Back in 1984 Ron started City Express Pest Control out of a small basement office in Staten Island. He started out with one small account and built City Express Pest Control to over 2000 satisfied customers. City Express Pest Control is a family owned and operated business. Ron’s Daughter runs the back office & his son manages the team of technicians and manages the field work. City Express Pest Control operates offices in New York & New Jersey and will be branching out to Pennsyvaina in the fall. Ron’s philosiphy is simple, treat all customers as if it was his first, be honest, and fair because they are what made City Express Pest Control what it is today.

These guys are amazing. I am squeamish and new to NY so when I saw 2 mice in my apartment on a Saturday morning I had a total meltdown. I tried 2 different places that claimed to be «24 hours» but neither had anyone available and both were kind of rude. Then I found City Express and not only were they kind/​warm on the phone but their exterminator Steve showed up within an hour and was extremely professional and efficient. I felt totally taken care of and honestly if he hadn’t helped me so quickly I would have probably had to sleep at a friend’s place until Monday, which was the soonest my super could send someone. These guys are pros and left my apartment spotless and perfectly sealed up. They also checked in with me after the service to make sure I was happy. Bonus for the ladies: Steve is cute. A+ experience!

I heard some noises at the middle of the night. I recently moved to the city. So I called a few exterminators and the only one who picked up was city express. They were very knowledgeable and let me know that it sounded like I had a rodent problem. A city express technician arrived shortly. He inspected the whole apt, found a hole were the rat came from sealed it up & caught the rat. They explained every part of there procedure. I haven’t had a problem since, thanks City Express for the great service!

I had been in contact with the owner of this company for several days. I had a bad mouse problem and needed service, but was trying to get my management company to pay. Finally, I caved in and hired them. I had given my credit card and was told I could run it when the job was done or when the tech arrived. I also heard from the owner that there wasn’t any tax. Now maybe I’m supposed to know that taxes are immediately charged with credit card transactions, but I didn’t and the owner didn’t tell me. My tech, Steve, who seemed like a nice guy, virtually ran out the door (to say he had to check his truck for tickets) when I was taking issue with his boss. The boss refused to actually speak with me, but texted me that his tech had to go. But Steve left me high and dry ever AFTER I said that I WOULD PAY THE TAXES! I got into an unfortunate rant with the owner’s voicemail because he refuses to pick up his phone except to text. Steve had only been here a few minutes and could’ve finished the job, especially after I said «I’ll pay the taxes!» more than once. I don’t get it at all. I mean I was pissed and I got up at 6:00 am for this. Steve was scheduled for 7:00 am but he called at 7:15 to say he was on the way. He showed up late and I was guaranteed an hour of service. I was also willing to pay and then Steve left like a bat out of hell. Obviously another job came in. The owner said I could reschedule, but why would I? I was given incorrect info, even then I was willing to pay, but the tech ran out the door. The whole experience is very bad for business!

Very pleased with my experience with City Express! The owner, Ron, was incredibly responsive and pledged to get someone out to my apt. as soon as possible — which he did. There was no guessing about rates for my rodent inspection and proofing or getting hosed once the tech showed up. That sort of transparency is very appreciated. He offered me 1 reasonable price that was incredibly affordable compared to his competition who quoted a rate of $ 550 for the first 2 hours. When Rich (the technician) showed up, he was polite, thorough, and explained everything perfectly. Though I didn’t actually have any new visitors (thank goodness), peace of mind is priceless!

We had an ongoing mouse issue in our first floor Hoboken apartment for about 2 months. The condo building we live in has an exterminator come quarterly, who would throw down traps and poison– which did nothing for the ultimate problem.
I called City Express, they gave me a quote over the phone, and we set up an appointment for that coming weekend. The guy who came did an extremely thorough job– he didn’t seem rushed, pulled out every appliance, looked in every crevice. Found the entrance points and filled them with copper mesh so they wouldn’t eat through. He also took the time to explain how to prevent future problems and how to watch for signs of mice returning.
It has been two months into winter and we have been mouse-​free. I can finally stop walking on eggshells because of my mouse-​phobia :) Thanks again to City Express for doing such a thorough job.

Good for condos I guess, but not for detached homes. Was referred by a friend. They did not inspect exterior portion of home for mice entrances and seal it off nor did they come back for a follow up (as they missed patching up holes in my living room).

City Express just finished exterminating and mice proofing our apartment in the West Village right around the corner from Murray’s Cheese Shop (Mice HQ in NYC). They did a brilliant job and were extremely thorough. Went around our apartment twice and proofed every single room, closet, corner, nook & cranny. Pulled out all the appliances and base boards to ensure everything was proofed professionally.
Highly recommend their service. They also came in a moment’s notice which was also VERY MUCH appreciated considering we had seen 4 mice playing soccer with a Tortilla chip the night before. We called them at 11pm on Monday evening and by 7am Tuesday morning they were mice proofing our apartment. The other agency we had called said they couldn’t come out for 7 days which clearly was unacceptable.
Thanks again City Express! I definitely plan on recommending your service to others.

I had a mice issue in my apartment and called City Express to help me resolve my troubles. The dispatcher was extremely friendly and helpufl and offered same day service.
The tech. arrived not more than 3 hours after my call and was great! Patched all the entry points, laid down bait stations and set down glue traps. He even encouraged me to follow-​up with them if I saw any additional evidence of mice. And, of course, the price was great!
I highly recommend these guys and will definitely use them again should I have another pest problem (roaches, mice, etc.).

I had a problem with mice due to construction in the street around my apartment. I called after hours and the technician arrived in an hour. To reserve the technician, they ask for your credit card number, and you have to pay by check. The technician Rich was great. I told my super the mice were coming in from under the stove and from a hole in my pantry closet. The super told me moving the stove would be a big job and they’d have to tear down my counter. Rich pulled the stove out and filled the holes, 1−2−3. He went around the whole apartment to find entry ways like radiators and filled holes and set up glue traps and bait traps. He explained everything he did. And he’s very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend City Express!

After spotting a mouse in my apartment, I called City Express on a Monday night at around 9:00. My technician, Steve, arrived about an hour later and spent close to two hours thoroughly inspecting every inch of my studio apartment. He sealed up all possible access points and patiently answered all of my questions. He was very professional and made me feel like this problem would be resolved quickly. Once he finished going through the apartment, he laid out bait stations and traps, and took me on a tour through the apartment to explain the work he had done. Two weeks later, I am thrilled to say that I have not seen a single mouse since that night! I would highly recommend Steve, as I truly believe his expert attention to this situation nipped the problem in the bud.

The crazy heat wave brought out a SWARM of ants in my garden apartment. INSIDE and at 9pm on a Saturday night in July.
It was seriously a Twilight Zone experience, there were thousands of them, winged and not winged. It was overwhelming and a bit scary.
I called around to a few exterminators, skeptical and wary as I have dogs and am not a fan of toxins in the household.
Finally, I got a call back from a guy named Steve, from City Express. He was attentive and caring and immediatly assuaged my fear of the problem, as well as the toxicity of the pesticides at their disposal. My questions about fees were answered a few minutes later when Steve’s call was follwed up by his boss, Ron, who owns the company. He too was polite and clear, the price was acceptable and the choice was clear that these guys were the ones to handle the problem.
So, Steve showed up in a timely fashion and really took his time with the process, patiently sucking up every last tiny invader with his extermi-​vac and then treating the perimeters and injecting the wall facing the garden. He was confident, capable and at ease, which greatly assuaged my nerves about the whole event. He then placed everything back where it was, and cleaned up perfectly after himself, leaving me clear instructions about when the area would be safe for the dogs again.
The level of professionalism and respect was unparalleled. Without hesitation, I will use this company again should the need arise. Highest reccomendations.

We had a terrible mouse problem in our old apartment where mice were coming in from under the dishwasher, under the stairs, and under the HVAC units. City Express came in, figure out all of the «secret» entrances and patched up all of the holes — even the ones we didn’t think about. They also laid down bait traps and gave us advice on why the building’s glue traps weren’t working (mice were too used to them and had figured how to get around them).
The exterminators were extremely thorough, enough that when we moved into a new apartment, we called them again, to mouse-​proof the new place. They did an examination, told us where there might have been a rodent problem in the past, but told us that the real problem was insects. Because we asked for a mouse-​proofing that ended up not being needed, they threw in a pet-​safe spraying for bugs. Great service!
