Me my wife usually can’t agree on all bakery due to our snack differences but this place has found a way to satisfy both of our taste buds. If you go here please try the carrot cake. yum yum!

My stars are accurate, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» The cupcakes were huge, but I believe that’s what made them soooo dry. Bigger isn’t always better, if you know what I mean! lol
When I arrived the bakery wasn’t busy at all and it was very small. Just two tables for seating, very bland décor. Not sure what the theme was as it just looked like a store with a counter. I was greeted and served well. The ladies were very sweet! I ordered the White Chocolate Raspberry and the Vanillia Celebration cupcakes. Pricing was not too bad. So I took them back to the hotel. Later that evening, bit into one and immediately did not like the icing flavor. Very artificial tasting. I ended up throwing them out because they were so dry.
Not sure what else to say about this bakery as they aren’t terrible, just not the best. So far in my trip, I wasn’t really impressed with the food in New York.

I stopped in on a rainy day and decided on the raspberry swirl cupcake and a coffee. I wanted the hazelnut coffee but they didn’t have any. Had to get the medium roast instead, as that’s the only one they had. Cupcake was delicious but I wish they had minis as well. The one I had to get was huge and I could only eat half and still had a nice sugar buzz. They coffee was good as well and it’s right by Times Square. Woman behind the counter was friendly and I liked that they offered honey. Not much seating, only a little L shaped table by the door, but I was the only one in there most of the time… Except for when 3 women walked in as I was leaving.

Really a score of 3.5.
In general the chocolate flavored options (chocolate explosion, devils food cake, and brownie) were all a bit drier and not as moist as the non-​chocolate options. We’re a family of chocoholics and the flavors of the chocolate options left something to be desired. The red velvet cake was the winner, the apple pie flavor was second place, the canoli flavor was third place, the black and white cookie cupcake was fourth place and also the best chocolate option! And the carmel macchiato was fifth place with all the other chocolate options following.

Stopped by for a quick sweet treat! Grabbed a cake push pop which in my opinions was a clever little contraption. The cake portions were moist and delicious but the icing was a bit much and very sweet.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Cupcakes look so good with all different types of toppings. I chose the peanut butter cupcake. Globs of frosting with no taste. The chocolate cake was moist but had a hint of chocolate taste. It was a bland, underwhelming experience. Not my type of cupcake.

Service is good, cupcakes are great, but definitely overpriced.
Great for work events where you need a large selection of mini cupcakes in a pinch! (watch out, though, there is a 10 cent charge for 1 candle)
I’m intrigued by the dip-​n-​dots concoctions… never tried any, but worth taking a gander at?

Stopped in for a hot tea. They had a special of a large tea or coffee and choice of muffin for only 3.00. The green tea was very good with the honey the had on the counter with the sugars. Right next to the late show theater.

Crumbs are my favorite I always stop in when I am in town. I tried having cupcakes delivered to my sisters hotel while she was in town for work, it just ended up being a mess. Crumbs said they were delivered, they hire an outside courier so who knows but the hotel never received them. It was just disappointing I couldn’t share their cupcakes with her.
Crumbs was accommodating and gave me a refund for the troubles.
I would just recommend picking them up yourself and avoiding their delivery options it seems like they still have some logistics to work out.

This place is very cute and accommodating. They have seats for about 4 – 6 people and an outlet where you can charge your phone or other devices.
Their cupcakes, cookies and other desserts come in neat packaging and their designs and flavors are appealing. It is a great spot if you are craving a baked, sweet good on-​the-​go or to eat there. It is also a good spot to pick up treats for a loved one whether it is for a birthday or other celebration.
The cashier I had was new at that time so it took a while to scan the products, and she asked assistance from her co-​worker. Other than that, they were very friendly and kind. Their treats may run a bit high since they are located by Times Square but it is a good place to stop by every now and then.

Pricey cupcakes that are consistently better than average.

For a store that specializes in cupcakes, they don’t do it as well as they should.
I do appreciate a more proportionate cake to icing ratio, but the entire cupcake by itself was way too sweet.
Overall, I think there are better cupcake alternatives out there in the big city.

This place is near my husband’s office n surprisingly we have been here once only. The place is small with a limited variety of cupcakes but they all look delish. However we tried a low fat nutty banana yogurt muffin and a Nutella Cronut! The muffin was a bit bland but the Cronut was delicious. Wud love to go again!

The food is tasty but pricey. The staff looks unapproachable but will serve you. This is a pick up and go location. There are no seats and the place is tiny The name will carry it’s business. The store is situated next to a Broadway play so the «let out» crowd will always be hungry after sitting in a show for three hours with no snacks so the business will be continuous for Crumbs.
It’s nice to know there is a hole in the wall Crumbs here so i can always have something to bring over a friends place when I visit for good gestures give how scarce Crumbs has become.

Listen, I can eat cupcakes with the best of them and Crumbs should be at the top of the list.
I’ve had these before, years ago, and was always impressed so wanted to stop by again. Now, they had the close, then reopen thing but did not think that mattered. Everything looked the same… delicious!
I ordered a red velvet and a peanut butter cup. About $ 10 with tax. Worker there was all smiles and super friendly.
Not impressed by these cupcakes. Maybe they were stale? Icing was not moist, lacked a real flavor and the cupcakes were dry. What a disappointment! Not what I remember at all.
Will hit up Magnolias on 6^th when I get my next sweets craving… which will probably be soon!

I am always overwhelmed when I walk into a bakery. When I walked into Crumbs I wanted one of everything! After a very hard decision I chose the cannoli cupcake. And let me tell you, it was PERFECT. It was EVERYTHING I wanted in a cupcake and more! The cake itself was light but moist. The frosting was delicious and had mini chocolate chips throughout it. But the best part of the cupcake was the mini cannoli on top! Every bite of the cupcake was delicious… And I don’t say this lightly — it was hands down the best cupcake I ever had (and trust me I’ve had A LOT of cupcakes!!!) 5 stars to Crumbs! It will be my first stop next time I’m in Manhattan!

I bought two cupcakes, one regular, non gluten free carrot cake and one gluten free red velvet. This place had two chances to satisfy my cupcake cravings… And unfortunately failed both times. I’m no cupcake guru, but I know the basics of how a good cupcake should taste.
The frosting was too sweet and the proportion of frosting to cake was overwhelming. They could probably do better using a light whipped frosting recipe. Or plainly, just less sugar, and rationing on the sprinkles.
The actual cake part of the cupcake was very, very, very (and this is an understatement) dry. The cake literally crumbled apart and upon eating it, had the consistency similar to that of saltine crackers – dry, crumbly, and sticking to the mouth in an unpleasant way. In my honest opinion, grocery store cupcakes easily hail over these 5 dollar «gourmet» cupcakes.
I would have assumed that these were just a simple batch gone wrong, but after seeing other reviews, it looks like it’s a constant thing. Too bad, I would have loved to frequent this bakery as it is a block from my living quarters… but i don’t see myself doing so after this taste test.
Overall, the only great experience of this place was the cashier (he was pleasant), and that glass of milk I bought to wash the cupcake down. Thank goodness for that glass of milk.

The guy who helped me was super nice, but I’m not a huge fan of their cupcakes. They’re a little sweet for my taste but I have to say the cake on the Birthday Cake Cupcake I purchased was very moist. It wasn’t my birthday, I just like sprinkles and this one had them in abundance.
I don’t think I’d be a regular here, but when I’m coming home from beer club and want to make some bad food decisions, this will be my first stop!

I like to think of myself as a cupcake connoisseur. They’re my favorite dessert and I’ve eaten plenty. Still, I had been avoiding Crumbs for ages. Partially for the price, $ 3.95−4.50 for a cupcake annoys me, and partially for their size. I like traditional sized cupcakes or minis.
A coworker was having a craving so I joined her in the trip. After debating which treat I wanted I settled on the Cookie Dough flavor.
Size: One cupcake could truly be split by 2 people. And when they weigh in at 500 – 600 calories? I want to puke.
Cake: The cake itself was great. It was dense and moist and everything a cupcake should be.
Icing: This was terrible in my opinion. It’s artificially sweet and it was very dry. A lot of the icing was flaking off leading me to believe the cupcake is not fresh. No idea for certain, but it just wasn’t creamy icing. I can just feel my blood sugar spiking.
Cookie Topping: The cookie the was shoved in the cupcake was crumbly and flavorless.
For fairness I’ll probably give Crumbs another try later on, as in, several months from now but I truly was not impressed.
