Clean, great at expediting orders during high volume times, always polite staff. What more is there to say? Only some assemblers are a little rough when handling bowls and tacos during the rush of lunch time.

I always like to give new things a chance and after hearing how most of my friends love Chipotle, I gave it a try. The food was good, but the service was horrendous! The cashier had a mean attitude and the manager was not great either. I would go to Chipotle again, but not this one!

Had a really unpleasant experience at this Chipotle this Sunday evening. In the middle of my order, they informed me that they were completely out of chicken. The staffers were unapologetic, and simply stated that the wait for chicken will be 20 – 25 minutes. As my meal was already half-way prepared, I was left with no other option than to get a more expensive meat which I hadn’t intended paying for. When I approached the cashier, I explained that I was a little peeved that I had to pay for the more expensive meat when I was never informed they were out of chicken. I was met with a nasty attitude as the cashier explained she didn’t know what I was talking about, and that there was nothing she could do. I explained to her that one time at a Chipotle location on 8th and Broadway, a similar experience happened when they ran out of meat, except I was met with very sincere apologies from the team and an offer for a free burrito next time I come in! She looked at my blankly, continued to say she didn’t understand what I was talking about, and waited for my payment for premium meat burrito I hadn’t intended on paying for. Really disappointing as I have always had great experiences at Chipotle, and this one has just left a sour taste in my mouth that I can’t shake. I seriously suggest you walk a few blocks north to Dos Torros on 6th Ave and West 4th where there is great quality food and you are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and great customer service.

I’m leaving an unconventional review for a Chipotle. I come not to talk about guac or getting day drunk off their margaritas or my love for barbacoa but for THIS particular Chipotle’s secret thing. Some friends and I were famished from dancing and decided to trek over to Chipotle because you pretty much always know what you’re getting when you walk into any Chipotle: a no frills, industrial size serving of rice /beans /more cheese if you smile burrito /bowl /taco. Guaranteed itis with every order. No big deal, right? Wrong. We arrived pretty much close to closing so there were only one or two patrons left [read: no line]. The staff was winding down but were still courteous and pleasant as ever. The radio buzzing the usual radio stuff. As soon as it hit 11, the phantom DJ employee hit the bachata and salsa and our little spot transformed into a private dance party. Song after song after song, employees and patrons were putting in WORK. I would have never guessed this little joint had it in them. Moral of the story: don’t sleep on these little ‘Mexican Grills’ … I want to shout out the entire staff … or should I say dance crew at this 200 Varick Street Chipotle.

Seems to be a standard-issue Chipotle, no more no less. I feel like the prices for a burrito keep creeping up, but what can you do? Sometimes you just need a big burrito with everything on it and don’t want to risk getting food poisoning from a food truck. I know a lot of people mention the line; there usually is one at lunch time. I actually come here most often after work, when there is almost no line(or a very short one). The one thing that bugs me is that you can tell people here your ingredients very slowly and only one ahead of time and still be asked to repeat them.

Oh my God. What can I say. Chipotle is my favorite part of the work day. Actually, everyday. The Barbaoca burrito bowl is my go to. It’s insanely addictive and delicious. Not to mention the guacamole is great. There’s usually a line, so come when you a have some time to spare.

I love the idea of Chipotle. They’re a solid option if you’re vegan or vegetarian, but unfortunately this place doesn’t take enough care, or show enough sensitivity in keeping things separated — at least at this location. Twice, I’ve come across a piece of pork in my sofritas and sour cream drips in the hot sauce container. This is really disconcerting if, for years, you’ve made an effort to avoid eating meat and dairy. And you don’t have to be vegan to want things separated. You might have a serious food allergy, lactose intolerance, or for religious reasons, you may not want pork mixed in with your other food selections. If this place would just take a few more precautions in keeping everything separated, I would give it 5 stars, but too many bad experiences have forced me to not eat here again.

I was lucky enough today to stop by when there was no line(woohoo!!) and was greeted warmly by the workers behind the counter. The man who made my burrito was so nice and personable, as was the cashier who rang me up. I’ve never had such a kind and friendly experience at any Chipotle. 5 stars for the awesome service, thank you!

Young girl cashier likes to throw change at you without a second thought. It was not busy during the time yet she had a snappy attitude. Next time I get caught up with her again I’ll be sure to pay for my burrito bowl in the same manner.

It’s your run of the mill Chipotle. Good portions in this location. Lines were short around 4pm.

I work right next to this Chipotle, literally a couple blocks away. So I find myself coming here often. The workers here are friendly and never give you a hard time. I must have been here at least 100 times and yet to receive a lashing from them. Smile at them and they’ll smile right back! The food tastes the same as it does at every other single Chipotle location on the planet. Which means it’s pretty damn amazing. I always love to load up on a steak burrito with all the essentials and this place never disappoints. Do NOT come here at 12pm unless you want to be miserable. The line becomes pretty epic. For everyone that works in this area, this seems to be the go-to lunch spot. The other lunch locations nearby, like Subway, Getting Hungry, McDonalds, etc… are unscathed by the wrath of the lunch hour, for all those who want lunch come to this Chipotle. Understandingly so though!

Oh my, I have never been disappointed by any chipotle outlet. really. they are the main reason i love mexican food now, all i want is cilantro and lemon juice in my food, each and every time. i just can’t explain what happens when the tastes explode in my mouth, but it’s memorable.

Not all Chipotle’s are created equal. This place never seems to be as busy as other locations and I can tell why: — meats taste more bland from poor seasoning — vegetables often have an oft color, probably because they’ve been sitting there too long — surly employees that suddenly turn more surly when you interrupt their conversation, cashier(sorry, no one forced you to wear those jorts) was particularly nasty flicking my bag towards me after swiping my card… if you don’t like your job, go do something else I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and this has been a lazy option for a healthy, if unexciting dinner, but I will NEVER go back. Why bother when there’s a Dos Toros a couple blocks away,

I can remember the first time I ever tasted Chipotle. I was initiated by a friend at a new Chipotle that opened up in Baltimore. She watched as I took the first bite of the burrito. As I looked up to the sky to see clouds part, revealing the anointing white light of the heavens, a glow overcame my face and I knew how it felt to be loved by a higher power. When at a base level, all Chipotle is already so, so awesome, and you love the food so, so much, and you go to sleep at night and dream of burrito bowls, what more can you say about one particular location over another? This one has always been one of my favorites because I’ve worked near it for years. During lunch time, the line is so long that it wraps around almost the entire inside, and yet you’re out the door in like 10 minutes. How do they achieve this? Is there a burrito academy or a boot camp? It’s just magical. In the years that I’ve come here, I’ve never had anything taste bad, come out«wrong,» and amazingly, no one behind the counter or register has EVER been rude to me. For New York City, that is damn near a miracle. One time, I ordered chips, and came home to realize they weren’t in the bag. When I told them the next day, even though I didn’t have my receipt with me, they gave me chips for free. That’s just how they roll at Chipotle.(Get it? Cause they roll at Chipotle?) P. S. Am I the only person who doesn’t love carnitas? I don’t really get why – wait. Don’t tell Chipotle I never said that. You know I love carnitas. I’ll never leave you boo.

I wanted to find something that was somewhat healthy and quick to eat and it was around 5:00p and if you know the area most of the lunch places are closed or were closing. When I first saw the place I have to admit it wasn’t my first choice. Spent 5 minutes walking around before deciding to eat here. I’m glad that I did their rice bowls are great you can put in what ever you want. They offer white rice or brown with chicken, beef etc. Very delicious, filling and the price was decent. I would definitely eat here again.

This Chipotle is located two doors down from my work. It’s busy hours are 11:30 — 1:30, the line snakes around into the dining area. Those times I’d avoid, but late nights at the office, who can say«no» to the hearty love of a Chipotle burrito? Consistent across the board, the workers are always friendly and happy to help you. I really like the service and they have a lot of seating here.

OMGCHIPOTLE! It was my first time ever coming here, and let me just say I love it! The food is amazing, and the choices are so difficult. There was a rather cute guy with a million dollar smile behind the counter and I entrusted him the luxury of making my chicken tacos. For $ 14 bucks I had three humongous tacos, chips and guacamole and a small soda(which looked like a medium). Quick service, lovely atmosphere and hot guys — what’s not to love? The bathroom… it was reminiscent of a gas station bathroom. Food gets 4 stars. Hot guy gets 5 stars. Bathroom gets none.

Not all Chipotle’s are created equal. I love the Chipotle back at school because it’s good, fast, and relatively cheap. Unfortunately, the only similar characteristic about this branch is that it’s relatively fast. The lunch line was out the door, but they still managed. My biggest concern was the quality of ingredients. I know Chipotle prides themselves on this, but sadly, the tomatoes and corn in the salsas were unripe and hard to eat. Also, while this is a pro for me, most people generally don’t like their steak raw, which is what I was eating. The centers of the steak were still cold, darkish red/brown, and uncooked. The meat also had a lot more fibers than usual and was tough to get through. Couple other notes: because the line is so long, they go fast, meaning know what you want right away. I have a system I like to use at school to try and get the most for my money: had no time to implement it here. Also, it’s more expensive! My burrito bowl was a whole two more dollars. While I’m still new to the area and scoping out a good lunch place, I probably won’t be back soon unless I’m dying from hunger(which is nearly impossible due to the number of lunch places/carts in the area.

Regardless of it’s lack of authenticity, I enjoy the occasional Chipotle burrito bowl but this location by far is the biggest hot mess of the bunch. I’d honestly say 2.5 stars but I’m rounding up for the sake of Chipotle still being fairly delicious. The line is ridiculous at the lunch hour, I am pretty certain that this must be the most popular place on Varick St. in the South Village to grab food during the week. the line was around the entire restaurant last time I was there. Although it doesn’t sound like it, I have a ton of patience, so as long as I’m prepared for a crazy line I don’t mind but when I got up to the kitchen I lost some of it. The amount of meat and toppings that I got in the bowl were significantly less than any other Chipotle location I’ve ever been to but there were so many people and everything was so hectic it was tough to request more food without holding up the line. The bowl was flying down the preparation belt at lightning speed. So anyway, definitely didn’t get my money’s worth of beef but it was still hot and tasty. The place itself is far too small for the amount of people they have coming in and out, but it’s still larger than most Chipotles. Another drawback, if you are staying a while just know the bathrooms need to be unlocked by staff, which is another big inconvenience because they are so busy they don’t have time to stop and realize you’re standing there looking to use the bathroom. Conclusion — only come to this location out of complete desperation… as in you are in the South Village, about to die, don’t want to spend $ 20 on mediocre food truck food and need to indulge in a moderately sized heap of guacamole absolutely/immediately.

It’s a Mexican fast food chain owned by McDonald’s but without the Mickey D prices. It’s expensive, even by New York standards. If you go between Noon-2PM, Monday-Friday expect a LONG line, but don’t be deterred, it moves very quickly, they have an assembly line style down and they get you in and out. Problem with that? They don’t always hear what you’re asking for(or care) so the Burrito bowl you just paid $ 12 for isn’t actually what your heart desired… well close enough in their book! Not a lot of non-deli food options in the area so if you’re looking for something outside the box, this is one of the only choices. And they do serve beer and margaritas, surprisingly enough their margaritas are actually quite good! Regular on the rocks only.
