Meet the Business Owner
Peter DeLuca D.
Business Owner
A native New Yorker, Peter got his professional start in Greenwich Village in 1977. He quickly became known in the Village for his kindness and the personal touch he provided to families in their time of loss. Always available to assist, Peter donated funeral services for Avonte Oquendo, the 14 year old autistic boy who went missing from his school.
Peter serves on the board of the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, the Caring Community and The Friends of LaGuardia Place, all of which have honored him in the past.
Leading one of the last funeral homes in Manhattan that is owned by an individual, not a publicly traded corporation, Peter remains independent because of his concern about maintaining the highest level of services and fair pricing for his clients. In January 2015, Peter will be named President of the Metropolitan Funeral Directors’ Association which encompasses over 200 member-owned funeral homes in the five boroughs of New York City.
