Crêpe Café

lovely café! quiet and sweet, the food is delicious. I loved the green juice and my crêpe was divine! the service is great everyone is incredibly friendly. I came here alone and still felt right at home. I will try to come here as much as I can!

I like Crêpe Café, but MANAGEMENT, PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS: your pastries are clearly grocery store bought – you should definitely try making homemade pastry, or forego the concept all together as they always taste dry and stale and makes your restaurant look less good/​competenet. A good idea would be to instead import Doughnuts from a nearby doughnut shop, which I think you’ve done before.
ALSO: the hot chocolate recipe must be changed. It basically just tastes like sweetened milk. Really bad. And maybe more coffee beverage options, like flavored lattes? And matcha?
Just some ideas to make the place better, but all in all, pretty good!

I’m giving this place a five star review based on just a chai and the experience I had on my first visit. I will update it once I try their crepes, but I will say the service was good and the prices seem reasonable. Small, but cute and cozy space.

Strangely, the East Harlem Café nearby was closed on a Sunday morning so I came here for brunch to get my NY bagel and coffee fix. I ordered a toasted everything bagel with plain cream cheese with a cappuccino. Simple but definitely satisfying. My group had ordered the crepes and they are fairly large servings. Enough to serve two people depending on if there’s meat in it or not. The menu options are tasty, healthy and light. I would recommend this place for brunch on a Sunday morning.

Overall, I like this place and would recommend it as a place to grab a quick bite or coffee solo or with a friend.

not many here, but I’ve had the roast beef sandwiches once and it was terrible, cheap low quality cheese.

Very nice place. I don’t really like crepes but I saw sandwiches on the menu that looked mighty tasty. I ordered the turkeybon sandwich that they stop Making at 12pm but it wasn’t very busy and they were very nice to make it. The cranberry mayo was very delightful and the onions made it yummy. The cashier even gave me a big bottle of water because I grab a small one and those are free to customers. I believe that’s what she said. The sandwich was so tasty I kept talking about it after I left. The service is very good. The food is very good. And you should try it they even have plugs to charge you phone and more.

Delicious. Friendly staff who made suggestions. I loved the smoked salmon crêpe with the farro side salad. Cool ambience at night with candles and jazz. It was just what I needed after a long day at work. Will definitely return.

Ordered egg no 2 sandwich. Specifically because it comes on brioche. Sandwich came out on plain bagel. Girl behind counter says, oh well it comes on a bagel now. Thanks for telling me before I ordered. If paying 24 $ for a bagel, salad and coffee I expect something better… Was really unhappy with this experience. I think especially because the last time I was here I ordered the crêpe with «eggs «in it. Crêpe comes out with no eggs. Asked about why no egg. Was explained to by said girl that it was thin layer of eggs. Look I’ve had plenty of crepes in my day that come with scrambled eggs in them. That’s a standard common crêpe ingredient. When eggs are listed as the first ingredient in a crêpe it pretty much is advertising it as EGGS in a crêpe. Silly me to think its scrambled eggs per every other crêpe I’ve had listing eggs as an ingredient. That «thin layer of egg» added nothing to my crêpe, and certainly does not deem the label of «eggs» in a crêpe. Thankfully she did finally give us a refund for the egg sandwich though the refund came with a large helping of attitude

Excellent atmosphere and music, good food (have had the banana and Nutella crêpe, the crêpe Suzette, the ham and cheese crêpe, and one of the egg sandwiches), wifi, lots of seating options, and a really pleasant staff. This is a great addition to the neighborhood!

Not a bad addition to the block. I appreciated the banana nutella crêpe although I found the crêpe to be a little too thick and tough. For that reason I am torn writing this review because the crêpe is an edible and a yummy lunch option but not the best crêpe I’ve ever had (which isn’t that big of a deal here because the best crêpe I’ve ever had was tucked away in a nondescript corner of a Parisian flea market). However, this crêpe is a little over priced for the quality. Yet, the service was lovely and the atmosphere inviting so that helped balance the experience. I ordered my crêpe for take away. Perhaps I would have enjoyed things better had I spent all my meal dining in. I’ll definitely be back as I suspect this spot has major potential.

More neighborhood options, but not without a heftier price tag.
That block has been under construction for the longest time, and there had been a standstill of openings since 7-​Eleven back in the spring. Crêpe Café is the next one open, and boy was I excited to see another café option in the neighborhood.
Not sure how to best structure the review, so I figure it might easier to list pros and cons.
Pros: really cute interior and perfect for a date. The menu has quite a few options, a little bit of something for everyone. Tons of outlets and variety of seating throughout. Helpful counter staff when ordering. Flavors were pretty tasty and my farro and arugula side was a great accompaniment.
Cons: price point is very high for the neighborhood (~$ 16 – 18 for lunch combo). The portions are also quite small. Music can be pretty loud and it’s not the best environment for getting work done. Wait staff was really confused several times and I was brought the wrong food initially.
To be honest, I left feeling kinda disappointed and unsure if I’d be back. I really wish it could’ve become that go-​to Sunday café. However with the current price points, I’m much better of going across the street to Harlem Café or venturing further east to a 3^rd or 2^nd Ave café.

This is a nice hidden gem my friend and I found when trying to find a place to a) get a tasty bite and b) get some work done. Well lo and behold walking up Lex we find Crêpe Café — excellent food, great coffee, and the kicker — a power outlet at every table! I’ve been in New York a while and this is the first time I’ve had an outlet to myself. The wifi is fast and the service is extremely friendly. Will definitely be back.
