This was my first time participating in a CURR event and it was great! I usually do a few 5K in a year, and I can tell you that CURR organizes a pretty good run. All the money for this event benefits the Achilles Organization, They support athletes with disabilities. The race started at 109th St at Riverside Park and they had an area for baggage check, a place to buy raffle tickets, bib and t-shirt pick-up. There were clearly marked signs for where to go when running and I liked that the bib had a built-in time tracking device. It is made by . Once at the finish line, there were plenty of refreshments including awesome, awesome bagels from The Bagel Store out in Williamsburg, Vita coconut water, Laurie’s Buffalo Chips and Salsa, and Siggi’s icelandic skyr. What was really great about this organization is that after the 5K, they sent you an email detailing your time and how you placed. I did good for my age division and I had loads of fun! I hope to participate in more of their upcoming runs!
