Clement Clarke Moore Park

Believe it’s Clemente, but regardless, the place was kinda trashy and thus underused. It needs a revamp. CCMP fail.

I came back to this park again on Wednesday, hoping for a peaceful ride on the swings. Although I recognize the need for the sign that says something to this effect: «Adults must be in the company of children to play on any of the fun stuff» the friend and longtime New Yorker I brought with me assured me it was fine to proceed to the swings.
As soon as our toes crossed the line a voice came out of nowhere: «You gotta have kids with you!»
Our eyes darted around to find the origin of the voice. From beyond the gates we saw a man who explained the sign was no joke. I’m still not sure if he works for the park or what but he didn’t appear to be a parent (no kid in tow.)
It was a shame to walk away from the swings, which, by the way, were not even in use when we turned up.
Until I find a kid or two to borrow, I likely won’t be back to Clement Clarke Moore Park.
