So I’m a big cigar head but just the other day I was very disappointed in the overpriced cigar that I had to purchase at this spot. I usually pay no more than $ 6 for a acid blondie in Midtown, well these guys charge me 10 dollars I was not happy at all.

it was decent, it was my wife’s birthday, and we jokingly mentioned getting a discount about 3 times, and the guy just totally ignored us. Other cigar buisnesses would have been nicer to give a small birthday discount or something! Plus because of the location of the cigar shop, the prices were too high. Cheapest cigar was about $ 11 for something I can usually get for $ 6. Not impressed

Nice large selections! Finally I found a cigar shop which has COHIBA cigarillo! And this shop even had 2 types of rillos from Cohiba. The guy helped me here was really attentive and super kind, and the shop was spacious and clean. Even the air was fresh! I only smoke cigars for once or twice a year just for adding some fun to nice full-​bodied wines, so I am just not a cigar professional, but I will definitely return to this shop and will recommend to my friends.

I was previously going to give this place 5 stars because I had a very good experience with the sales person, but then I had an experience with the manager. I went to several cigar stores looking for a lighter, and he was the only one to engage in showing me several, explaining the differences, and even lighting them. I purchased one for $ 50, which was more than I wanted to spend but I appreciated the service. He even topped off the butane fluid.
The next day, before even smoking a cigar with it, I pulled it out and noticed the cigar punch which is hinged to the bottom hung loosely instead of remaining rigidly open or closed. Then it simply dropped off. It fits back into place but is always loose. After trying for an hour with youtube tutorials to get it to light I took it back to Cigarville. The same sales person was there and apparently the butane reservoir was completely empty instead of completely full. Perhaps he drained it when he attempted to fill it, I don’t know, but he filled it half way for no charge and I was happy with that. He couldn’t fix the hinge but told me to come back in the evening because the store manager could fix the hinged cigar punch. I said ok.
Later that night I came back and spoke to the manager, who looked at the lighter and said a spring had fallen out (I think it is a magnet and he was guessing). He assured me he would fix it, and went over to a compartment and looked for springs. Not finding one he returned, changed his stance to calling me a liar, and finished with «these things happen, you have to understand my position…», and refused to do anything about the lighter, which has been purchased for $ 50 just a couple of days ago and had not been used once.
Now the lighter is failing to operate correctly as well. It required at least five presses of the spark switch to ignite the flame. This place sells nothing but junk and they don’t stand behind their products, and the customer service is non-​existent after you give them your hard-​earned money. Very regretful that I chose this place.
And by the way, I’m just an average guy who wanted to go to the small business instead of Amazon, and I just wanted to have something nice. I never get anything nice for myself and this was my one time to spend a little money of myself instead of getting a cheap plastic lighter from CVS, and the thing is junk.

Bought a lighter for 60 bucks, a week later it wouldn’t hold flame. Wouldn’t exchange. Tried telling me it’s clogged because of something I did (like lit my cigarette over it and let ashes fall in there)

When it comes to variety, this upscale head shop does the trick. It’s spacious and gives the impression of a larger selection of shisha, hookahs, papers, and tobacco as a result. Actually, that’s not the case (on exception of their jumbo walk-​in humidor in the back). You can go to any other head shop downtown and realize that the quantity of shisha, hookahs, papers, and tobacco is nearly equal to Cigarville’s stock.
On top of that, the guys here will charge you 25% extra on some of their products. For example, I bought a Mya hookah (an Egyptian brand which is used in restaurants/​lounges where hookahs are a side-​show product) for 80 $, when it can actually be priced at 40 – 60 $ in the head shops at St. Marks and/​or Steinway. Maybe the extra cash is needed to fund the extravagant humidor? Maybe it would be a satisfying price if they gave me twenty bucks worth of free shisha and coals to go with it? Maybe I could spend less for the same thing?
On the other hand, they do have some rare goods that you can only find in the dustier domains of the world, especially when it comes to once-​popular cigarette brands. They have Lucky Strikes for your grandpa who served in Vietnam, jumbo cans (12 fl. oz.) of zippo fluid for your pyromaniac brother, and Dunhill cigarettes for your writer-​wannabe sister. This headshop is a specialized store with owners that dig to find the smoker’s paraphernalia that you can’t find in the cheaper headshops. If your eye catches something in here, I suggest you search the other headshops first for a cheaper deal for the same product.

This place is very clean and organized. Really spacious and they have pretty much everything you could ask for. As for specific brands I don’t know a lot, but they have a good selection of e-​cigs from what I saw. Didn’t really pay attention to bowls or other things but they have a big display case. They also carry incense and candles that eliminate smoke odor. They people are friendly and ask if you need help but don’t bother you.

I was really shocked. Expected a typical smoke shop that you find in the village with all sorts of pot paraphernalia, which honestly this place has but it’s also super spacious with a really huge humidor room in the back. Honestly, one of the biggest rooms I’ve ever been to and I came just to buy some cigars. The guy who helped me seemed to know his cigars or at least the ones that they sell. Only complaint I had were the prices. The cigars are really expensive here. But if you’re looking for a cigar come on by.

This is the best place to buy anything smoking related in NYC. THE BEST. I wouldn’t lie to you, stranger. I really can’t express how happy I am to have found this place. They sell every thing from hookahs to «non-​traditional tobacco products» and cigars.
The customer service is out of this world. They didn’t try to sell me the most expensive products, just what I asked for or what they genuinely preferred. Excellent. The guys who run this shop are super friendly and considerate. They even cut my cigar for me!
Days later, I’m enjoying the best cigar I’ve had in awhile, thanks to Cigarville. Props.

I’m a smoking neophyte with no prior experience destroying my body with cancerous air (unless you consider BBQ as eating smoke then I am doomed!). I was dropped off around the area and this place caught my eye. I was with a friend who quit smoking and from time to time enjoys a cigar. The store is huge as mentioned by Phil H. There was only 1 person shopping beside us. I told the guy upfront that I’m a newbie and he led us to the humidor. He nicely told us that we have to leave our bottle of water outside the moist room but we could bring our bags in with us. So, I don’t think they are worried about you stealing tobacco sticks as mentioned by Phil H. but he is more worried about some shumck ruining the temperature/​humidity sensitive room. Okay okay I’d be worried about people stealing too. These cancer sticks are expensive!
The guy was very helpful in asking me which brands to start off with and the duration of the smoking I’d expect to smoke. I thought it was nice of him to ask and consider the time because I’d hate to smoke a 30 minute stud but only enjoy it for 10 minutes.
I’d would definitely come back to get more ‘information’

Walked in here today to check out this cigar store and was pretty impressed. Well –partially.
The store itself is large, clean, organized, and offers a terrific selection of smoking supplies and apparatus. Plenty of pipes, bongs, humidors, accessories, and hookahs. The hookahs were super nice looking and displayed right in the middle of the floor. They also have a large walk in humidor with a diverse selection of cigars to choose from.
So why only a two star «meh» rating? I was the only customer in the shop. Said hello to the guy behind the counter and told him I was just checking out the place. I walked into the humidor and immediately behind me followed another guy who worked there, and he asked me if I needed any help. I said no thanks, and continued to check out the cigars. Instead of leaving me alone this dude stood a few feet behind me the whole time watching everything I did, and he followed my every move. I felt like he was spying on me as if I were a criminal. If I moved over a few feet he moved with me. It was unnerving and an uncomfortable way to be treated while shopping. I felt his stare in the back of my head. After a few minutes I left because it was actually kind of insulting. I have shopped at other cigar stores around the city and never had this experience.
Word of advice — If you are that worried about people stealing from you then install a camera and monitor it from behind the front desk. If someone tells you politely they don’t need help move away and let them shop without hawking over them — and that includes in the humidor.

Got some gifts for friends their today. The reps and i think it was the owner who was very helpful and knowledgeable! Super friendly, reasonable prices and helpful staff. Def a great place for smokes!

Do this place a favor: go to a good tobacco shop (JR, Barclay Rex) and price your favorite cheroot or pipe tobacco. Then stop at Cigarville and ask how much they charge for the very same item — be prepared to hear a number 20−70% higher than the other. Tell the salesman, politely but pointedly, exactly what you will be paying at the other shop. You may as well wait for his response before you turn and leave the store
A shame, too, since it’s a handy location and the selection isn’t bad. I gave it another star because it sort of makes for ok window-​shopping, at least until they start pestering you.

One of the best cigar/​smoke shops in the city! The workers are very nice and know everything about the products they sell and explain it very clearly. The shop is very luxurious and well worth the money. Unlike some other shops, their products are not of cheap material. Would definitely recommend this to people.
