History

Established in 2014.

Dal Maestro was founded in November 2014 by Isabella Abbonizio, guitarist, educator and Ph. D in musicology and Alfio Gliozzo, A. I. scientist, educator and Ph. D in computer science. Isabella’s solid international experience with music education and performance, and Alfio’s deep knowledge of computer science, joined in their common belief that high-​quality education and distance learning for all can make the world better. A common effort gave birth to a new visionary company for music lessons in NYC studios and online.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Isabella Abbonizio is an Italian classical guitarist and musicologist currently based in New York City. Her passion for music manifested early in her life and brought her to pursue both instrumental and theorical studies. After studying at the G. B. Martini Music Conservatory of Bologna (Italy) she graduated cum laude in musicology, and earned her Ph.D. at the Tor Vergata University of Rome. From 2012 she is a Visiting Scholar at New York University’s Centre for European and Mediterranean Studies and on the faculty of The Harlerm School of the Arts.
