Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins

Am I seriously waiting in line for Dunkin?
Of course I am. It’s not their fault that they put in the training manual to take a year to serve each customer. Nevermind that it is 11:15 and all I want is something small and hot to drink to keep me warm on my walk home from the express train. Nevermind the woman in front of me who certainly shouldn’t be going for that 7^th donut order considering she probably comes here everyday. Nevermind the sisters in front of her who order 3 donuts and ice cream and then have the nerve to order more donuts. I’m just doing my best to remain patient and listen to Celine Dion tell me about her heart going on. I’m good. It actually is nice not to be in the Starbucks machine for once. Listening to the fake radio they call satellite. I actually have a DJ speaking softly and thanking me for listening and telling me about all the lonely people out there looking to find love on the airwaves.
Abdoullaye serves me quickly and my vanilla chai is piping hot. I wish they would dim the lights in here a little. Make it a little less sterile. I also wish the guys behind the counter were a little more time efficient. A couple extra hands might help. This is a pretty big place so the management may want to consider hiring on some more folks for night shifts. 11PM on Tuesday is apparently a demanding time. Sucks I had to wait so long. They might’ve pulled a fourth star out of me. That Vanilla Chai was pretty good.
