Great place stopped in while on vacation with a group of 10 of us. Everyone got something different and nothing but complements from everyone. The Delissimo Panini, Cesar Chicken salad wrap, California Wrap, Chicken Quesidilla, Chicken Cordes Blue sandwich, Lamb Gyro, etc…

I always get the udon for a inexpensive and delicious lunch. The salad bar also has some interesting options. Overall a good deli with friendly staff. My suggestion is to either go early or late to avoid the lunch crowd. The place is small and gets crowded pretty quickly!

BESTWINGSEVER! I have to fight temptation to not get them all the time since I work next door. If you are around Central Park, definitely recommend stopping by to try them.

Good local place to stop by and grab a quick bite! Yummy hot and cold salad bar — veggies, pasta salad, sweet potatoes, and a delicious tomato salad. Nothing fancy but a much better option than any local fast food place. Plus an upstairs with plenty of seating!

This place is downstairs from my office and the staff are very helpful. In the morning they always get my order right, the coffee is always flavorful and hot. The buffet line is pretty decent and the upstairs seating is a nice touch for alone time away from the office. The place gets pretty crowded around lunch and the latte is overpriced but everything else always tastes great. The fried plantains in the back are my favorite.

An acceptable place to eat around here. Stopped by for a quite bite. Service was quick and efficient overall. Had the bibimbap, which was like a Korean salad with an egg on top. It was decent, though warmer chicken would have been better. The pesto chicken sandwich was big. Usual assortment of drinks, chips, etc. What you would expect from a NY deli that can do almost anything. A-Ok, indeed.

Heey my first update — ever! Alright so I said I would bump up the rating once these guys got the NYC restaurant«A» rating and they recently did! Therefore I bump my rating! Food is still great here with a lot of variety. I realized that they also serve ramen! I will give it a try when I get off of my wrap kick!

I give 3 stars because this is so far the only place I know that’s cheaper around. It is A-OK because I come here a lot to get breakfast. It was amazing at the first few months but recently I’m starting to hate this Deli. 1. Since there’s a construction in the area, this deli is the construction workers hangout spot. There’s always a kid that orders 20 different breakfast meal that makes the line so long and the person that makes tend to forget all other orders. I always order oatmeal but always take 15 mins to get it done.(as for just pouring oatmeal in a cup). Either I end up getting late to work every morning or I don’t get breakfast at all. 2. During lunch time, I always eat in to this deli. Just recently there’s a guy that maintain the second floor clean. He’s a very nice gentleman and I think he loves what he’s doing that he asked if he could throw away my meal when I was still digging to it. Since then I never stay in to eat for lunch anymore. 3. The space is very small for a lot of people. They should expand this place so people don’t bump to each like what happened to me while scooping rice in to my plate and end up dropping it. Believe it or not, there are kids going in here and goof around. Above all I still keep on coming back to this Deli because of its price. Cheaper than all other deli stores around and the only reason why I keep coming back here is because of the KOREANFOODS corner that’s always available to take your orders and fast.

Huge selection! Hot food(Asian, Italian, American etc), sushi, sandwiches galore. Sandwiches are expensive for what you get. Drinks are exorbitant a 20 ounce soda is 2.501 liter of water is $ 4. Oddly the fresh fruit is very fairly priced. Not amazing, but not terrible.

Great place for lunch. They have everything. They have a buffet style arrangement where you pay by weight. You also have a deli, made to order Korean food, and a salad bar Great place to grab a quick lunch if you work around the area. They have some seating upstairs where you just seat yourself. The crowd is usually just people who are working. If you’re touring around nyc, there’s better places to go get lunch. But it’s quick and it’s easy with pretty good food and fresh salads.

Holy Sammich Batman! This place has been sitting just a block away from me the whole time I’ve been complaining that«there’s no good, cheap food near where I work». I got the Italian Hero, and it’s delicious. Got that and a soda for around 10 bucks. Good deal. Good sammich. There’s also pretty cheap sushi that looks fresh.

When I worked in the area this was my Deli of choice. There were a few different ones scattered around the blocks but I was loyal to Delissimo. They always had fresh food that was very tasty and the menu was large. Service was good and the seating upstairs was nothing special but it was always clean and they always had 2TV’s with sports and news on. They also provided free WIFI which was nice. I ate here many many times

YIKES! Read all your great reviews so sent someone for sandwiches for my crew whilst shooting in the neighborhood… I had the Vegetarian #1 seemed harmless enough Avocado Sandwich. Well turns out something wasn’t right! I just puked on the side of the street and feel more gurgling coming on. I think it was the pesto! Heed my warning Vegetarians! Two hours later edit… I’m still puking!

We are going to Central Park Zoo for an event and are looking for a pizza place and we’re coming up with nothin’. We’re just not getting any hits. We finally come across Delissimo Deli as we’re quickly approaching Central Park. We go inside and check out the huge menu. They have all kinds of sandwiches, cold, hot, this or that, it’s a little daunting. My friend and I are looking to get a sandwich but it’s 3 o’clock and dinner is going to be served at our event later. I figure we’re in New York and we need to get a pastrami sandwich. The guy starts asking us every question you can want for a sandwich. Tomatoes and lettuce? Mayo or Mustard? What kind of bread? What kind of cheese? Hot or cold? We come to a hot pastrami with tomatoes and lettuce with mustard and horseradish on a roll with swiss cheese. SOGOOD. We came out of there $ 7 lighter. It was worth it.

Love this place. I work a block away and this is my goto for the salad bar. They have a great selection and the food is fresh. I’ve been trying to hit up this spot before the peak time… and for me, that’s between 12:20 — 12:45. OR like 11:45 — this way, I can get the salad that I want. This place is so popular so the later you go, the slimmer the options are at the salad bar.

My favorite deli near work — great quality, wide selection. I’ve been looking for a regular deli over the last 6 weeks and have been to a few before checking out Delissimo. First time in, got a hot roast beef sandwich — tasty and huge for $ 9. Second time(today) decided to hit up the buffet. Ox tail, salmon, good chinese, shrimp, and wings are all available for $ 8/lb — skip the fried rice and go for the good stuff. They also have all sorts of various/interesting snack foods available plus a good quality self-serve salad bar. The service at check out is definitely a bit curt and prices are higher than I’d like to pay, but it’s Madison Ave, so whadya gonna do? If you’re in the area looking for lunch, this is a great place with a ton of options.

«An indication to play in an especially sweet, delicate manner. « This little deli is a great drive-by for my favourite snack. Large iced black coffee and the most amazing M&M cookie. Legit… manufactured by Chris’ Cookies company this morsel is insanely amazing. Loaded with M&M’s baked into a crisp yet soft sugar cookie you cannot go wrong. They also have a pack of 4 mini ones too. Best idea to share if yer looking to avoid the guilt. The coffee is not the best, but gets the job done. They do run out quite often too. This deli also carries a hot food buffet and the usual midtown lunch choices(sandwiches, cold bar, chips, a bazillion beverages, sushi, and the usual random groceries.) Seating area upstairs which is usually empty and a touch on the warm side.

I work a block away from here and frequently visit for lunch. Although the selection of food is the same as any other deli in the area, what makes me come back here are the sandwiches. Every time I come and ask for specific meats/cheeses in a hero, I get a STACKED sandwich made for a king. I never feel cheated with food here. Plus the guys making the food can understand english and always get it right. Very friendly and I never feel rushed throughout the whole experience. The buffet rarely changes but the food is usually fresh and the sushi wasn’t that bad. Only negative thing about this place is the size. It’s very narrow and when it gets crowded you have to squeeze by people while trying to get your food or drink. There is seating upstairs but I never have time to stay and it always looks filled. if your in the area and want a bite to eat I would recommend this place.

This deli is near my office and has become my go-to spot when its too cold or windy or rainy to venture any further away from my office. I don’t love the salad bar because the selection is somewhat limited and your choices are either to go really healthy and use the salad side, or go way unhealthy and eat all the stuff soaking up teriyaki and soy sauce. Aside from the salad bar, they have a decent sandwich and hot food counter, and even some sushi in the back. One positive is that this place is never closed. I’ve never walked past it and seen it closed, even when I’m in the office late. They also do a great job on the breakfast grill, cooking up high quality bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. The tough time to come in here is during lunch because its not a big space and you body bump at least 10 people trying to navigate the place and get what you need. I still remember the old days when this place was a pizzeria owned by a grouchy little lady. I suppose its better now, even though there are 5 other spots(All About Food, Delmonicos, etc) which have an identical business model.
