Dr. Douglas A. Taranow, a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon in New York City, is highly regarded among both patients and peers alike. With a diverse clientele that includes models and actresses from across the country, Dr. Taranow is a world­-​renowned lecturer and has performed surgery in South Korea and Thailand. These procedures were telecast to hundreds of Plastic Surgeons attending the conference. Dr. Taranow has also performed humanitarian surgery in Ecuador. He completed his US medical school training in 1984, and then completed a year-​long internship. He followed this with a four­-​year general surgery residency becoming board eligible. Dr. Taranow then completed two years of Plastic and Reconstructive surgical training in New York and Philadelphia in 1995. Part of this training included the care of burn and trauma patients.

Specializing in surgery of the body, Dr. Taranow is known for his refined techniques and skill in areas such as breast augmentation, breast lifts and reductions, liposculpture, abdominoplasty, and The Brazilian Butt Lift. He also offers facial enhancement procedures, including Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®. Dr. Taranow also performs facial fillers using Radiesse®, Juvéderm®, and Restylane®.
