This was my second visit to Chico’s, the first was unsuccessful – I felt that the store was too small and too crowded. I gave Chico’s a second chance because a couple of friends have had such success with on-line shopping. I followed their lead and bought a pair of pants on-line, but I was disappointed when they arrived. I did not like the color or the fit. I went to Chico’s on 3rd Ave for a second time to return the pants. This time I was greeted and assisted by sales associate Arniece. She was very attentive and helped me find just the right color and fit. She also assisted in helping me build an outfit that is a little dressy and very faltering.

This is such a great store. Somehow, I go into look and walk out with several new outfits. What’s worse, its my doing. No pressure from any of the ladies who work there(though Arnaliese is fabulous!). If your size is not out, no problem running down to stockroom. No one is doing me a favor. I can buy work and weekend clothes, without having to go to the tailor after. Huge savings there. Talk about savings, love when they have sales and if you need a size and they don’t have it… no problem, they’ll check on of their other stores, have it sent to you(at no extra fee) Though I never returned anything, noticed no one walks the other way if you walk in to say«I have a return»). Used to shop at high end 5th Avenue store, clothes did not wear well and store did not stand behind their product. Best thing to happen to me. Decided next time I go into this store, need to leave credit card home!

Aimed at ladies of a certain age, Chico’s fashions veer from the wearable(read: relatively modest, quality fabrics and tailoring) to the garish(read: animal prints, excessive embellishment, chunky jewelry). It’s like the Talbots having a midlife crisis. Prices are on the high side, but diehard fans of the chain know to watch for sales and are showered with enough rewards to keep things reasonable. This location is small and can feel a little cramped, but it still seems well stocked. The sales staff is outgoing, solicitous, and highly professional. They actually seem enthusiastic about keeping track of my taste and sizes. Chico’s has its own size system(ranging from 0 to 3), which takes some getting used to. The idea that I wear a size 2 is so absurd that I might come back just for the entertainment value.

I’m a huge fan of Chico’s in general and this store particularly. My first trip was when I had to return shirts purchased for me as a gift. I didn’t have a receipt and didn’t know what they’d be able to do, if anything. Luckily I had the name of the purchaser and she too is a passport holder so they were able to look up the purchase. The cashier held my shirts while I browsed for color/size and was able to essentially do a straight swap. Because I changed a long-sleeved shirt for a short-sleeved I actually ended up with $ 1 credit, easy to spend on a future trip. Staff here at this Chico’s is awesome. Only complaint is the selection but that’s just a function of the size of the store rather than the store itself.

Beautiful Asian-inspired silk jackets. Great-fitting Tees. Their Travelers Collection is the best! Just roll it up and stick it in the suitcase — it NEVER wrinkles! Excellent prices with many sales. After one has spent $ 500 in any of their stores and/or online, one becomes a «Preferred Customer» and automatically gets a 5% discount on everything forever after, and receives a coupon every month for either 50%-off or $ 25 off. So, I feel that I SHOULD buy something! I’d be a fool not to.
