I can not say enough about this website… Some of you may be aware of the most dominating independent hip-​hop label on the map. Yep, you guessed it, Def Jux Records… check them out at
. This record label is simply known as Def Jux. Short for Definitive Juxtapose. For starters, their slogan is «Defiantly Original… Definitively Hip-​Hop.» Mint.
Now, do not let the somewhat simple layout of the site fool you, this site is doing big time things. These guys are smashing on other record label and artist’s web sites. Obviously El-​P (Kingpin of Def Jux) wasted precious minutes of his life on Sony Music’s web site or something. So, El-​P puffed his cigar, sipped on his McCallens 18, and proceeded to make my life better. I am telling you… if you go to this site, you leave feeling like you just had a personal conversation with Mr. Lif and Aesop Rock. And then you shook El-P’s hand on the way out.
This site offers a very personal approach in their marketing, taking business ethics to a whole new level. For example, this site offers tour updates, new releases, sneak previews, a store with all of the artist’s albums and all of Def Jux’s hotness gear. From Hoodies to T’s to belt buckles to backpacks to hats to beanies to records to DJ bags… They offer individual songs for sale for 98 cents, like itunes, just better. You can also buy music videos for $ 1.98 and throw them onto your iPod. Also, one of the best things they do, is let you pre-​order an album and it will arrive at your place with a fat autograph of the artist at hand. Do not sleep on this website.
Do not be fooled by the other gimmicks out there. If you visit this site once or twice a week, you are bound to get a promotion at work, all the girls wille be talking about you, strangers will be smiling at you on the street, money will find it’s way into your wallet at incalculable rates, the US Gov will stop tapping your phone calls, and all of the sudden you will be extremely knowledgeable of all the world’s philosophies.
