Get lunch here about 3 times a week from work. Always a great deal! Tons of variety.

Solid place for lunch with a great variety. Within the area, I found that this place has a better burger, buffet bar, juice station, soups, and it has the best value salad station. It’s 1 meat, 2 protein, with unlimited toppings, and a free combo soup for $ 6.95. They are also very generous with their homemade bread for the soup and salad. They’re buffet bar is also 50% off after 3pm. Service is very friendly and food is satisfying. Check them out.

This is by far the best cafeteria in the few block surrounding my office. Especially the sandwich section. The oatmeal isn’t bad either. Service is great, and the lines are way shorter than any of the others. And the prices are on point.

I don’t go here as often as Bread & Butter next door. I stopped by for lunch today and ordered a Kimchi Stir Fry with beef and brown rice. First off, you ordered with the guy as the woman is cooking the food to your order. After its done, the guy hands your food and the cashier determines on the scale how much you are going to pay. I rushed over to my building to devour my lunch. The stir fry is a tad oily but the flavor profiles are definitely coming through with every bite of this yummy goodness. The beef are big slices which is good because I hate delis that are cheap on the meat you know. Kimchi is bit spicy but just right with this order.

Delicacy is a great stop for breakfast or lunch. Their breakfast is a bit($ 1 – 3) cheaper than many other places in this area. Their egg sandwiches, breakfast burritos and white omelets are consistent and satisfying. They also have a huge array of choices. In the way back they have a small buffet of hot and cold items, which is good for when you just want to pick up a small bite. The brick oven sandwiches are awesome — I had the balsamic grilled chicken, which was served warm with fresh tomato and spinach. It was huge and I ate it as two meals. Not bad for $ 8. I’ve had the I have yet to try a salad, but it comes with a free side of soup(which is unheard of in this part of time). Overall, definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Solid lunch spot in Midtown East. I work in the area, which is flooded with lunch spots ranging from the good, the bad, and the ugly. Fortunately, this place is around the corner from my office and serves as a quality option at a reasonable price. It has all the bells and whistles commonly found in most places and more. Soups, salads, hot bar, grill, cold/hot sandwiches, sushi bar, desserts, and power bars. I’m sure I missed something they have, but the point is the variety is legitimate. Typically, I grab a sandwich(buffalo chicken on a roll with pepper jack cheese) and a bag of chips, which costs me less than $ 10. I’m also a fan of the brick oven melts and quesadillas. The food portions are large so come hungry. A major point of emphasis is this place is clean. There’s also seating upstairs, but I usually bring my food back to the office. I recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

I got a cheeseburger deluxe there today, that was awesome. I have also gotten a breakfast panini there a few times and the sandwich was still piping hot when I got it back to my office. Their prices are reasonable too and the service is fast.

When walking in the food doesn’t look that great, in my opinion BUT everything tasted very fresh and healthy!!! Great place. I got a tuna melt and chicken ceasar wrap and a strawberry smoothie.

This place is great! The price of the buffet is way cheaper than Bread & Butter next door. Not only that, the cashiers are actually nice(and don’t short you, unlike Bread & Butter cashiers). They have all different types of foods, but I usually just go for the buffet.

This place is the feast. I work right around the corner and stop by whenever I’m more hungry than usual and in the mood for something a bit more substantive for lunch. I’ve had the quesadilla, kimchi fried rice(with chicken) and the buffet. All were standout lunch options and incredibly cheap for what you get. The quesadilla can easily feed two grown adults so just be prepared. It costs a whole $ 7.99 and comes with sour cream and salsa should you ask for it. The kimchi fried rice is similar in volume but a tad lighter. Kimchi is legit as the shop is run by koreans and they give you more than enough. Also, they allow you to essentially cobble together your own ingredients for the stir fry, which is nice. The buffet isn’t as good as the other two items mentioned but it’s still better than most other buffet options offered in midtown. In addition to the downstairs serving area, there’s an entire upstairs for sitting down and dining. Space is pretty airy and they’ve got air conditioning, so it’s definitely good for the summertime. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot if you’re hankering for a new lunch spot in this lunch time wasteland that is midtown east.

I used to think the place next door, Bread & Butter, had the best deal in town as far as salads go. And after one very negative experience here last year when it was still Nissi, I refused to ever give this place another shot and gleefully took delight every time I went to B&B for lunch instead(yes, I’m petty, I know — I’m working on it). Last Monday, however, I was in an usually extra chipper mood,(you know, those days when you feel like the«world is your oyster» kinda day?) so I decided to let bygones be bygones and went into the newly christened Delicacy with an open mind and empty tummy. I quickly scooped out the place, mentally taking note of all the stations. When you walk in, there’s the fresh pressed juice section, then the cash register. Behind that is the prepackaged food area, which is next to the soup station, then followed by the sandwich bar. After you get into the rice/noodle* area, and finally, at the back is the hot food bar, as well as the salad station. I normally eat like sh! t at home, so I try to balance it out by getting a salad for lunch at work. I looked up to the menu board and immediately I was happy(and only got happier after when the cash register lady told me that it also came with a small soup for FREE!) because you could get unlimited vegetable toppings. As a vegetarian, it so happens that I’m only interested in the vegetables. While I have to admit the the sesame dressing next door at B&B may taste a little better, a small costs $ 8.66 over there. Delicacy offers theirs for $ 7.57, and that includes the free soup, too! For over a dollar less, and free soup(that varies in selection everyday) my money goes to the latter option any day(unless of course they repeat what they did to me last year, which I won’t describe here because in all fairness, it was Nissi, their predecessor that was the culprit). *I haven’t tried the noodle/rice section but I’m tempted to every time I go. They offer noodles and rice dishes from all sorts of cuisines like Korean, Thai and Japanese. I’m definitely interested in trying their bibimbap, pad thai and ramen. But you should check it out because they offer a lot more choices than that. **6/25 — Tried the Kimchi bibimbap today, it was fine but a little bland for my liking. I’d give it a 3.5÷5 stars. **7/1 — Tried the Ramen today, it was actually quite delicious. It was very flavorful and filling, and I loved that they allowed you to choose what kind of veggies you wanted, and asked if you wanted an egg in there. 5⁄5 stars.

I wouldn’t normally leave a review of a place like this as its just your typical NYC deli but it was just so disgusting that I felt I should warn others. FYI, I’m only commenting on the traditional buffet in the back. They have a bakery, korean food and a salad bar that looked better. Literally everything I purchased was disgusting. The salad was soggy and old, sesame chicken tastes like some other kind of meat and some other sauce… in my last bite of ‘chicken’ I bit into what seemed to be small bones. I had to spit it out. The mashed potatoes and fish were cold. These are all basic food items found on a buffet and I’m not sure how they managed to make it that bad. Otherwise the environment and upstairs dining area seemed nice, clean and new.

This is the renovated Nissi. Looks like this place is getting more and more business. Again, solid sandwiches and grill station. Looks like they have more korean food options and a baked goods section. The hot buffet is tiny compared to Bread & Butter next door, but the selection looks decent. My go to here is the chicken cutlet on a wrap with honey mustard, as you’d be hard pressed to find fresher chicken cutlet at other delis in midtown. They also have some interesting brick oven sandwiches. If you like Tate’s cookies, they’ve got em here also. $ 6 for a dozen.

Delicacy is the newly revamped and renovated Nissi. The whole interior of the deli has been renovated with vibrant colors, clear lighting, and additions of 2 new food stations, the salad bar and smoothie bar. The 2nd floor seating area also has been improved with seating along the wall viewing onto the street, for those who like to people watch. Despite all the physical changes there is not much of a change in the menu selection and the buffet offering. Bread and butter’s buffet conquers on variety. The Korean food is worth highlighting. Delicacy offers bulgogi, spicy seafood, and other Korean main dishes over rice fairly generous in portions(see pic) for a moderate price. The ramen is also a good choice– instant ramen noodles with beef or seafood(my favorite), sprinkled vegetables and a whole egg! Be sure to ask the cook not to cook the noodles for long time to prevent soggy noddles when serving. The noodles will be cooking inside the to-go container. Salad with unlimited topics is also a wise choice for the healthy folks. The presence of the new Delicacy in Midtown has attracted a crowd during lunch which is given noting their lunch selection and quality food. As a loyal customer of Nissi, I’m excited to see Delicacy launch successfully!
