and pay for the meal. And all the servers are smiling! Breath of fresh air from the normally sullen looks that fast food workers tend to display. Love the spicy chicken sandwich. Quality is the same as you’d get in the suburbs. You can ask for a high chair and they’ll wheel out a clean one for you, and also supply a child’s place mat(you can stick it directly onto a table). Great place; so happy to have them in NYC!

Lacks something. Can’t put my finger on it but it’s not the same. I’m from the Midwest and I was estatic to find out that a chick Fil a would be here. It’s the only place that was missing. However it’s just not the same place. I mean the chicken menu is the same and so is the uniform but I don’t remember milk shakes on their menu before. I guess they want to compete with shake shake. I did not try the shake honestly. I got a chicken deluxe meal and nuggets meal with a chicken soup. The soup was good for fast food restaurant. The chicken deluxe lacked flavor. The nuggets are off the chain good just like how I remembered but the sandwich was whatever. The waffle fries were good but really soft. I like my fries with a nice crunch but these seemed like they were just sitting outside. Weird because it’s super busy. I’m kind of disappointed in coming here because now my perception of this place changed and now it’s just a restaurant amongst others selling chicken sandwiches. I guess with all the awesome cafes and mom & pop shops around the city, these huge chains just lack flavor and originality. I will go back to get a shake but only if I’m in the area. I won’t travel for it.

This review will probably get me some flack from my southern friends, but Chic-fil-a is not all it’s cracked up to be. I never had one where I grew up, and I had never been to one before now, but I felt I needed to try NYC’s first location. Especially once it was reported that lines stretched around the block for days… We went on a Friday night when starving and in the area, and thought why not? Lines were only about 20 ppl long, and we got through it in 5 minutes. Menu is pretty basic… We ordered a chicken sandwich meal and a chicken sandwich deluxe meal. Food came out in 3 minutes, hot and ready to go. Staff was friendly, even gave us extra honey mustard for the fries without backlash. So far so good. We went out to Herald Square and started eating. There was nothing wrong with the sandwiches per se, but there was nothing that great about them either. Chicken was moist and tender with a thin fried exterior, but a bit on the bland side. The bun was the softest white bread you have ever seen, disintegrating upon any hand pressure. The regular sandwich has only a pickle, and the«deluxe» had tomato, lettuce and other standard toppings. Fries were greasy, floppy, waffle type, not very good, and not very memorable. In a world where Chic-Fil-A competes with McD’s and BK, I can see them winning slightly with a barely-above-average chicken sandwich, but without the Southern childhood nostalgia to help me push through the mediocrity, Chic-Fil-A gets a solid 2 stars.

Yummy! I’m a fan of their chicken sandwiches. I got the #2 meal when I came here and the sandwich was hard to eat all at once, but oh so delicious. Chick-fil-A definitely knows how to cook their chicken right. There’s seating upstairs or you can take it to go. Oh, and here’s the best part, the sandwiches actually look like the pictures! You get what you see, not like McDonald’s where you get a pancake version of whatever sandwich you ordered.

Teared up waiting in line for the first time. I could just smell the glorious whiff of chicken and waffle fries protruding out of those doors. The service is really fast, there are waiters who take your order in line so you don’t have to wait to order in front of the register. There are two floors, the second floor seats roughly 80 people so bring your families folks. The original chicken sandwich was so juicy and tender I didn’t want to finish it because it would’ve depressed me. The waffle fries tasted weren’t very oily at all which is a plus because most waffle fries just taste really greasy, this is the complete opposite. You can get free refills on the second floor(I abuse the sweet tea) and there are servers walking around making sure you’re okay. I live in Queens so it makes me sad that I have to venture out to the city in order to sink my teeth onto some Chick-fil-a. Hopefully more chains will open up from the tri-state area someday but for now… this Chick-fil-a will own my bank account.

Finally got to try chick Fil a out. They were closed for a short time due to inspection violations on Christmas Eve 2015. Hopefully everything’s been corrected since they’re reopened again. This review is for the sandwich only. The chicken is pretty juicy but it was way too salty. Not too surprising since it’s fast food. It’s more of a 3.5 stars review. If it was less salty, then the 4 stars is justified.

This was my first visit to Chick-fil-A, any Chick-fil-A. I had already passed by several times in the past and was deterred by the long lines every time. This time, the line did not look as long and it seemed like everybody was working fast. Plus they were friendly. We ordered: Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich — not bad. I would call this a typical chicken sandwich. I like that they don’t use shredded lettuce. I wish the cheese was melted. The chicken was a little dry. Fast food chicken sandwiches are usually a little dry, but I was hoping it wouldn’t be, because chicken is supposed to be their specialty. Chick-fil-A Nuggets — pretty good. Seasoning was good. Other than that, they are rather expensive for a handful of small chicken nuggets. It’s about $ 1/nugget. Waffle Fries — I was looking forward to these, but they were too soggy. Maybe there was still too much moisture in the potato prying to cooking. Or it wasn’t fried long enough, or they were left out a little too long and softened up. I don’t know. Pretty unsatisfying fries. The plus is they operate the line with a very efficient system. They will come around and hand you menus as you enter and take your order and give you a color-coded thing that determines the line you end up in. So you do need to know what you want to order before you get to the front of the line. This kind of tripped up the person in front of us, who seemed to be adding to their order, which caused us to wait a while at the front of the line. Glad I tried Chick-fil-A out of curiosity, but the prices are rather high for fast food. It doesn’t quite feel like a fast-casual place either. Not very enticed to revisit.

When this location opened a few months ago, mild pandemonium broke out. Yes, there was always that little location hidden in an NYU dining hall, but this is the real deal. Why such excitement over a chicken shop? Anyone who’s a Southerner, or who has spent any time living below the Mason Dixon Line, knows a thing or two about Chick-fil-A. It’s one of the best fast food chains in all the land, with its quality chicken(no mystery meat here), perfect waffle fries and wide assortment of dipping sauces. The spicy chicken sandwich and nugget meals are my favorites. Make sure you have at least three sauces for dipping. I’d go for the Polynesian, BBQ and Chick-fil-A sauce. The Buttermilk Ranch is pretty good, too. You can view the full list of sauces here: The biscuits and egg sandwiches served during breakfast hours also best any of its fast food competitors, including Wendy’s. So basically, you can pig out here any time of the day… except for Sunday, ya’ll know Chick-fil-A don’t play that. Note: Don’t let the long lines fool you; the location must have hired very expensive logistics management experts to design the queue because it moves astonishingly fast. Team members take your order via tablet as you move up and they give you a colored plastic tag that corresponds with certain cash registers. Boom.

I’m a hypocrite. I preach about why we shouldn’t eat at chain restaurants and yet, I ate here. My hesitation and further hypocrisy was confounded by their political stance with the LBGT community. Curiosity and need to taste it just once, outweighed the ethos I subscribe to… Yes, I’m a douche. I got the spicy chicken combo. First off, the waffle fries were just, ok and don’t live up to the hype; it’s mos def not a game changer. The sandwich, however, is good, but in the fast food sense. It’s too salty for my taste and not at all spicy, but it is juicy, crispy and the soft, sweet, bun was a nice surprise. The sweet tea is too sweet. The price was decent– just under 10 bones. The lines look long, but they are very efficient. I stood a half block away, but got my combo in 12 min. The dining area upstairs is clean. The workers are friendly, for now. Would I come back? Probably not. But, if you don’t subscribe to what I believe in, you probably won’t be disappointed, if you’re into these kind of flavors.

Waited about 30 minutes online, but I must say it moved fast and once you get inside it’s pretty quick. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries and sweet tea. The chicken was a good size and the right amount of spicy. Fries were good too. Not the best meal I’ve ever had but great for fast food standards. I would go back, but not with a 30 minute wait.

Ahhhhhh so the long awaited fast food chain finally opened its doors in NYC. If you were one of the people anticipating this, you know that there was a ridiculous line out the door the first weeks it opened. I wouldn’t fault you for jumping in that line. We, however waited til it’s died down. Best chicken sandwich? I’d say it’s up there in the list. The couple of times we’ve tried it has been consistent. Chicken is moist and tender with the right amount of crispness. We’ve tried the original, spicy and deluxe. I’m kind of leaning towards the deluxe sandwich since I like some lettuce tomatoes and pickles in my sandwich. The cheese that came with it, you can barely taste. Waffle fries is something different. Never soggy always crispy. It’s fast food and they’re pretty quick and service is polite.

Chik Fil A NY Manhattan Midtown West 3pm Saturday 28th November 2015 Three Stars On this lightly raining day, Chik-Fil-a had a relatively short line. I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe with a small waffle fry($ 8). They get your name and give you a buzzer while you wait for your food. Five minutes later, I got my food. I went upstairs but there were no seats. The food was definitely sitting under heat lamps for a while. The sandwich was luke warm, the cheese had a bit of sweat. The chicken was moist, high quality white meat. The coating was crispy and well seasoned. The iceberg lettuce was a bit tired. The tomato was standard for New York. The pickles were good but not evenly distributed. The waffle fries were crispy and starchy but no seasoning. I still enjoyed my meal.

This was the first time I tried this place out. Though, I had only had this once, I will try other food from here and re-evaluate my review. I had the plain chicken sandwich. It was a simple chicken patty with bread. No toppings, no mayo, no veggies. It was plain, dry and wayyyyyy too salty! I couldnt eat more than half of that sandwich. It’s unfortunate that this wasn’t as good as people hyped it up to be. Also, controversy following a series of public comments made in June 2012 by chief operating officer Dan T. Cathy opposing same-sex marriage… a lot are still boycotting the place. Eh… I’d give them another chance… but I wouldnt go running back there

The King of fast food has arrived and is making a huge splash on New York City. For those folks down South Chik-fil-a is a regular staple around town. For us New Yorkers this is a new treat. My family lives in South Carolina and I am sure to frequent Chik-fil-a every time Im down there. When I heard that it was coming to NYC i was excited. Chik-fil-a is known for good chicken and Southern hospitality and that is exactly what you will receive when you come here. Friendly service is not always easy to come by in NYC and Im glad they brought those values up North. Electronic trash cans that are hands free and employees walking around with hand towels and mints. McDonalds just a mere two blocks away better step their game up. Due to religious reasons Chik-fil-a is closed on Sundays which is a nice bonus for the employees whether you go to church or not. I will certainly be frequenting this place often. I wouldn’t dare come near here during lunch time hours Monday thru Friday as Im sure the lines are the most insane at that time. I highly recommend and I wish them much success! Oh yea and no matter what you get here you HAVE to get the Chik-fil-a dipping sauce!!! Amazing!!!
