A little playground hidden off the main street by a dilapidated tunnel between buildings off Carmine, or if you go to 6th, you can walk through the public park area and walk through to the playground via a small gate. Older, but swings and a spiral slide, plus two stone frogs and two stone seals to sit on. Older, but still enjoyed by the little one.

Though a bit run down, this tucked-away, almost secret little playground in the heart of West Village is the perfect bit of respite when you need a moment to relax. There are a few benches for you to rest your feet, and on weekends, the kiddies usually aren’t there, affording you some peace and quiet.

The restrooms here are open every day(or at least weekdays) until 3PM; I was directed here by the barista at the coffee bar across the street, because they don’t have facilities.(A place that sells diuretic drinks and can’t even provide a toilet? Hmmm…) Haven’t gone to the playground itself – naturally – but the toilets are clean. Wish they could be open longer hours, but in this neighborhood it’s all about the kids.(Children are our future, you know.)
