Lousy delivery service — more like dump and run!

Horrible. They reuse to honor online policies such as free shipping when you spend over a certain dollar amount. On my first visit, came by and saw they were selling the floor model of a trunk for $ 200 off regular price. I asked if they can deliver it and they wanted $ 300 to deliver it.
On another Another occasion, I came by to buy dinnerware, flatware, and stone coasters. I waited to be helped as I didn’t see a particular set of items in the store but no one ever came so I went in search of a worker who was organizing a shelf, he told me he would get someone for me but he went back to organizing a shelf for several minutes to the point where I went to look for someone else. The next worker told me they would have someone come help me, after waiting another 10 minutes for someone to come, they told me they had the item in stock, just not on display, but I couldn’t buy them in a set, I had to buy them individually which was BS because they offer it in a set online. I ended up buying only the coasters and leaving.
On my last visit to this location, I checked online to see if a particular item was in stock and it said was. I then called to be safe — I was told it was and they they had 2 left. I asked if they can hold it on the side for me but was told they can’t do that but also to not worry because not too many people purchase the item. I got to the store and was told they didn’t have it in stock and that according to their info it was out of stock for quite some time. I told them that I had called 30 min before I arrived and was told they had 2 left the worker disappeared for almost 30 min and came back with the item. The woman told me yet it was the last one left and that it was hidden — how is it the last one when someone told me there were two and how was it hidden? The person who told me they had it had to have either saw it in their system or saw it physically and it took them less than 60 seconds to answer me.

Don’t ever order from these people!!! I ordered a bench back in July 2015. Received an email in September telling me the piece was ready, but that I needed to arrange delivery on the phone. After finally getting through, I was told I needed to be transferred and at this writing I have been on hold – with obnoxious music – for 30 minutes (and counting).
Why can’t this transaction be accomplished via email? C&B are torturers. If I could cancel the order I would, but they have my $$$!
Save yourself this torture and buy elsewhere!!!

⁷⁄₁₇: «delivery» team came — AGAIN: he only knew of the pick up for the defective bed, don’t have a new bed to deliver… and the sage continues… seriously contemplating returning everything I’ve purchased from there, although nervous that their pick up team will only know of partial pick ups on each trip…

Don’t trust the stock that they have on their online store, don’t trust what they say over the phone. Was looking for a set of flatware that I bought a day before, I made another phone call to ask if they have anymore of that same brand, the man who picked up the phone yelled at me saying they never carried that brand before and that he didn’t know what I was talking about, but I clearly saw and bought it the other day in that location. Called the Soho location said they had it so I go in a few hours later, but they say they never had it in stock but broadway has it. So I go to broadway which online it says they had 6 left. I called before hand and asked to buy it over the phone, they gave me an attitude and told me not to and just come in. Went in the same day, they said they don’t have it. Manager yells at me as I ask to buy the displayed item asking if its a «matter of life and death». Was upset because the principle of it was that they constantly confirmed that they had the product and when I went in the same day they say that its still in the warehouse. They then told me to go to soho again so I called one more time. I prepaid over the phone giving them every information I had about that item and went to get what I purchased. When I finally got it they gave me the wrong one.
I wasn’t upset over the item but the idea that they didn’t actually know what was in stock or what wasn’t but they gave me the confirmation anyway and gave me an attitude while doing so. Never wrote a review before, never been this upset.

Good location. Brightly lit. Very clean. Nice staff, from the doorman to the floor to the counter personnel. Quality products. Nice displays. Some good sales items. Sleek checkout.

I shop here entirely too much. Their customer service is great. In-​store pickup takes a little longer than it should. However, I love the quality of their items.

Great products, prices and customer service. Even better when they have promotions and discounts.

I’ve been to this store a couple of times now. Both times, this was the only store that carried the items I was looking for. Alternative was to order them online, but when I’m getting it for the same price in store, I’d prefer that.
The store is well maintained, not too crowded. However it does feel a little claustrophobic. Bring situated in the center of prime real estate, I’m not surprised.

If you order furniture for delivery, be sure that you have open-​ended delivery times and days available, because they will not have your items to you during the promised window — and likely will not occur on that same day. I would recommend Pottery Barn if that’s an option for you.

This is a decent sized crate and barrel. I have found that often they’re out of merchandise though, which I find a little odd given the location.
They seem to get merchandise a bit more quickly in a new season and some of the other locations, which is a nice benefit.
You can also ask them to Messenger anything heavy that you buy and have it delivered to your house for about $ 20. Well worth it in my opinion!
Easy subway in and out.

I love getting lost in this two-​story mecca of homegoods. From cheese shredders to plates to wine bars to beds, this store has it ALL in every color, in every size. Buyer beware: you’re going to pay the price for these high-​end homegoods, so don’t expect this to be like a trip to the Target homegoods section. Everyone is more than ready to help you find whatever you need (and lenient when what you need is to come in and sit on their couch for a minute). I always love a good stroll around C&B!

Love this store. We have been shopping here for years. Got several pieces of furniture that we have been happy with. Some appliances and lots of glassware and all in all very happy with the quality and customer service.

Well, if I lived in New York, I’d probably shop here for my homewares and furniture.
They had some incredibly comfortable couches, and quite the range of stuff.
But let me just say, as a visitor to New York, it was their bathrooms that most impressed. Very clean.

They suck.
Overpriced and too posh for me. The other customers were rude, the staff was fake. The salesperson who helped me looked miserable. I blame management. They probably take their job too seriously, treating the other employees like ****.
Serves me right. Should’ve shopped local. D.I.Y. is the way to go.

I went to this store on a Sunday. Had been to CB in Paramus NJ and the other on Broadway but never for a large purchase. I usually ordered online and have had no problems.
Came here and had a woman show me around and definitely try to help. She was not the most bubbly of people, but she did what she thought best in terms of advice and helping selection. We went to 7 computer stations as their computers were not working. When we finally got to one and placed my ordered, I informed her I had a delivery for a pickup and if they could put it together so I don’t get charged twice.
She said yes, and got a manager who said it was not possible. Her manager came and «fixed» it and said yes can be done.
Lady told me she would email me the receipt first thing when she got in tomorrow, and confirm that I would not be double charged. She never called.
I called every day for the past week, but they put you on hold & the wait time has been over 20 minutes. So I hung up. Today when I called and they put me on hold, I asked for how long. She said, I don’t know. But I needed to talk to someone and waited.
After 25 minutes someone came on the line. Canceling the order was quick, and she sent me the receipt right away. I called the 800 # and reordered everything. No confusion in delivery charges, etc. Took 5 min tops.
Store itself is great, gorgeous actually.
But people make up a store, my experience was very sub-​par.
And so is the 20+ minute wait time if you need to change/​amend/​cancel a store order.

Forget Ikea, William Sonoma or even Potery barn. They all have their own space in society, but Crate Barrel is real. Best and most affordable houseware. I have even had my office pantry set up done with their products.
Our boardroom has artifacts and dinnerware from crate n barrel. We shop frequently here and have always ended up leaving with tons of stuff, too dangerous for our wallets.

Staff is very approachable and friendly too.

Surprisingly affordable for tableware, surprisingly expensive for furniture. I’ve bought both here and feel my money was well spent across the board. Everything is made to last, so choose wisely – you’re going to have it for a long time.
Be aware that some items (most rugs, for example) must be shipped from the warehouse, and that can take a week or longer. I understand that they can’t stock everything, but the lag time is a little disappointing.
I can’t say enough about C&B salespeople. Everyone seems intelligent, courteous, helpful, and just plain nice. Today, we were buying a lighting fixture, and Michelle really hustled to get us information. She was happy to discuss pros and cons, and even pulled aside coworkers for their take. Then she energetically disassembled its gigantic box, so we could get it into a cab. (At this rate, I half-​expected her to offer to install it.) I hope she works on commission; she deserves it.

Pretty nice, and they were super friendly and helpful when I tried to exchange a broken cooling rack that I received as a gift.
They’re also not as expensive as I thought they would be. I saw a few mugs that were cheaper than online or at Bed Bath Beyond.

OH SWEET HOLY HEAVEN.
Mentally, I always drop about $ 3,000 upon first walking into Crate & Barrel. I mean, if I’m going to have my dream kitchen, I’m TOTALLY going to drop $ 499.95 on the copper stand-​alone Kitchen Aid mixer. I feel that almost goes without saying…
I just enjoy this location overall: the products are well-​stocked and well-​labeled. (When shopping for gifts off of a wedding registry, this is fantastic!) The sections (kitchen, home, et al) are all quartered out very sensibly. The flow of the floor plan works well and I never feel like I’m about to bump into another person… or, even scarier, bump into and knock down an entire row of Marin yellow dinner plates.
The staff is super helpful and friendly. The woman that rung me up, Bonnie, quickly took my order off of my cousin’s wedding registry (…because I’ll be damned if someone else gets them the same salad bowl and tongs I got them!). She wrapped it up in pretty green paper while we engaged in conversation over how green wrapping paper is TOTALLY better than silver wrapping paper. She was genuinely friendly and got my purchase ready and raring to go for my trek back home.
When I have thousands to blow on cute napkin holders and my dream set of bright red Le Creuset skillets and Dutch Ovens, this is where I shall blow said money. In the mean time, it’s great for little purchases to put a bit more dazzle into my kitchen or bedroom.
