Another great event at the Directors Guild Theatre last night! They showed the 39th episode of Netflix’s ‘Orange is the New Black’ and then the Hollywood Reporter interviewed 6 of the key actresses and the casting director on stage.

This is a poor theater for actual film viewing, which the previous reviewer did not experience. There are perhaps a dozen good seats. The balcony seating is too far from the screen and most of the main area is entirely too close. Nice seating area to lounge in downstairs with old framed movie stills gracing the walls. It is strictly closed to the general public, which is certainly no great loss to the New York film scene. No concessions, as no eating or drinking is allowed. DGA, or DOG as I call it, is usually packed with hearty retired industry people who think nothing of waiting in line outside for hours year round, thus depriving the reasonable people of their optimal seat choice.
