I was referred to Christy Allen by a friend who had acupuncture treatments and were VERY impressed with her highly-​trained and Western approach to the method.
I’ve been suffering from Lyme disease and Babesia (both tick-​borne infections) which make joints and muscles very sore & knotted and cause flash fevers and tinnitus as well. I’m seeing a Lyme specialist in CT and an internist – both suggested that acupuncture could really help me. I was pretty skeptical – and wrong.

For me, Christy suggested several release points for the fevers and related issues, and then set out to release the cramping muscles that have been nagging me for years. This type of treatment is really like a deep-​tissue massage but without all the pressure and pounding! I felt immediate release, and most importantly, when I woke up the next morning – no tinnitus!
It has since come back as my neck and shoulder muscles have retightened, but a second treatment had a similar effect.
I’m not crazy about the whole needle thing, but she is gentle, confident and professional which frankly makes me feel ok with her putting needles in all kinds of places my self-​preservation instinct tells me I shouldn’t be!
Christy is also a massage therapist and yoga instructor – her treatments are not «fluff and buff» style cosmetic massage, they’re substantial and therapeutic. I’ve already recommended her to some friends.
