Thanks to the organizers for doing their organizing thing — d.b.a.‘s always an accommodating venue — and for drinking with me! Ate way too many sweets for someone without a sweet tooth, but there were so many to make an actual dent in. Looking forward to the next C&B event.

If all Cookies & Booze events are like OCHO on Tuesday, just put me down for all the future C&Bs. Thanks Cara and Lisa! I had so much fun eating dessert, dessert, and more dessert. The selections were fabulous. I was also a nice venue to chat and meet old friends and new Unilocaler! Even after burning 2 dozen cookies I made it to the event with cookie sandwiches and brownie cupcakes. Hurray for instant brownie mix!

Although my ideal night might sound something more like Cheesecakes and Booze, I can’t say I was disappointed with the cookies. Or the oreo balls or the monkey cake or the fudge … you get the point. I rolled home. Anyway, back to my months of hibernation on Unilocal. However, it was quite lovely seeing/meeting everyone last night. Until next time !

The Ocho! Thanks to Cara and Lisa for organizing and finally getting me to visit D.B.A. All the wonderful treats made me feel like a fat kid on a sugar binge. Earl Grey Cookies, Oreo Truffles that were so awesomely rich you hated yourself after 1 bite, Monkey Cake, Homemade Spicy Compost Cookies… and whoever brought the Donut Plant… a well played cop out if ever I saw one. And best of all, meeting awesome Unilocalers and sharing the space with the hilarious Rolling Stone peeps and the random bands they were kissing ass with.

My very first cookies and booze event tonight, and definitely enjoyed it. Thanks to the organizers Cara & Lisa. Apparently these happen every other month or so. This was the eighth one! If you do decide to join these lovely Unilocalers, be sure to bring a baked good. If you don’t bake, grab something from a bakery, silly!
