Dr. Kim is the most extraordinary dentist I have ever been to (and there have been no less than half a dozen). He is brilliant, personable, funny and tremendously efficient.
My only complaint is the receptionist. She is cold, curt and borderline rude. Going to the dentist is stressful enough without this behavior from a staff member.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this dental office.

I haven’t been to a dentist in 8 years and am happy that I found Dr. Kim! I would agree with the first reviewer… Dr. Kim, his assistant and his dental hygienist all get gold stars from me and I will remain a patient of his for the rest of my life in Manhattan. He is funny and also a little quirky… have already made an appointment for my husband to go there and going to be sending my two sons there as well.
So happy to have found Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim is awesome! He is very personable and quirky, and I have had the best dental experiences of my life here. Unlike other Korean doctors who look down on you if you’re a Korean who is not an expert at speaking Korean, Dr. Kim was very nice to me. He made sure that my insurance covered my dental molds, and his assistant molded my teeth in alginate five times to get the best mold. The teeth cleanings here were not painful at all, and both Dr. Kim and his assistant gave me lots of compliments on my «beautiful teeth.»
Also, this is the first dentist I have been to as an adult who has not tried to convince me to take all three of my remaining wisdom teeth out… They have not grown in yet, but every dentist has tried to convince me to remove all of them in order to make more money. Not Dr. Kim!
I must note that the front desk assistant is VERY unfriendly, but the doctor and his assistant are really great!!!

I was nervous about going to a new dentist but I was relieved to have a good visit at Dr. Kim’s office. The dental hygienist did a great job and Dr. Kim was easy going, personable and funny. I was in and out of the office quickly, which I appreciated.

I feel like I found the only honest dentist in Manhattan. Ever since I’ve moved here from florida, every dentist wants to do a million procedures on me. When I lived in Florida my teeth were just fine, routine care and cleaning. In Manhattan, the last guy told me I might need a root canal! The other one I went to before tried to get me to buy braces. I’m 36.
Im so glad I found Dr. Kim and his awesome hygienist Cati. They’ve seen me twice and I have no cavities. They didn’t recommend unnecessary procedures. He does not try to upsell you. He even didn’t do X-​rays the first time because I told him I recently had them. We did X-​rays the second time, and he explained them to me, knew exactly what the other doctors were watching, but reassured instead of trying to do unnecessary tests.
The guy is honest.
I asked him about my tmj symptoms and he took a mold of my mouth and made me a mouth guard right on the spot. And I swear to god, he DELIVERED IT HIMSELF.
This guy is amazing. He’s also very quirky and funny but I just think that means he’s probably a genius.

It’s been almost 7 years since my last visit to the dentist due to other places being so aggressive with my teeth. I’ve been to places that I’ve paid hundred to have my chipped teeth filled or cleaned and nothing compares to this place.
I saw their website on my health insurance list and decided to make an appointment, and since I was a new patient I thought it would take a couple months but I only had to wait 2 weeks, which wasn’t bad, considering other places would take 3 – 6 months. I was very hesitant at first but decided what the hell i can’t have ugly teeth. I went in around 1:40, filled out the form and my appointment was at 2. The reason the lady below received a call was because there’s a portion of the form which you will out with emergency contacts or who they would need to contact if they have questions. And you also sign another papers in the back.
The dental hygienist saw me on time, and I asked a lot of questions I had concernS with, and apologized for bombarding her with it but she assured me it was better to ask then not to ask & to ask away. She cleaned my teeth and went back into some areas that were tougher than other but she was so gentle unlike other places. She really took her time which I loved cause most places wouldn’t go back, they’d just tell me to come back in 2 weeks. I could instantly feel the difference and when it was time to rinse I felt like I had brand new teeth. She recommended I come back every 6 months but I think I will be going back every 4 – 5 jfor 2015 ust because its been so long and I want everything absolutely gone.
I had Dr. Kim and he was great. He’s very funny and honest. I had so many questions ranging from cavities to teeth whitening and bonding ect. He told me his honest opinions and wasn’t afraid to disagree and tell me which one would benefit me more, whether one option was cheaper than the other. Cost wasn’t his thing, it was more of which product or outcome would fit best.
I’m looking forward to returning and they did a great job! The office wasn’t jam packed either which was a plus.
