The music was okay typical Russian restaurant music but the food was probably the worst I have see when compared to other similar spots. The meat was raw and even though they attempted to bring out new burnt one, it really didn’t compensate for the other stale food that they were serving. Would not recommend for a place that has good food.

I was here for a party over the weekend and I assume the hosts spent a LOT of money to close this restaurant down for said party. That being said, when we walked in, there was sushi, oysters, small pieces of steak, shrimp, etc being served… and all of that was absolutely delicious. Fast forward to when we were sat down at the tables and the banquet meal began… it left much to be desired and I wished I had eaten more sushi in the beginning. First of all, the waiters for some reason kept skipping my side of the table, and the food just did not seem fresh. It tasted like it was all heated up from the day before. Personally, I wouldn’t return.

Me and my friends were celebrating New Years at this place. And let’s say my holiday was ruined when I found a gum in my goat cheese salad… DISGUSTING!!! Manager wasn’t even apologetic, he ignored my complaint completely and kept repeating that there is no way this can happen at his kitchen. Well, it happened!!! And the least he could do is to be a professional and handle a situation in the right manner. I would not recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good food and likes to be treated with respect.

This is by far my favorite Russian restaurant in NYC. Absolutely love their food, modern dishes as well as authentic Russian food, that come in huge portions. The music is awesome, and so are the talented singers. It’s BYOB, but their drinks are very delicious as well. Also a huge thank you to the wonderful staff who are all very helpful and attentive. Overall, it’s a great environment that I highly recommend to everyone who’s looking to enjoy a delicious meal with music, and dancing.

Wonderful place and well staffed. Really nice and helpful with all table service. Kind and gently crew. My friends and I all enjoy our visit. We love the idea of BYOB with a cork charge. We drink the night away and enjoyed all our moments on the dance floor and eating on a huge dinner table! A few friends suggested Friday is preferred and saturday isn’t due to over crowded guest. I’m glad I listened. But I did go on a Saturday a while ago in the past. It wasn’t a bad experience either. I did recall our table being given away but that was all after we ate and when we were all dancing. Late at night.

Pros: –Great ambiance –Big place, even with so many people it doesn’t feel crowded. 5 stars — Food is great. Nothing super fancy but very decent 4 stars — Entertainment is excellent. They play all type of music for everyone’s taste. 5 stars — Price is decent for banquet menu’s 5 stars — Service is what I really loved. I am always very observant about all the little things, but the bus boys were always super attentive, always noticing if you would like to try a new salad, etc. Always changed dirty plates and made sure everyone has alcohol in their glasses. This is where they really stood out from the rest of Russian restaurants. 5 stars — BYOB like most Russian restaurants Cons: — The dance floor is a bit too small. Gets a bit too crowded. We celebrated a friend’s birthday and had a blast. Would definitely come again. Out of all Russian banquet restaurants, if you care about service, ambiance and entertainment, this is a place to go to.

Let me start with mentioning that Russians can NOT do a proper customer service. Staff is generally a bunch of unmotivated fresh immigrants with really high expectations of themselves. The misery of their ego conflict is illustrated on their faces when they greet you. This place is no exception. First, they spent 15 minutes to confirm my reservation(having too many people involve in this process): minus one star for simple task: greet the customer. Second: after multiple verifications(poor workflow) they gave me a table. Host girl were mumbling that there will be concert of Russian rap star(Serega) and we would have to leave at 11 because(here is shock) «you’re only for a dinner, and you dont have a ticket to a rap concert». Damn right, I made a reservation, and I want to have a dinner.(Miscommunicaion(minus 2 star)) As we walked to the table, rude elderly man who aparently an employee at this place ordered me to give him my blazer for coat check. He made poor sarcastic remark after he got my negative answer.(Managers, please eduacate some manners your personnel once in a while) By the time I got to the table, my desire to have a pleasant meal disappeared, the catalyst to it was a dirty plate. Had no opportunity to try a single dish, I left the place with bad sediment. Personnel is horrible at at any aspect of customer service.

So disappointed with this place. I went there for a friend’s birthday and expected a large selection of food and the appetizers were all very simple dishes with bland taste. We waited all night hoping there would be delicious entrees and unfortunately even that was a miss. For the money you are paying per person the result is very disappointing. Furthermore, the place is extremely unprofessional and could care less about service. It took forever to bring out the entrees and the dessert didn’t come out until 3am even though we got there at 8. They also charge $ 15 for valet & $ 10 for coat check. The music was irrelevant and not modern so I would recommend other Russian restaurants.

I’m surprised that I haven’t written a review about this place already This place tries really hard to look like a club, but in reality it is just a restaurant with a dance floor and live music. The singers are very good, singing in Russian, English and Spanish too. They take requests for any songs you’d like them to sing so that’s a plus. The dance floor is a decent size so you wont feel like you’re getting squished The service was EXCELLENT, the waiters really do care about their patrons, always checking up asking if I needed anything, always making sure my glass Is full and they serve the food for you, you get what you pay for. when I went with my two girlfriends I paid about 65 a person without tip, but its a three course meal of appetizers, entrée and dessert so its fair. This place is a BYOB place, typical for a Russian establishment. I admit when I first saw the bouncers in the front I was a bit intimidated, they were big dudes, but they really do care about the safety of the people, they were helping open drunk girl call a cab and made sure she got home safe. The décor itself is beautiful I think that’s what makes me love this place the most, from the lighting to the table setup to the cleanliness its what every restaurant should embody. The food was good, the filet mignon was on par, the mashed potatoes were creamy garlicy and seasoned well, the green salads were perfect portions plus the endless amount of fresh bread and butter which im a sucker for lol, large enough to be shared with my friends. The desserts weren’t bad, cute little cakes and tea or coffee to go along with it, and fruits so I my stomach didn’t feel like it was about to explode. Would I come back here? Yes! I just wish they had a crowd that wasn’t primarily Russian, they should reach out to other members of the community

Best steak in NYC Yes, Club Cats is expensive. Quality and excellence cost money. I have been to other places… they do not compare! Club Cats knows how to prepare steak and provide a memorable experience. Although crowded, once you are seated, you are no longer aware of others. Our waiter has always treated us like we are his only customers. 1 jumbo shrimp cocktail, 3 slices bacon, 2 green salads, 2 sliced tomatoes and onions, 1 creamed spinach and porterhouse for 3, medium, sliced and served in its juices with 1 bottle of Chatenauf de Pape and 1 Brooklyn Lager is our typical order, followed by 3 coffees with amaretto and 1 slice of pecan pie with schlag! Yes, expensive, but the most delicious steak and sides ever. A memorable meal we all reminisce and talk about until we return. Not sure about prices of each item, but we usually pay about $ 80 per person, because we have wine and beer, plus tip. Always generously tip our waiter who does a wonderful service for us. The waiters always make you feel that you are their only table. Friendly and attentive. We have always lingered over coffee and have never been rushed out, no matter how crowded the restaurant is. If you want steak, Club Cats is your best choice.

The venue is very chic-looking! The food is delish! However, the dancing floor is so tiny you feel like it’s a train during rush hour. It’s nice to go there for drinks and dinner, but if you want dancing-the music there is awesome-make sure it’s not packed out, BC most of the time it is :)

The food was good, albeit expensive, but at these prices one would expect the service and the crowd to match; not here. We asked for our(expensive) wine to be decantered and the waiter didn’t even know what it was. And the crowd… Not the coolest one in town, lol. Overall, the atmosphere wasn’t what you would expect at $ 150 per person. The music was mediocre and not up to date. The place is a disappointment.
