I was happy to find a good florist in grand central. Their flowers are fresh and prices are on point. Plenty to choose from as well. The customer service was nothing special, but they made me a nice bouquet! 2 dozen roses plus 2 bunches of decorative leaves/flowers was only 42 $! I will be back.

I had the pleasure of hiring Dahlia Flowers for my client’s event. We chose Cipriani Wall Street for the late December soirée as our venue. And if you know New York City venues, you know Cipriani is nothing short of exquisite, elegant and one of Manhattan’s best ballrooms. Although this grand and luxurious New York landmark is breathtaking alone, we needed the perfect flower arrangements for the tables to match the mood of this triumph venue. At first I began looking into Manhattan florists, however the samples I was receiving were boring, plain and poorly executed not to mention they came with a ridiculous price point. I was then referred to Bart at Dahlia Flowers. It was not an easy fight to persuade my client to use a florist from New Jersey however as soon as Dahlia began sending us photos of their work, I knew we had to go with them. The staff was very professional and accommodating. They even arranged a sample viewing of how each of the arrangements would look, as we were getting a few different arrangements in a variety of heights and sizes and needed to see each kind of arrangement in person to sign off on the full order. We had signed off on 80 arrangements and then 2 days before our event we needed to add 5 more. Dahlia was able to accommodate our additional order which I know was no easy task since our arrangements required some hand painting. Upon arriving to Cipriani the day of the event, Dahlia’s staff set everything up in not only a timely manner but precisely. They had exceeded all our expectations with not only their arrangements but the quality of work they provided on-site and throughout the process. Arrangements were truly exquisite and unique and the staff was a joy to work with.

This place stinks. They gave me a bouquet that fell out of the vase as soon as I tried to move it. My talk with the owner did nothing to help. We just ended up having a fight with him asking if they fell out because I was holding the vase by the flowers not the vase. I had to explain that the stems were less dense than the water they were placed in, that combined with very short cut flowers tied in a bundle and too much water equaled the entire bouquet falling out in one bundle. I guess he’s not a science guy. Or a business man. And certainly not much of a florist.

When in New York and visiting friends, I take advantage of this gem of a flower store to be sure I have something in hand for my hosts upon arrival. Dahlia by far provides the best and most reasonably priced selection of desirable fresh cut flowers. I point out«desirable» because these are not crappy, pre-done run-of-the-mill flowers/bouquets. Located in the Biltmore room on the Grand Concourse across from Starbucks, it’s a little funky to find, but well worth the sidestep(which is how I first found Dahlia, when grabbing a magazine for the ride home once). If only Boston stations could get a clue and include a place like Dahlia…

great selection, great prices and even better customer service! I needed last minute flowers for my grandmothers birthday dinner, so before stopping by, I gave them a call and was greeted by an employee who assured me they can fix a bouquet for me and let me know someone will be there to assist me when i come in. Sure enough when i went in, the girl who worked there came around and picked out a great bunch of different flowers and beautifully arranged them for me. Not are they only in a great convenient spot, but the service is excellent and they do everything very fast,(which is great because most customers in grand central are running for trains and on a tight schedule) and most importantly, with quality. P.S the flowers lasted us a very VERY long time! i certainly will be back and i definitely recommend it.

I’ve been here a few times to pick up flowers for special occasions. Extremely affordable and the flowers are always good quality. The girls that work here are all beautiful and so helpful!!! My favorite is a girl named Rebecca who has infinite knowledge of flowers and is always so chipper. Every time I come here I buy more than I intended to!!! Great flowers. Great price. Great location.

Great pit stop for flowers in grand central station. It’s a a bit hidden so could be easily missed if you’re not aware its here — it’s diagonally across from the big Starbucks & inside the big newspaper & magazine stand/store en route to the famous watch guy. They have fresh flowers daily /not an exorbitantly large selection but they have the classics(tulips, roses, orchids) /and the prices are very reasonable for the location. They wrap it for you on the spot, they do take credit cards which is handy, and they are quick. They offer a selection of pretty vases as well if needed. Grab & go flowers — check! Bring home a bouquet of Dahlia flowers to your special someone & there will be guaranteed smiles :)

i agree with the filtered review posted by yo s. completely obnoxious service. called to see if they had dahlias(you know, since it is the name of their store and other florists that don’t tout the flower in their title have told me they have access to them), and was met with extreme snarkiness. uh, i’m sorry for asking what i thought to be a reasonable question, ma’am.

A step up from the flower vendors on the lower concourse of GTC. Dahlia’s offerings are more elegant and expansive. This is definitely the place to go if you need to grab: — Flowers as a gift — Something to amp up your meeting space — Something for the host/hostess Prices are decent and they’ll wrap ‘em up to where they’re totally ready.
