Very accommodating staff and the environment was pleasant. The actual facial process was a bit on the lightweight side. My face did not look any brighter than when I came in, which is what I expect from a facial. Very very basic process and products were not that effective. I will continue my search for a good facial in NYC. Been here a year now, still not impressed.

I had a wonderful facial today! I left with my skin glowing and feeling more relaxed! I already made an appointment to go back! The aesthetician had a flawless face and looked years younger than i assume she actually was. Maybe they have hired a new one since the other reviews, but the was amazing.

I had purchased a groupon for a facial and microderm in hopes of finding a new place to get facials. Having gone for the past 15 years to a different salon, I was unhappy with the new owners and tangible change in their special services; I had expressed this to the esthetician at the beginning of service and clearly she had no interest in impressing me and making Diane Young my new facial and microderm place for the next 15 years… I got to the location for a 2pm appointment, was escorted into the room at promptly 2pm and asked to change. The microderm and facial were over at 2:40pm, and that’s with the 5 minutes or so it took me to change both in and out of my clothing. Prior to purchasing this groupon I had looked into the salon and its services. A facial was billed as an hour service, and having gotten Microderm before I am aware of it being a 15 – 20 minute process. This expected 80 minute process was sorely cut short, by half… Thinking that the purpose of groupon is to introduce people to your services at a discounted rate in hopes of gaining new clientele, I was sorely dissappointed when my value of $ 225 felt more like a value of $ 5, when the groupon, itself was more than that. Clearly this will not be my choice for future facials, as the experience left me wanting not only a better pampering feel, but also a better facial. Microderm, a ten minute face massage, ten minutes of extractions and a mask do not equal a luxury beauty or spa experience. I barely had time to relax before I was told I was done…

I’m giving 2 stars for location and ambiance. The facial and microderm was a joke. Old school.

Pretty sure this spa actually made my skin age during the process of my facial… I guess i have high expectations and since moving to NYC i’ve been searching for a good facial that actually has some legitamite benefits to it(ie clean extractions, glowing skin after, etc) If it wanted to pick at my zits, i could have done that at home… for FREE. You should not leave a facial with your skin looking worse than when you arrived. EVER, sorry i’ve had extractions before and my skin still looked wonderful after, they have to actually know what they’re doing. Nothing special about this place. My face is now red and bumpy, the esthetician was old, had bad skin and had hairs and acne on her chin when i’d look up at her, should have known from there that i was in for a bad one… when she«steamed» my face she didn’t even put the machine close enough to it to actually accomplish anything. Slapped a mask on my face, left for 20 min, came back to clean it off… that was it. Glad I have some time for my face to heal before a big event I have coming up… my face was better off BEFORE i went to this place. pretty disapointed 2 stars is being generous.

Had a facial here the other day. The salon itself is lovely — in a townhouse setting that feels intimate and exclusive. The staff was very warm and inviting. My facialist was also very nice with beautiful skin herself. All the niceties aside, the actual facial itself was underwhelming. There was a lot of light touching in egg beater type motions on my cheeks, neck, and around my face, but ultimately it just felt like a show was put on for. entertainment. and didn’t do much of anything. Since it was described as a deep pore facial, I was expecting more extractions, but it was very, very minimal. I expected much more and I actually had more pimples two days after(they didn’t use the usual disinfecting wand machine). While I was a little more relaxed leaving, the actual results were minimal so opt for elsewhere if you mean business and don’t need a show for your skin.
