very dense little store with tons of great material. plus, the woman who runs the store is a classic congenial new yorker, very kind and hilarious. tons of stock from many decades, all in good condition. would definitely shop again.

I bought the most gorgeous little vintage swimsuit here yesterday and it was the nicest surprise. I didn’t originally see this place on Unilocal so I don’t know how popular it is, but I would recommend it. The stuff they have is sort of pricey but I would say worth it. You’ll never really know what you’ll find either because the shop itself is almost too small to hold everything in it. It’s a bit disorganized and the dressing room is smaller than you could imagine but it’s a great place for vintage finds.

Step back in time to 1970s NYC, when rents were cheap and independent thrift shops abounded. Carefully curated sunglasses, scarves, coats, and a vast collection of hats and tiny vintage shoes and purses of all shapes and sizes. The owner is very sweet and helpful.

I love this store. This place is a hidden gem in East Village where vintage lovers must stop by. After some major digging, I found this gorgeous, gold mesh vintage Whiting and Davis clutch. Wow, that was love at first sight. I also bought a beautiful black mini handbag that looks like a doctor’s bag and have been getting so many compliments from everybody. Cobblestone has truly unique, fun, and classy pieces and Delani, the owner, is such a sweet lady. She could give you a discount if an item is a little pricey.

A long standing east village vintage store with some great vintage clothes. As with any vintage store, it’s hit or miss, and pretty disorganized, but the owner seemed to know where things were. I scored a beautiful pair of suede gloves from the 40s (likely). It’s a fun place to look around and possibly pick up some treasures.

I was looking for small vintage shoes and was sent here… YAY! There are lots of shoes in a wide range of sizes, she has size four, she has size eleven, and not just one pair of each. If you are a size five of six you will be a very happy shoe shopper here. There are t-​straps, clogs, boots, raffia sandals with carved heels, and a pair of super glamorous heeled house slippers!
The owner is great (a super nice native New Yorker who has run the shop for 34 years) and helped me find so many shoes to fit my little feet that I couldn’t take them all home.
The prices are reasonable, not everything is in perfect condition, but there are lots of treasures to be found.
There is a trend in vintage stores these days where you find a super small, highly curated selection of very expensive things, the stock may all be nearly perfect, but there is no digging, no thrill of discovery, and not any deals to be had. Those stores may be great for special occasion stuff, but some of the fun is missing for me… Cobblestones is not that kind of vintage store, and I LOVE it.

New favorite store. SO many vintage hats and the owner is incredibly sweet.
I recently have taken to old hats– think 1930/40’s– the selection is not only extensive, but the choices. Let’s say I want them all!

This place is really vintage, like the 60s vintage style. Tons of stuff to choose from. I got a real leather clutch and checked scarf. They are a little expensive than I expected but still a good find.

Delanie is a superb retailer and person. She really helped my family out a couple of years ago, dealing with my mother-in-law’s clothing and accessories. She was honest too, letting us know some bracelets were more valuable than we realized. Her store is beautifully put together.

Cobblestones is one of my favorite boutiques in the entire city. A small vintage shop, this store has amazing items from eras past. The prices are also a lot more reasonable than most vintage stores around, and the owner always check the price of an item before you buy to make sure she thinks it’s fair, in some cases dropping it (especially if you’re buying lots).
The owner is also just very nice and provides great service, something that cannot be said for many shops out there, vintage or not. She’s a great conversationalist. I routinely see costume designers from movies here on a mission and the owner seriously knows her stuff. All the pieces I have bought here will be cherished for a long time and passed on eventually, and didn’t cost me hundreds of dollars. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Cobblestones is my favorite vintage store in NYC. Many vintage stores in the city with quality inventory have a pretentious or snobbish attitude toward customers, but Delani is very helpful and extremely down to earth. The other day I came in looking for another bullet bra (I had purchased one from her previously, but craved a new one) and the next thing I know, she whips out a hanger draped with about 30 vintage brassieres. Needless to say, I found the perfect one. Before I left she promised to bring in a 60’s dress that she thought I would love. If you have a penchant for vintage gems and are in NY and haven’t been here, you should definitely make a stop.

I’ve been living in this neighborhood for close to 30 years, and I’ve known Delani, the proprietor of this store, for at least that long. I used to work for a jeweler on 2^nd avenue, and he remarked what a great retailer she is. And she is: several years ago I walked in, asked if she had a tin lunchbox, and the following day she presented me with a Battlestar Galactica one from the 70s. (Don’t be fooled by the clutter!)
Delani is all about the neighborhood: knows me, knows my dog, and always stops to chat on the street. She’s a great retailer and a great friend.

I want EVERYTHING in this store. I bought a purse that was exactly what I was looking for, like it had been waiting for me all along. I would’ve bought about 3 other things, too, if I just had more money with me! Not so sure about clothes, as the fitting room is so very tiny, but definitely a godsend for accessories!
The owner was great. She’d see me looking at something and point me to other items I would like that I had just walked past. And I did like them! There are hats and belts and purses and sweaters everywhere just stacked on top of each other; it’s easy to miss something wonderful, so leave no stone unturned!
It seems like everything was handpicked for the store and is just lovely. I wouldn’t classify anything in this store as a «rag» or as «junk» like in many poorer-​quality stores. I will definitely be back soon, though I might have to procure more closet space!

What a unique place!!! You step in. it feels like you are traveling in a time machine back to 1960s 70s 80s.
this is the real vintage deal. I personally don’t buy vintage but I was fascinated by all the sections they have.
Definitely one of the kind store in East Village. if you are big fan of 60s 70s or 80s style. stop by here. you won’t be disappointed. even you are not a vintage clothes fan. it’s kind unique experience to shop here.

This place is the ultimate. I mean, the mecca, of vintage. Most people walk in, get intimidated by the amount of stuff in a small space and walk out. Huge mistake. If you can overcome the clutter, then you will truly be able to appreciate the glory of Cobblestones.
This store is like walking into your grandmother’s closet. Your grandmother who never threw anything away. Ever. It’s so much fun to dig through the racks and find the most amazing treasures. You definitely need a good eye, a little bit of patience and some time on your hands, but it is so worth it. I’ve bought shoes here, I’ve bought dresses, I’ve bought jewelry and accessories. I almost bought a tiara, and actually, I am probably going back for that one. I would have bought a jumpsuit from the 80’s with sparkles on the shoulders, except my long torso just doesn’t seem to work with jumpsuits. Tragic, I know.
In addition to the amazing array of pieces, the owner is awesome. She always plays music from back in the day, and sings along loudly. She is so friendly and is always reasonable about knocking a little off the price if something is stained or slightly damaged. And the prices overall are better than most vintage stores I’ve come across in the village.
If you do go, go alone so you can better focus your search and not be distracted by impatient friends. Also, the store’s not that big and it’s better when you have more room to yourself. Once you get in that vintage zone, don’t be surprised if the whole day goes by and you still haven’t left the store. Every time I try to leave, I find something else I’ve got to have. This time it was metallic, rainbow strappy sandals from the 70’s. So choice.

This is where you go when you have to get someone a purse! Awesome deals on handbags and accessories. This place is crammed with stuff, so you have to prepare yourself to dig.
Not quite the place to go for clothing. Not many shoes for the size 8 and up, but adorable shoes to look at. There are also cute knick-​knacks to decorate your windowsills with.
I bought a turquoise and plum color suitcase from the ‘60s for $ 15. Tell me that isn’t a steal.

This vintage store is great mainly for accessories – I’m talking shoes (lots, in particular boots), bags, wallets, belts, jewerly, hats, scarves, etc etc. There are clothes, yes, but nothing outstanding in terms of appearance. There is a TON in this store, and I tried as hard as I could to look in every nook and cranny. The owner (i think) was really nice and engaged you without being overbearing or watching your every move. The prices are decent too, considering what vintage goes for in the cities these days. I didn’t see anything in the hundreds unless I missed it. Even a nice, heavy wool coat was only $ 60. It’s one of those stores where you’re going to want to cover everything but still might end up missing something.
P. S. I almost fell coming out of the store because I didn’t see that the step dropped down!
