This place lost a star purely because sometimes the wait is sooooo damn long. I’ve spent many a night in here, back when I was in this neighborhood a lot, waiting and waiting. That being said, it’s soooo fucking worth it. I now live in Sunnyside, Queens, and I travel all the way to this place(by car) for the food. They make the absolute best Chinese food. I only know of one place better and it’s in Harlem. I’ve eaten Chinese food in every borough, and this is place is amazing. I should mention that I’m a vegetarian, which really makes finding good fast food, nevermind Chinese takeout, hard ass hell. The General tso tofu is amazing and my boyfriends gets the sesame tofu. Tofu is hard to get right, and we’ve never been disappointed in the food here.

Great fresh mom and pop chinese take out spot. The owners are always very nice and the food is always on point. Probably my favorite chinese in the area.

This review is based off of one dish, my personal fav. YOUNGCHOWFRIEDRICE Normally if you ordered this from your local Chinese restaurant they’d brand it «house fried rice» but the actual name is young chow. This dish is prepared by seasoning rice in 3 meats. It’s authenticity is usually validated by the use of food coloring. Rule of thumb, If it’s yellow it ain’t the one! I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants specially trying this dish. Not only do they get this right, but they even have a specially made hot oil sauce. The rice is fluffy, white and perfectly seasoned, you can actually see traces of pork, chicken and shrimp all mixed in. You’ll have to ask for the oil but it’s the perfect kick for spicy fans. Do it.

This Chinese spot is the only place i order from since they accept cards. However, the food is also really consistent compared to its competitors. The chicken does not taste rubbery and the rice is not fluorescent yellow haha. Decent place to order from and they usually deliver really fast.

The wait can be a little long sometimes but the food in this mom and pop run Chinese restaurant is a notch above the rest in the neighborhood.

As Christopher columbus, may say, I discover a new restaurant. the food is well made, taste great and is delivered on time. their General Tao’s chicken is one that I have on my hit list, We have many chinese restaurant, but this one is my favorite of them all, their cooking has a different flavor, not to oily, seem to be cooked in peanut oil, not veg or Canola oil, and taste so fresh. Hey Im not to hot when it comes down to pork but i like their Boneless ribs, with chicken fried rice, not to much fat on the pork, very delicious. all in their combination plate. I also love their mix plates like there diced chicken & shrimp combo. Hungry yet? great stop for takeout also. but dont take my word for it, stop on by and pick up a menu or some food.
